The Cage campaign from 2007 was the best imo. They even made a game you could play. What I would have given to play in that cage as a kid. Still have the intro memorized. "24 elite players hold a secret tournament..." That one was just perfection.
Yeah. And this ad actually has kinda become true where individuality is being suprressed by all these Tactical geniuses and making the game robotic. Late 90s to early 2000s. Thats when football peaked. The game is like chess now.
Thing is Luke it isn't as big a sport in the US as it is the rest of the world, especially pre-internet, the important thing is you're here now, you'll see the new players come through and the new storylines that crop up, from now on you'll see the new history get made, enjoy the ride dude
In terms of Nike ads I’d recommend; Ole - 2004 World Cup Brazil team - 1998 Nike The Cage/Secret Tournament - 2002 The Footballverse - 2022 I think they are amongst the best Adidas and Pepsi have had some great football adverts too over the years
Love your reaction, Luke! i thought after all this time that commercial would've gain the same popularity in the U.S. especially considering Tim Howard was in it. 🤣
There's one Nike ad where you go pov as a newcomer dutch player to arsenal, really cool "take it to the next level" I think, there are some amazing Joga Bonito ads, there's the cage tournament that is really cool, and adidas has one "josé+10"
Don’t be down about the bits of nostalgia you missed! That’s the beauty of football, there will be moments for us all yet Which you’ll be able to look back on and tell your grandkids about one day Also, Mousa Dembele reaction please?😊🙏🏼😂
a decade later, and this advert has unfortunately become a reality. every team and player, tries to emulate the other because of Pep's successful system, The Zidanes and Ronaldinhos of the game, have been filtered out of it. Instead, we have clones. Wanna know what's scary?Seeing Ronaldo Nazario sitting despondently in the stands, unhappy that the soul of the game is gone... and then you check out his interview from a week ago, in real life, talking about how he doesn't watch football anymore because he's fallen out of love with the game, because of the exact same issues in the advert. This is why proper fans dislike the crazy takes of the modern-day fans who disregard the legendary eras of times gone by
There was so many cool ads in the past like this with real players like the one for WC 2002. But the ads in the early mid 2000s were the most legendary
WHAT? Never hear or seen that advert before! IMO there are only TWO world recognised football adverts that must be remembered: 1) Nike's Ad for World Cup 1998 Brazil at the Airport; and 2) Good vs. Evil (Cantona Nike Advert)
If you liked the videos, you should watch an Argentine movie called "Metegol" (don't know if it is the same name in english tho) it is an animated movie about one of the most popular games in Argentina and South America, basically the same as in Ice hockey they got those mini stadiums where you have plastic players. But it is great, I remember when I watched it for the first time, had one of the best times in a movie theatre in my life.
Just for you to know, the giy that picks up the legenda to fave against the machines is calles Ronaldo, by some the original Ronaldo, R9 or El Fenomeno....one of Brazils greatest talents ever. Luke that is a hell of a story to check he was the GOAT
now you need to watch Nike - Winner stays. It's my childhoods favourite video and probably the most entertaining nike ad in a long while. You should also watch ''The switch'' with ronaldo on youtube
If you haven't. You should watch all the Joga Bonito videos. Those were classics when they came out. First youtube video with a million view came from there too
Don't worry, football history is written everyday, at least you are here for the present events. The ones when we were growing up were cooler not gonna lie, but who knows what the future brings. And that's what football is all about!
I'm here to make all your dreams come true you need to watch the movie Mike Basset England manager it combines football, a movie and a great story. Its an old one but its really relevant these days now that England lost the final again
Watch the Joga Bonito videos dude. In the videos Cantona speak about players and football philosophy and then theres a video with different players in each video.
You should watch One Piece it´s storytelling is like no other, you can even react to it. I Know it´s long but it´s great going forward and when you think back on past arcs they are almost always better. And react to Fernando Torres
My theory is that the american government kept football out of the US, because of war propaganda. USA has its own 2 sports that no one else in the world plays. Isnt that obvious when you think about it. The government cant have american children growing up idolizing someone from another country. Thats my theory, after seeing how many americans love the beutiful game after one reaction video.
If u love story telling react to AC Milan by Balon trust me it’s a great documentary about AC Milan I know it’s long but he doesn’t copyright I swear 🤞🏽🤞🏽 AC Milan has the second most Champions league titles in history of the UCL
'Winner Takes All' Nike Ad is the Goat just because it includes the actual players.
Nike football players vs the devil is the goat
This
Yeah, someone steered him wrong. The real players much better. 2002
Pepsi 2002 ads were a masterpiece
The Cage campaign from 2007 was the best imo. They even made a game you could play. What I would have given to play in that cage as a kid.
Still have the intro memorized. "24 elite players hold a secret tournament..." That one was just perfection.
"Winner Stays"- Nike ad is fantastic too 😍😍😍
That ad was amazing! Both Winner stays and Last game were made for the World Cup in 2014 if I’m not mistaken
@@Jurico_Noes them joga bonito ads i still watch today
List of great football ads: Road to Lisbon 2004 (adidas), The cage Tournament (Nike), The Joga Bonito ads, adidas José+10...
The Cage Tournament was incredible
Joga Bonito were classics, Nike were insane with the ads over the years
Another one to check out is Nike’s 2010 “Write The Future” advert for the World Cup.
Yessssss!
The cage match, winner stays on and the Brazil one in the airport are all classic
This AD was essentially a look into what the future would be a decade later
That shit happening now the games gone.
@@akeemanderson4707 blame pep I guess...
The goalkeeper in this ad was America's Tim Howard btw
Yeah. And this ad actually has kinda become true where individuality is being suprressed by all these Tactical geniuses and making the game robotic. Late 90s to early 2000s. Thats when football peaked. The game is like chess now.
jogo bonito is what is missing now days.
Yeah I remember this it made us even more excited for the Rio world cup. What a story.

