Realized exactly the same thing mate. I’ve watched countless Noel gigs and countless Liam gigs, one in person, with them both singing Oasis songs, but none of them have done it for me. Came to the realization that’s it’s not Oasis I miss, it’s Oasis in the 90’s that I miss. Great decade for me and no reunion will bring back those years unfortunately. Wouldn’t it be nice though, just for a few days! 🍻🤪
I think I've never heard Alan playing on my generation 😲 he played really sober, straight heavy rock and not too much fills on all the songs. absolute class!! The best version of this cover, hands down!✌️
Brilliant!!! Had me in floods of tears though watching 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out' to see Liam and Noel singing together.... why can't they do that now? I understand they don't get on but Liam Noel you had a fantastic band, a fantastic thing going why waste it?!! :'(
Hearing that version of SCYHO, I'm thinking.... If only Liam could've kept his vocals this quality for a longer period of time, the fans and music press would'n't have turned their back on 'em in the slighest. Then perhaps 2009 they would've just finishd thet our and took a few years break, writing couple of solo albums and never actually split up. But on the other hand we've been having 10 years of great albums by both brothers and 'ad Ride comeback as well. Liam learnt humility and works now harder than ever for his success. Looking back Oasis weren't a perfect story, although It was huge unexpected success, the critical acclamation of the 2 first records, massive stadium tours and that 2 nights spectacle at Knebworth. On the flipside it was 2 fighting brothers, negative attention by media, unfinished world tours and bit of a loss of great inspiration during 00's. But then again, when I put their music on, no matter from which era, I feel happy, not only it is nostalgic happiness, but it is happiness and joy that is relevant today. There's this perfection of imperfection about them, they make me feel real. As much it is great music it's a way of life.
You are truly right, I couldn't barely hear a live since that period because of Liam's voice (he killed his high range notes at the end of the Morning Glory tour.. plus cocaine etc...). But the band was in fire at that time and especially when Liam was in top form as he was here.
Whats up with the dark shades on So many group's in the cover of complete darkness ? Is it because they have already sold there soul ? No smart ass replys, I'm serious this has always bothered me as in the dark if I put shades on could not see. Again I'm just trying to come to a conclusion on this as I've never asked but wondered for decades why so many do this. Anyhow besides any smartass comments, this band rocked, I would love for the 2 brothers 2 reunite and give us fans beautiful music that these 2 are so capable of.
