Oh, you looked great all dressed up! And, oh my, what big ears you had! LOL! Hope Ian had a very successful time. His "inventions" are all great! Thanks for taking us along and showing us all the wonderful people and things! Love to you, Ian, Mom, Dad and of course, Mr. B!
How fun was that! LOVE the videos and the photos! Hopefully, you and Ian had a fantastic time and Ian sold a LOT of his creations! Thanks so much for sharing!
I’ve done single day fairs with my husband (vending bowls and pens that’s he’s made with his lathe). So I have a tiny idea of the work involved, but a whole week! I hope you did well. The creativity and artistry represented in Ian’s work is fantastic. Thank you for showing us around. ☺️
Amazing...the costumes and all the steampunk vehicles of all description. So much good natured spirit! I've never seen so much steampunk in my life! You're looking very sharp as well Mike. Sorry the weather was so warm. I hope Ian sold out!!!!
WOW... so much fun and enjoyment... saw the doxy in a woman's arms and wished you could have taken Mr. Bentley. Great week I'd say. Again... thanks for sharing.
That was such a fun Vlog! Steampunk folks really know how to have a good time, everyone looked so happy! Hope Ian sold lots of wares and you both enjoyed yourselves.
Wow!! The Asylum Show looks like it would be fun to go to (especially in steampunk attire!). I saw sooo many things I'd like to buy ( including several of Ian's items...especially that lady's handbag!). I hope Ian was able to sell all his wares. Enjoy the rest of your week!
Absolutely brilliant! I live in Lincoln, but I'm too disabled and housebound to go. It was great to see your Vlog and catch up with some familiar sights! The costumes are great and Ian's machines are fabulous ... :-)
Asylum 2019 was the first Steampunk Festival I ever went to. I'd been into Steampunk just 9 weeks when I went, and hadn't got much of a costume at that point, so just cobbled together something from my wardrobe and the few bits and pieces I bought from my Whitby holiday a month before! Three looks (formal, traveller, Goth/Steampunk hybrid) are developing very nicely thanks to all the spare time Lockdown's given me, all nearly completed. Can't wait to give them their first outing next time!
That was soooooo great. Thanks for sharing such a happy bunch of people with us. Everyone was having such a good time!! Loved your costumes , Mike. Ian's set up was exceptional. Hope he sold out! Such beautiful work that man does!
Great vlog. Hope Ian sold lots & a good time was had by you both. The City of Lincoln is my favourite place followed by Newcastle upon Tyne, then Leeds. We are very lucky to have such great places. Mind you I am a Lincolnshire lass with a lot of Yorkshire relatives too. 😊❤
Loved seeing all the steampunk stuff, Mike and Ian. Would love to go one time but seem to be cutting it a bit fine these days... Wonderful stuff. Great display of Ian's things there too. Hope the bathroom went well, thanks for sharing your week.
My friend Jeff was at The Asylum - i have no doubt he will have spoken with Ian about his lovely inventions. Jeff always attracts a great deal of interest himself with his dapper look (white hair, goatee beard and tightly curled moustache) and is usually sporting a number of exciting homemade weapons, crossbows, mutant dolls and goodness knows what else. We wlll all be at the Eastbourne Steampunk Festival on 7 September so hope we have good weather, but not quite as hot as Lincoln.
Fantastic mike and Ian. I always look forward to seeing your vlog from Lincoln Asylum. The costumes were just terrific and Ian's table looked amazing. x
Wow that looks like so much fun, it's definitely something I'd love to go to someday. Love all of Ian's work, it is amazing. I loved your pith helmet Mike. Thanks so much for sharing, I really enjoy watching everything you do. I feel like one of your extended family members 😊... that would be the mad convict one in Australia 😂😂😂
Wow! Your stand looked fab 👍🏼👍🏼 You are amazing makers. I missed Lincoln this year as I was busy, 1st one I’ve missed for years 😕Off to burlesque in October over in Blackpool so going full steampunk then instead 😁💙
ffOh my goodness Mike! At least Ian got some Antioxidants from the chocolate, (Roll with it Ian!) I am with Ian on the weather issue. I was rather hoping to see if the little boy with the racers blades on was in costume. How unique could that be??? Thanks for sharing with us again Mike. Hugs to you both, your parents, and of course, the amazing Mr. Bentley.
That looked amazing. It looked like you had a great time. We were at Whitby for Halloween a few years ago and caught the steampunk weekend. It was fantastic.
What a fun vlog!! So many gorgeous & amazing creations & costumes!! Really awesome!! Ians & Karen's artwork was fantastic! I just love it all so much!! Great job!!
Great blog! I love seeing the Steampunk show. Thanks for taking the time to share with us. Loved Ian's booth-such neat items, and I love seeing all the costumes, really loved those wings! I know you guys will understand-please say a prayer for our fur baby, my husband and I as we are getting ready to send our little fellow, Teddy (a shetland sheepdog mix) across the rainbow bridge next week. He has Lymphoma and his time is growing short. He is 14 yrs old so it has been a good life but it is almost time to let go and it is going to be hard to do.
Grandma Snyder there is a Steampunk event coming up in SanDiego. I believe in September, it’s called the Gaslight. Won’t be going myself this year, but has always been fun in the past years. You get to become another person.
WOW!!! Thanks for taking this video and for all the pictures. Looks like you two had a really good time. My son plays bass guitar, would you be so kind to ask Ian for an estimate on making a table size steampunk bass with lights and all, not big and fancy, just really cool. Also, is shipping to Illinois in the USA expensive? Thanks Mike.
Wow! what a wonderful place to have been, wish I had, thank you for the photos, just love Ians pieces, Mike I loved your goggles. Is this an annual show?
