  • I was bored. 4 Chiltern Railways commuters and 1 freight with spoil on the way presumably to Calvert via Aylesbury. Foot bridge between Maxwell Road and Wilton Road somewhere. Not my round so I don't know!
This line has had its time between Birmingham Moor Street and Marylebone cut by 3 minutes in recent years. Chiltern Railways have been investing their profits back into the line since they won the franchise back in 1996. Running various DMUs and Class 68 loco hauled services, they are one of the best TOCs in the country. Instead of reopening the old Oxford to Maidenhead line at a rough cost of £150million (Wycombe Railway Company), through "Project Evergreen" they installed a brand new line that will eventually run into Oxford station.
Whatever any enthusiasts opinion on what "should" happen, Bucks is definitely an area where links could be improved by extending or reopening some of the Beeching axed routes. Long may it continue. Bravo Chiltern!!
    Enjoy.
