- Building a turbo 5 rotor Supercar; the MF5 Superlite
Join us as we craft this SLC Superlite, integrating a turbocharged 5 rotor engine with the unique Mazzei Formula twist. Drawing inspiration from the illustrious 1990s Group C prototype racers, like the iconic 24 hour winning 787b, our build features an innovative 5 rotor motor, promising a one of a king V10 Formula 1 like sound.
Following along as we meticulously complete the drivetrain, writing and tuning to prepare for an unforgettable driving experience.

But What sets Rob apart is that he's an ordinary man like me and you that Put the time in to Learn every possible thing he would need and build that car from the ground up with HIS OWN HANDS to the same level of big budget Race teams. Crazy.

I thought of a five-rotor several years ago, and I love that I'm living in a time where I get to actually see and hear one come to life. Mikey might've revved it on camera first, but you could still be the first to run it through the gears like a PROPER race car should be.
Bro managed to talk about the wheels for 3 minutes and the camera guy never actual showed the wheels once. Thats impressive camera work.

I feel like I can’t be the first one to suggest this, or maybe it’s already happened, but you and Rob Dahm should do a collaboration. Both of you guys have an outspoken love for rotary motors, and it never hurts to get two brilliant minds together.

Rob is an exceptional engineer. Though not all things are perfect, he has a purpose and direction for what he does.
I hope this car ends up in Forza or Gran Turismo, absolute attention to detail.

To the guy filming it (I assume his name is Thomas)
When he speaks about the things it's always good to record how you did, except it looked like you were afraid of using the joystick to move the camera up and down, for example he is talking about the front ventilation/duck on the front wheel and you're basically showing us the front light, instead going lil higher with the camera and tilt down to show the duct.
It's also a good idea to do B rolls, so when he was talking about the vent you could afterwards make B-Roll shots of parts he was talking about and add it to the video.
Just some feedback as it looks that you will have a bright future ahead filming cool shit :D
Edit: Also I don't know what camera you use but you can delay the auto focus, at least I can do it on my Alpha 7 IV, so it doesn't constantly zoom in and out like crazy

You captured the essence of 90's Le Mann's style cars and F1 with this project. Truly incredible from both an engineering/design standpoint and a primal rawness that you just don't get out of all these whizz bang fancy electronic computers they call cars now. You deserve every pat on the back you can get.

It's hard for David Mazzei to *not* be my favorite human. I didn't think the Formula RX-7 could be topped - it was my favorite build to follow. But holy damnation was I wrong.
For some reason, this video especially makes me think of Jason Statham in the mechanic the way Dave is walking around so casually dressed, talking about Vehicles he understands like no one else

But it isn't a mid mounted super car with a massive turbo like this. He's sponsored by Redbull and making packets more money and has full team of mechanics and technicians dedicated to work on his stuff..... They aren't specialists that are working on many other projects that are putting their skills and time aside to work on your car..... Like in your case; they are not working on anything else other than Mike's stuff. This what you are doing here is on another level. Everything about this build has come from you bro. You understand each and every component and how expected to work and what development and changes need to happen to meet your own expectations.
The mind inside the head of David deserves applause bro 👏 well done with all you efforts.

Beautiful car! Your going have alot air turbulence with the fender vents and the rear mirrors being so close to each other, you will not have clean air through there. 3d scan it and run it through CFD and you will see thats a problem (hot spot). The fender vents can be done at less angle and partially internal like half in half protruding also you can raise mirrors or move them, it will clean it up alot. That mirror placement will be important, with CFD you can play with it for a good sweet spot for clean airflow. You can see with most prototypes they move mirror behind front fender vents out of the way of that high pressure area.

Been waiting for years for this to come to reality, been following since the 4 rotor rx7 that was a dream car build and now this is on another level. The rx7 look/build is still my style but this build does not get my hard on down to a chub in any way whatsoever, its still raging over this build lol
