if you buy ur minos relic for 86m coins it will take you 299 hours of farming anything but cane or cactus to make ur money back from JUST the mushrooms to npc if ur farming cane or cactus you get double the mushrooms so you would only need to farm 150 hours to make ur money back just from selling the mushrooms to npc and to max the garden you will need to farm more then that so yes the mooshroom cow is 100% worth it if you plan to farm for more then just the fresh update hype time
Ill just save you 8 mins, elephant is better than mooshroom if you are not hyper maxxed with like 1.4k strength, but for OBVIOUS reasons mooshroom with a minos is better than both
So yeah. If you are rich already and have lots of mp just go for the 140M option, but if you are part of the 95% of the playerbase go with an elephant pet

I use a minos relic mooshroom cow almost entirely because 98% of my time in hypixel skyblock is spent either farming, or preparing for farming.

did you change your enrichments to give strength?
Minos relic gives 36 fortune on a lvl 100
no fortune vs 36 fortune on beans (base drop 3 and 20 bps) is 233,280 coins per hour of difference
assuming Minos relic costs 80m then that’s 342 hours of farming beans to make up the difference.
However I still consider the idea of thinking whether or not a Minos relic-ed cow is worth it or not pretty stupid
People will always been interested in buying them, and as long as they’re selling, then it’ll be worth it to buy them simply because you can resell them. Only big consideration is how much the pet drops, but even then that’s no where near 342 hours of farming.
Of course this is comparing an 180 + 36 vs 180 from elephant which isn’t reasonable for all, but the best I can do

288,000 per hour extra
if it’s 50m then it takes 173 hours to ‘pay itself off’ when you could just sell it if you really need your money’s back
it is worth it because you simply can sell it, and this is with ideal conditions fyi.
Something to mention with the Minos relic part of what I said is that I chose beans since it has a high base drop and npc sell price making it optimal for showing the worth of the Minos relic

Still though like I have stated previous thinking about whether something will ‘pay itself off’ is pretty stupid since the cow retains its value even after using/upgrading it with a Minos relic
I’ll add in what calculation I used for calculating mushroom cow vs elephant
For base money per hour I used: (3600 * price) * (bbps * base drops * (1 + ff/100) - bbps)
Price = price it sells to at npc (can be bazaar too, for unenchanted version. just depends on how you’re comparing)
bbps = blocks per second, blocks per second broken caps at 20
base drops = amount of crops something drops at 0 farming fortune
ff = farming fortune
the - bbps at the end of the equation represents replenish, I didn’t include it in this calculation for simplicity, but it doesn’t make a difference for the comparison as I didn’t use it for either.
(3600 * 3) * (20 * 3 * (1 + 0/100)
10800 * 60
648,000 coins per hour with no relic (didn’t mention but 3600 represents time in seconds, or in this case the amount of seconds in an hour)
(3600 * 3) * (20 * 3 * (1 + 36/100)
10800 * 81.6
881,280 coins per hour with relic
881280 - 648000 = 233280 coins per hour extra thanks to relic
80m/233280 = 342 hours worth of farming (343 actually it’s 342.9)
as for mushroom cow, it’s ability is based off bbps. 20 for normal crops and 40 for cactus/cane (2x for cane and cactus since you only have to break the bottom block to get effectively 2 breaks, so in reality you can break ‘40’ per second even though you’re breaking 20)
so since lvl 100 is guaranteed 1 Mushroom per break, 20 breaks per second, 20 mushrooms per second, 80 coins per second. 288000 coins per hour from mushrooms. 50m/288000 = 173 hours (173.6 hours)
Now ill consider selling my moushroom cow and use my elephant

well, you pretty much need that fortune since jacob's contests are scuffed and you would otherwise need farming 60 to even unlock farming 60 when it comes to cocoa, cactus and mushrooms

Bruh I remember getting a mooshroom cow like 4 months before the garden update. Only paid like a few mil. It was cheaper than elephant at the time.

I found wheat to be a good first gold bc the farm is easy to build/harvest and the competition isn’t bad at all

not gonna mention this in my big comment but if you sort by newest it should be below this. Normal comparisons are pretty sucky because you can’t do them exactly perfectly. I’ll also mention that using the calculator in the replies can be tailored to exactly your stats (just use some brain power)
Get a chimera 5 Daedalus Axe and use mushroom cow with minos relic for best fortune
only works for scane and mushroom since it can't instabreak/can't have replenish
@@antoniozwicker8110 wrong. it works for coco beans as well but its only better for beans and then for cane unless u have a 1b hoe its worse for mushrooms bc of the broken cutter ability that gives +100% mushrooms instead of the 30% it says so if u farm mushrooms with 800 fortune in tab ur actually farming them with 1600 fortune and for stuff like cane carrots wheat wart and potatoes the fortune in tab will be higher with daedalus axe bc it doesnt show the crop specific bonusses of the hoe
