I go to the GMall of Cebu to renew my visa. Also, it’s less crowded and cleaner than SM City Cebu. The supermarket is well stocked with the same products as the other malls. The mall has three levels and also has good products. I would recommend expats to come to the GMall to avoid the crowds and long lines.
Not abandoned, it's a newer mal that opened at the end of 2022, just doesn't have any tenants. Most likely because SM is a 2 minute walk away. Also didn't help that this was built curing the pandemic and opened when potential tenants were struggling. Now in 2024 tenants see too little foot traffic in this mall and don't want to open a branch there.
What I see THE PROBLEM here is THE MALL BRAND NAME, if that mall is an Ayala mall, SM would have a COMPETITION, lots of people will flock their, MOST filipinos are TOO LOYAL to a brand,
I'm from Mandaue City and I didn't even know that the mall has opened until around the 2nd half of 2024. There's no adverts in FB for this mall or it's tenants.
too many malls in Cebu, Gmall is near SM City Cebu and Robinsons Galleria it is also considered bad luck to set up businesses in front or near a cemetary though I heard that cemetary in front will be torn down as most of the corpse has been relocated.
People will come if they host government offices, in-door sports, put up tables and chairs. These businessmen need to change their approach. Its not just about earning money
Problem is the government isn't going to spend money to open up branches in this mall when SM less than a 2 minute walk away with government offices. Same with finding someone to host in-door sports, why would they choose this place over the nearby SM to host events?
@@Trekdood gmall already hosted chess tournaments before. From what i heard, they required players to wear special attire, leather shoes, formal pants. Tournament organizers and chess players did not like the idea. The prize wasnt enticing either. SM is asking i believe 50k per month for a chess area thats why no chess clubs go to sm anymore (both seaside and mabolo). They are in robinsons galleria
A perfect storm of being built right across a cemetery and between Robinsons Galleria and SM City.
malas or bad luck to make a business in front of a cemetery

It's a new mall in Cebu and they opened last Dec.1, 2022, so technically it's not an abandoned mall.
Because it is a new Mall, that is near to the bigger Mall🙄...GMall super markets is very nice wide ..
