This is a tutorial showing how to interpret NDB and ADF indications using a Relative Bearing Indicator. We will compare this with the G1000 RMI indications also!
This is based on a question from the FAA Instrument Rating question database before the NDB questions were removed. This tutorial will help you with tracking an NDB using the relative bearing indicator.

I’m so confused! Can you help, if I’ve intercepted the 290 magnetic track from the NDB and I have to apply 7 degree of drift correction to the right, what would my relative bearing be?.?

If you're on the 290 bearing from the NDB, but you're flying to the NDB, in zero wind this would be a 0 Relative Bearing. If you've needed a correction to the right for wind, the relative bearing would be 353 degrees as the NDB is now slightly left of the nose.

Sir, i think the angle between aircraft and ndb should be 35 at first. You showed it as 45. Am i wrong?

@@piquecuriosity yes you are wrong 😂

I can not get how it is possible to have 45 degree angle difference when we are heading 170 and relative bearing from the ndb station at that time is 315. I even drew it and opposite side of 315 is 135 and difference is 35 degree. What am i missing?

I think you are not taking the position of the aircraft into account. Have a look at the map view on the video

@@Taylair I did actually but what makes me confused is if we draw line between our heading which is 170 and 315 degree relative bearing then it turns out to be 35 degree. Why we take outer angle instead of 35?
