This video tells you to turn on a device with the broken power button or no power button.
I have tested this in Moto G2 2014 device, it worked perfectly

But when I get to the bootloader, the volume up button isnt select, it is used for scrolling like the volume down
Dude how about the other scenarios like the volume up/down button is for scrolling and for select is power button there's no guide

For my android phone on the reboot menu, the volume up and down buttons are the up and down, and the power button is the ok button. However, my power button doesnt even work. No every time I switch on the phone it comes straight to the reboot menu. What can I do?

Hello buddy. Your video is great! I got the Bootloader screen but my Moto needs the power button to select the START option. Both volume key's navigate up or down. So my question is how can I get around this? I am terrible at tech lol.
Check if your interior power button attached to motherboard is fine , then you can use tooth pic to do it

thanks for the visual,... BUT one question.... On my Moto G6, yes, how do I "select" anything? I don't have a functioning power button for the purpose? (the volume buttons yes present different options, and I can have it pause at one or the other, including start, but I can't actually select them.... and without any selection, it reverts back to this infernal boot-loop, and in my case, suspect its because the power button is "stuck" in...)
That's my exact issue, same phone too. The only way I know to fix it, is to take it apart and reheat the solder for the button. Sadly it's not an easy task, but their is a video here on Ytube of it being done.

Guys, I would say, don't power on or off your phone in this way. I used this and my phone froze completely, like completely. If your power button is broken, get to a shop to fix it.

hello my mobile is same moto g2
which is not starting & power button is badly damaged.
when i connect it to charger it turns on for just 10 seconds then it gets off. nothing showing in display.
Did you root the mobile or is there any problem with the charging port or are you trying to charge the mobile after long gap?

no problem with the charging port.
actually my phones power button was damaged so used small pin to press it for turning on & i did it for 4 to 6 months. but now it just not charging. but getting hot early.
so any chance to blast?
@@anandawale2465 that is not a problem , even I'm using the mobile like that , I still have that mobile now, and it is working fine, I just installed ressurction remix rom ,which has a option to turn on the screen by pressing volume buttons so you need not press the power button with the pin
@@TalkWithMachine yeah but for that mobile need to switch on. and its not switching on. when i put it for charging. the small white notification light gets on for 10 continues 10 seconds. then phone display shows that 0% charging. and suddenly gets turn off.
i tried to keep it for 3 to 4 hours & again put it to charge then again it shows small white notification light & 0% charge.
sometimes it charges like 3 to max 4% but not switching on.
can u tell me exact problem & solution? i want some data from that phone. thats why please help
@@anandawale2465 may be it the battery problem, for some even I face this issue, the white light glows for 10 secnds and it starts charging , sometimes it doesn't charge, I left the mobile dead for a week and tried charging it , then the same thing happened and after sometime it showed 0 % . It charged to 100,

It worked for me for any Samsung phone who doesn't have a home button or broken or damaged
Step 1 - Press both volume up & down key together
Step 2 - Connect the phone to the laptop
Step 3 - A blue screen will appear mentioning about whether to customize OS, and you have 2 options (Up - Volume to continue) and (Down Volume for Cancelling and restart the device
Step 4 - (VERY QUICKLY) without wasting a second as soon as the blue screen appears release both the button and only press the down volume button, 100% it will on the phone.

Power button is not required for me, volume down is for navigativing and volume up is for selecting

But my Samsung phone had power button for selecting. If its power button for selecting I'm almost losing my phone by the next switch off. Is there any other measure buddy? Coz I don't wanna lose it. My power button isn't clicking. Its like, its stuck down and won't come up or won't click.

it is in Chinese because motorola is owned by lenovo Probably, there will be a different way to go into fastboot mode in moto E3, check how to enter into fastboot screen for moto e3