Thing is Luke it isn't as big a sport in the US as it is the rest of the world, especially pre-internet, the important thing is you're here now, you'll see the new players come through and the new storylines that crop up, from now on you'll see the new history get made, enjoy the ride dude
In terms of Nike ads I’d recommend;
Ole - 2004
World Cup Brazil team - 1998
Nike The Cage/Secret Tournament - 2002
The Footballverse - 2022
I think they are amongst the best
Adidas and Pepsi have had some great football adverts too over the years

"Winner takes all" and "The Switch" are GOATED Nike Ads
I'd especially recommend "The Switch" if you enjoy storytelling. Ite beautiful
Love your reaction, Luke! i thought after all this time that commercial would've gain the same popularity in the U.S. especially considering Tim Howard was in it. 🤣

@@Z33Nwa it’s coming. I did a reaction to his highlights on Patreon. His story video will be posted soon.
@@lukessportsacademy 🥳 🥳 thanks brother! I’ll go to the Patreon 🫡 keep doing what you’re doing my man, you’re killing it 🤝🏼
@@Z33Nwa Absolutely, gotta check my spurs legends 🙏
the Joga Bonito and the Pepsi ads are my favorite
Samsung ad lives rent free in my head
I remember when this came out! i agree with you...this should've been made into a movie ! It was awesome!
“Winner Stays On” is amazing as well, and so is The Switch featuring Ronaldo
The anti-Pep commercial
Who remembers the portugal vs brasil ad its a classic too
My favourite line "Clone that" 😂

While you missed out in the moment, you’re here now and we appreciate you learning to love the beautiful game
Pep-ball made the clones a reality.
There was so many cool ads in the past like this with real players like the one for WC 2002. But the ads in the early mid 2000s were the most legendary
you have to watch "Nike Football Winner Stays" as well it's so cool

❤Still gives me goosebumps to this day
Damn you pep!!!! Made this come true
The LAST GAME is a classic
"Footballverse" Nike Ad is amazing 👏👏👏👏👏👏
If you liked the videos, you should watch an Argentine movie called "Metegol" (don't know if it is the same name in english tho) it is an animated movie about one of the most popular games in Argentina and South America, basically the same as in Ice hockey they got those mini stadiums where you have plastic players. This AD was outstanding. Always good to remember how great it was.
When Nike warned us about Pep. Hehehehe
I think those ads were during the world cup in Brazil 2014!
The joga bonito ads are also something you should react to
its crazy how this ad perfectly predicted the state of modern football
The Cage was the best Nike ad imo. The all time greats in that series of ads.
You reeeeaally need to see the Joga bonito Nike ads
When i was a little kid i actually thought the players were robots 😂
i think you would also like the GALAXY11 AD. with messi and ronaldo in the same team, hope you check it out
Just for you to know, the giy that picks up the legenda to fave against the machines is calles Ronaldo, by some the original Ronaldo, R9 or El Fenomeno....one of Brazils greatest talents ever. Luke that is a hell of a story to check he was the GOAT
Would love it if you reacted to the Battle of Nuremberg 2006. Such an iconic game, for all the wrong reasons.
Hey, Luke! There's a WW2 movie, Escape to Victory, staring Sylvester Stallone and Pele. Must watch.
now you need to watch Nike - Winner stays. It's my childhoods favourite video and probably the most entertaining nike ad in a long while. You should also watch ''The switch'' with ronaldo on youtube
If you think about it, that ad essentially predicting Man City's tactics
Don’t stress about missing the history of the game… it’s being written every day. You’ll have it eventually 😊
It's the perfect ad to see when you're a teenager 😂
they predicted guardiola's game
"Heart of a Leo" is also something you need to react to
U gotta do winner stays on you’ll love it
Adidas Jose +10 is the best commercial
i am never interested on subscribing to any pattern reactions but these world cup ones caught my attention
Now you have to do all of them
The switch (ronaldo nike commercial)
If you haven't. You should watch all the Joga Bonito videos. Those were classics when they came out. First youtube video with a million view came from there too
Hey Luke, how about a video, about your first personal experience following an entire Euro cup?
The clone's logo is... interesting...
watch "take it to the next level" too
Nike have lots of football ads you should react they often have epic ads when there is World Cup happening
You're still in time to watch historical football moments, dont worry!!
7:48 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👀
You have to watch the Joga Bonito adds from the 2006 world cup and the add where messi ronaldo and others take on aliens for the fate of the planet.
Don't worry, football history is written everyday, at least you are here for the present events. The ones when we were growing up were cooler not gonna lie, but who knows what the future brings. And that's what football is all about!

Nike “the Switch”

Awesome Ad... Glad you finally get to watch this, but next you can watch Winner stays on. its same Era and same time this advert was running
Brazilian nationals ad were the best.
I am portuguese and yeah it is football everywhere

If you like this you''l like THE GALAXY 11 ADD that one is basically a movie lol
Then react to galaxy 11 ad thats a whole movie like ad
R9 bringing them all back :)
If you love the ad you'll certainly love br football the champions series.
You really need to watch Footballverse by Nike
There is a Samsung galaxy 11 ad about football
Love your reaction, maybe you could try football manager 24
Watch the Joga Bonito videos dude.
In the videos Cantona speak about players and football philosophy and then theres a video with different players in each video.
