Origami Barn Owl 2.0 (Riccardo Foschi) (Intermediate/Hard)

  • Things to know before trying:
-suggested paper: tant paper or pretreated mulberry paper
-if you have small hands use a smaller paper otherwise you won't reach the inside and you will struggle much more to shape the eyes (I've used a 35x35 cm but it's borderline for my hands and I have normal hands (20cm span), a more comfortable size for everyone would probably be 30x30cm or even less)
-I didn't show the pre-creasing in the video so be prepared to fold a 12x12 grid by yourself (divide in 3 then in 2 two times)
-Despite its appearance it's an intermediate/hard model, the hardest part would be the tail and the eyes shaping so I suggest you watch those parts before start folding to avoid any frustration.

I just discovered your channel today, and I've already made this owl and your simple koi design. Both are some of the best origami designs I've ever seen, full of character and life, and incredibly elegant in their construction. Keep up the great work.

Hi Sebastian! Is it you? I'm so happy you still enjoy folding, and I'm also happy that the scorpion finally found a home where he likes to stay. We learned that he is a traveler (😉), so if he decided to stay for so long it certainly means that you treat him well!
Keep doing what you love as far as you love it, greetings from Italy and happy folding!

your channel is amazing i loved folding your tree frog and pig, i was wondering if you have been developing any more pieces that you will upload on RUclips since this was your last upload and it was over 10 months ago? Also one more thing i know this is hard to ask for but do you think you could fold a origami Pangolin (its the only scaly mammal)? to be honest i tried to fold one my own using a armadillo cp i found + ryujin scales on the back (since both animals look similar), but it was flimsy and looked weird, I feel your style is perfect for an animal like that.

Thanks for your support and your interest. Yes this is the last video I've posted, unfortunately as life goes on I have less and less spare time, but I didn't give up origami completely sometimes I still fold new models, so keep an eye on the channel new models might show up sooner or later! about the pangolin thanks for the idea, I'll definitely consider folding one!

Ciao Riccardo, non mi è chiaro come completare la parte di precreasing (in particolare le due pieghe laterali che non incrociano il reticolo 12x12. Hai indicazioni? Grazie!
