I love the manual artisan feel, it brings a bit of “well, what did I just make today” the r91 can do that as well very easily or you can can the precise repetition for the rest of the household so best of both worlds you could say
Great video!, i own the machine for 2 years and I enjoy it everyday. For the touch screen for some reason you have to use you thumb and it will work like magic 😂😂
Thanks for the video. I have had mine for over 2 years. enjoy the coffees it makes. I can't say I had good repeatability with the programming and there always seems to be variation in output between pulling the first shot and the next. I resorted to adjusting manually as I go. I have a small gripe with the lack of support online for this machine but maybe it is expected that you don't do the service on these yourself. I think that for minor jobs like replacing the grouphead seal/gasket, you should be able to do it yourself if you chose to. If you can share any ideas how the seal can be removed it would be much appreciated.
Love the video thanks so much again very much looking forward to owning one in the near future Luke. Really can’t wait to see more videos of you playing with this beautiful machine . Loved the video you emailed me putting the GS3 and Rocket side by side to compare 😊 they both look amazing thank you
Question: How do you compare that to the Rocket Epica? Short of the saved feature, you would be manually creating that. Are you impressed with the Epica or would you stay with the R91
You can do everything this machine can do with vbm domobar for one third of the price. Thx for the video great machine but in no means this baby deserves 10k
As always, a great presentation. One odd question…does this replace the art of crafting a good espresso and relegate it to, in some manner, a heartless, soulless science? If one could automate the painting of, say, the Mona Lisa, does it somehow relegate the output to being something less than art? To me, this appears to take the “joy” out of the crafting. No? And is it “worth” $7000 more than my ECM? Incidentally, I have the same question about the Decent.
Good perspective, it done not take the art out but give give you a better set of paint and brushes to make the art, you still have to decide the recipe you use. The decent is similar but you tend ti get very technical on the decent, the pressure on the decent is next level if your wanting flow control it is crazy tech
You could also say painting with your hands is more artistic than paint brushes because a paint brush is a tool to help the artist make better drawings.
You answered your question. "Art" depends on the eye of the beholder. If say a computer could replicate Mona Lisa perfectly to the atom vs the original who's to say? With money "worth" is what value you put on it.
@@rxonmymind8362 In general what dictates value is the story behind the painting. Davinci spent years painting it and all the detail he put in could never be done by a computer
Do I totally need to directly feed the machine to a pressurised water supply? I am interested in playing around with pressure profiling but I don't know about direct water connections and the importance of it for such machines. I'd really appreciate any info on the matter as I'm in the market for the R9 or the Sanremo YOU very soon.
You don't need to feed the R Nine One into a pressurized water supply as the rotary pump in the machine is more than capable of providing enough pressure to pressure profile your extractions. If you do choose to plumb the machine into a direct water supply then you will have to install a pressure limiting valve. You'll just need to refer to manufacturer specs to make sure you install the valve that will provide the correct pressure. Hope that helps and makes sense :)
Was intrigued by the leadin with a forked pallet. Looked at Rocket a couple of years ago before going to a Decent XL (which is great btw) but a part of me still hankers after a G’s Slayer and now a Rocket although how hard to tilt the gauges/display to eye level?
Can you connect a Bluetooth scale like your Acaia Lunar to it and do gravimetric brewing or did they exclude this feature just like in the VA E1 Prima? Would be a shame, I can’t understand why nobody offers this basic functionality in these uber expensive machines when you can get it in a Decent DE1 for half the price…
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters exactly, the big commercial machines like the Linea or the Black Eagle Gravimetric feature integrated scales, because it’s more consistent, why not integrate Bluetooth scale compatibility to bring that feature to the prosumer market, I don’t get it, can’t be that hard…
Thanks for the review. The review & the machine were very impressive. Does This machine have to be 'plumbed in' in order to be able to do all that pressure profiling ?
No, it just started from a 0 bar pressure, if you plumb it in to mains water it will start at 3 bar and you can then have a reduction valve if you want to start back from 0, all our tests were using the tank
Bought one, thought it was fantastic but had so many issues I had to return it. I’d be really interested if this was compared to the new Sam Remo You. Look like the same machine but different brand. Is that your thoughts too? Hopefully more reliable. Love the Chanel. My go to coffee guys!
Sorry to hear you had issues, it would be interesting to see what issues you had. I have played on the you as well, there is not a lot of stock here yet to get our hands on, one day I’m sure we will be able to compare
@@JusBThankful it sounded like pump cavitation; however they replaced this and still no luck. I think it spent more time in the shop than on the bench 😢. They tried quite a few times. Anyway, picked up a second hand slayer and that’s been bombproof.
New R9one being announced at host this year. Should be interesting.
I feel you Luke, with that question. I'm a big fan of LM myself 😂

Ordered Mine two days ago and cant wait to unpack This chonker ❤️
So excited for you! Congratulations
How has your experience been so far?

Great to hear, i mean if you have one you can’t complain, they are nice, thanks for the touch tips. Happy brewing
I agree completely with you
End game machine! Was thinking on R58 but this thing!
The r58 is a wonderful machine, this is its big brother 😂 if your in Oz reach out and we can hook you up with any rocket model
@@ArtistiCoffeeRoasters Unfortunatly I am not. By the way thank you for your review and offer.

I wonder which machine do you prefer - the GS3 MP or the ROCKET R9 one
I heard there releasing an updated version later this year ?
Possibly, not sure will keep you updated if they do!

I don’t understand why the machine’s pump isn’t sufficient to allow for pressure profiling without it being plumbed in.
Question: How do you compare that to the Rocket Epica? Short of the saved feature, you would be manually creating that. Are you impressed with the Epica or would you stay with the R91
To be honest we haven't used the Epica yet so i couldn't make a call or pass judgment on that. Hopefully one day soon.
Wow, what a beautiful machine. Mmmmm, nah, I'll stick with my Nanopresso, much easier to lift.👍
Another great video.
😂 it gives you espresso and a 💪🏻
If someone wants to have fun profiling seems liem you should buy a decent right ?
You can, but the r91 one will do it the same on the screen and allow you to save it very easy. And you have good steam to froth with
If we compare it with Bezera MN DE , which one you recommend?
Sorry we have not been able to play with the Bezzera, so I am unable to comment. Cheers luke
Both are different machines

You can’t tilt the gauge as you would tilt the machine and then it won’t be level, the drain would spill every where 😂

No Bluetooth, these machine are designed for volume, the de is not a steam power house, but it does a mean brew for sure

It really is! So nice to have a play on it
I really want one now!
I’m on the fence, I’ll play more and see if I sell my gs3
Couple of questions. Can you run just the brew boiler? Does it have any automatic start feature?
Yes, you can turn off the steam boiler and you are able to set timer/schedules. I'm using it with a smart plug though, but either way works.
