I like how on point this analysis was. Almost nothing aside from Jude was left for later, things were explained the moment something relevant was said/shown. Really loved the narration and how no scares were omitted from the viewer, AND there was no talking over any scare so that the viewer could enjoy it. Vol. 5 has really brought it back for me, it's the most deliberate and tasteful chapter since vol. 1 in my opinion. How do you like it, where do you personally rank it? One thing that stood out to me personally was how when the guy on the phone, who I assume to be like the "organizer" of this relocation switched his tone. It's one thing when you can hear the initial frustration in his voice when he finds out Jude didn't leave, but he goes further. I'd say calling someone "filthy deadbeat" is at least a bit over the top, to begin with, BUT THEN he starts saying "I know what you did, don't try and pretend that it didn't happen. Do what you have to do, do the world a favor." I wonder what they're accusing him of, AND ALSO, how do they know what happened? Who are "they" exactly? Not to mention that the last sentence does seem like a very aggressive hint towards Jude to end himself. Now, remember how in the orientation call the organizer mentions the "Silver Ford Taurus"? Well how about that, back in the start, in Operation Census, unregistered Ford Taurus was seen by the agents of USDTP, however the driver had no face that could be discerned, as was shown by the camera captures. Which leads me to believe that the actual torture started not when the alternate "saw" Jude. More like alternates were messing with Jude the entire time of vol. 5. The only time the alternate might have actually been fake is when Jude saw one at 4:30 AM, otherwise I feel like they would act if Jude was actually seen, indicated by the whole ending sequence of this volume. I feel like the ending sequence is definitely not a lie. They've shown him a vision of him hanging himself, and Judas dies in the Bible by hanging himself, actually. You've also missed out on the fact that Jude's full name is "Judas Murray" as was shown on their prescription bottle. Which was already obvious, I mean, if you haven't connected the dots that Jude = Judas, idk what to tell to anyone who didn't. I think Jude won't make it out of there personally, whatever's next potentially entails in Jude being found in the same state as Adam was during "Presto". Also, Gabriel says "it was supposed to be you" which means most likely that Jude was supposed to die in place of Lynn during the events of Intruder Alert/333. Given how she was factually a "believer" or "follower", I do wonder if her death wasn't actually meant to happen. It would make sense that she wasn't supposed to be the one dying, since she could've been someone who would potentially serve as a person who would make others aware of alternates, while Jude serves no actual purpose to alternates aside from rewriting the Genesis by erasing the people who could be related to whatever the new version of "gospel" is in this universe. Which in turn leads me to believe that whoever Gabriel is targeting, it is very meticulous and deliberate. Done with a certain purpose, unlike other alternates present in TMC. I really do wonder what's next for Mandela. Personally would love if it would go even further back. But at the same time, I'm interested, no matter where it goes from now.
