Are daily showers performative?

Is there a benefit to showering everyday, or are we just doing it because it's the social norm?

Honestly my travels abroad it’s not common to shower daily & oral care . But Americans it’s definitely daily ( twice a day)

bruh i hit that water every night i cant remember the last time i HAVENT taking a shower before going to bed even if i stayed in the house all day i think ppl forget the mid section stay hot just like your under arms so you can definitely be smelling in those areas even if you haven't done anything. just my imo though

I can without shower 🚿 for 2days after that I get itchy hair very uncomfortable.

Imo nobody showers every single day of the week. I change my sheets weekly but theres no need to shower daily unless you had alot of activity for that day

I go shower every other day. I would every day, but I don't have time to put lotion on my skin every day.

Ummmm I KNOW we’re not still on THIS conversation! 🤦🏽‍♀️ In THIS Texas HEAT?? You BETTER shower/bathe EVERYDAY! Even if you don’t live in a hot climate, you are NASTY if you don’t bathe regularly AND use a towel!!!! 😒😒
