Orochi's bread and butter is spinning.
Oro Chi is extremely unrealistic. And it’s executions are too anime like. Kensei-aside a few jumping attacks- is way more grounded, and many of its executions are doable.
Especially his heavy Deflect 3 whole seconds back turned (RIP Orochi heavy Deflect)
If For Honor was super realistic, the Warden, Lawbringer, Conqueror and Centurion would be unkillable
Who cares about being a buckethead when their fancy swords cant cut the bucket?
Cent would need a shield
well cent and conq both exposed arms so one good slash could dismember them and it will be hard for knights to see and breath for the sake of protection

Fun fact: In medieval times, most of knights was heavy armored, which make swords useless in fight (because you can't cut through the armor).
But, you can totally defeat someone in the armor with a masse or a hammer. That's why war hammer was a pretty popular weapon against heavy armored knight (the idea is that you CAN'T damage the armor enough to go throught with a sword, so you have the damage the human INSIDE the armor. Hammer and masse do the job very well)
I'd wish they'd use someone else than Orochi, he doesnt have a lot of realistic attacks. Though i do like him a lot for being stylish

I feel like Kensei would've been a better one to showcase rather than Orochi simply because of how tiny Orochi's moveset is ingame.

Literally no difference in hi and low level for honor. The basic moves do not change. The animations are the same and high levels just feint more

I wanted to see them react to Orochi's deflect, It's so unnecessarily stylish but I love it.

@@jjv706 what's that got to do with the video or comments? And I'd say Kensei is superior by a mile. Better mixups, lights, punishes, and damage output.
Any hero is better if you know how to handle them, of course.
@Fijan Valkenhim I was saying it because of the kensei comment, it is the samurai of the samurai. Of course, orochi is the best samurai, only that it is more difficult to handle than kensei.
@@jjv706 Orochi is C-tier while Kensei is A-B tier.
Always has been. Orochi is much easier to handle than Kensei, Kensei has much more tricks and mix ups to understand than Orochi who has 3 unique moves(which is just different dodge attacks in a direction).
The devs said that characters like Orochi and Warden were originally going to have scabbards to sheathe their swords in but the idea was scrapped due to clipping issues.
Yeah especially since some blades have extra bits
I mean vergil yamato has his sheathe and still has cleaping issues but I think it's Beacuse of the size since it has a really long blade
But still even if you have cleaping problems it looks way cleaner than having the swords holded on the hands like they were part of some cosplay

I love how they choose one of the characters who has the most anime like executions in the game but to be fair this game has some of the most unrealistic fantasy/anime styled executions and combat but damn is it fun when you're not being exposed to constant toxicity
Can we talk about how in the duel the highlander gets a light parry and punishes with a light. Rule number 1 of for honor kids know your punishes.
That highlander can't fight at all, just throws random light-heavy chains or raw heavies and eats dodge attacks over and over since he can't feint apparently
HLs punish for a light is an unblockable heavy, well the players most likely are'nt that high rep to showcase those game knowledge to the fullest, im just glad they chose for honor to react to, considering For Honor doesn't get any attention in the gaming scene.

Lol as a orochi main, I see some bad mains playing him/her. Cuz they spam XD I can kick an orochi spammers ass with ease I done some pretty also feint combos that they try spamming I can return every dmg with a combination of attacks mixed feints.

3:50 thank you, you have to know that before Breach mod heroes had animation on minion kills that actualy gived to us good reason for think one shot, for exemple orochi don't hit the shild but the head of the minion. But now minion die simply if you touch them basicaly.

If he game was realistic, then lawbringer would absolutely decimate every shred of everyone's flesh.
Maybe apart from jorm as hes the onlyone that could even think of damaging lawbringer
Jorm and shugoki could prolly bust him up enough for other people to hurt cause their weapons would decimate armor
And again the poleaxe is the most versatile weapon in history :)
Well in For Honor lore, the Lawbringer is one of the strongest heroes.
@@behemoth7354 ...that's if they even were able to get close to him, they both wear very little armour and both of their weapons don't have the range that law-bringer has with his pole-axe, meaning all he has to do is literally stab from afar and win, cheesy? Yes, but this is realife and that's how war worked back then AND today, never give your enemy a chance to fight back, even if it means fighting like a "coward".
I would love to see martial artists react to the entire solid snake vs liquid ocelot fight at the end of mgs4.

These guys need to do Samurai showdown at some point. (The pose execution is a reference to that since Warden is in the game) Or just some FGCs like Yoshimitsu (both versions), some Soulcalibur characters and even Nagoriyuki in the new Guilty Gear

True. It's basically action movie level of realism. Rule of Cool thru and thru. Based off real techniques. No one's flying and anime-jumping through the air (except maybe drop-down 1-hit kills). But cranking up the flashiness while sacrificing realism.

I remeber when I was a detective young and restless while on the Swanson case chasing the two brothers after killing their dad during work. He worked at an electrical firm and some how they blew a hole through his stomach and left through the vents. I had tracked them to an exit vent outside after giving chase only to be suprised as a gaping maw in their chest opened with sharp teeth. I mean I shot them but it was a hard job back at the coroner's. The incident rocketed my career in the small town of Skalden Massachusetts. I retired but I still get a hit of nostalgia just thinking about it.

Something that I do love about these guys is that yes they may nitpick EVERY SINGLE THING, but they know it’s a game, they’ve played the game/had some experience working on the game, but even when they nitpick the games they immediately follow up with “instead of doing that, you’d do this instead” I think video game makers need to watch this series because it could potentially help them improve and take notes on what to do and what not to do
i wish they would use kensei or actually show an orochi deflect because thats one of his coolest moves
I wish they would do a video with this with each factions executions and have different specialists break down the executions

I'm a bit late, but samurai do have kunais for emergency needs.
They hide it under their armour.
If their knocked on the floor with their blade away, they can use their smaller blade or their Hidden kunai to protect them.
For Honor part 3 with Nobushi. Demonstrate hidden stances, kick, ranged bleed (backwards light) heavy and nobushi's natural dodge flow

REALLY wish they had spent more time talking about the Execution at 6:59. That is an ACTUAL Samurai swordfighting move that was pioneered by Sasaki Kojiro, and he did that move using KENSEI'S weapon (the No-Dachi).
