Hello Luke! I'm Lucio. My dad (Sebastián) had not told me anything about your greeting, it was very funny when I put on the episode to watch while I had lunch and I heard you. Thank you very much for your episodes, I find them all very entertaining and interesting and they are helping me a lot to become more familiar with the English language.
I'm so glad that you took the MBTI test as I'm a "personality nerd"✌🏻. My test result was "INTJ" . I've taken so many MBTI tests to make sure of my result and I do recommend everyone to do so if you really want to find out your true personality. I also recommend checking out Frank James's 16 personality videos to get better understanding of all sixteen types.
Hi, Luke. Thank you for your detailed explanations on the reasons why you chose your answers, your fine sense of humour and your friendly and honest disposition. Greetings from Argentina.
Hello from Ukraine! I am listening to your podcast while crocheting a sweater) It is great to be able to do both simultaneously! Thank you so much!!!☺️
Hi Luke, These tests always fit somehow. It's really like the horoscopes. There's something for everyone. I really enjoyed your podcast again. Always varied, interesting and never boring. I really appreciate your work and I also enjoy browsing through your archive. And by the way, I'm still awake.😊
In this case I absolutely agree with Jordan Peterson! I can’t wait to listen and read all of this episode. In Switzerland companies use the ‘Big Five Test” as far as I know…
😅 I don't sleep during your episodes Luke, I usually listen to them while walking the dog and then pause them until my next walk. Regarding the test, I tend to agree with you because tests are unlikely to accurately determine our personality 100%. They will probably be able to entertain us and help us stay positive and believe in ourselves in some situations where we need support and find it difficult to answer some questions at a particular moment. But in the end, we quickly forget about the results.
Hello,Luke! I really liked how you debunk the test and going through all the questions in a funny, sincere yet skeptical manner)) I laughed so much while listening to you! your reasonings and examples are hilarious and entertaining:) I have taken this test a year ago, and I was claimed as ENFG-T aka Protagonist) back then I was blown away by the test since it’s so flattering! However I loved your point of view about this test and you helped me to look at this one from a different perspective, it broadens my horizons. Thanks for your insight. Kris from Russia, Sakhalin island
I have listened to this Podcast since 2016. This is my first time to see Luke through a visual material. Haha I couldn't dare miss the chance to check you without beard. I didn't know that you had beard though.
I really like your comments on these things, and I really like your funny speeches and jokes. I am not a skeleton, and your sense of humor enriched my day, as did the countless new (to me) words in the English language. I have started listening to your enjoyable talk and I am glad that it is not too late to discover the pearls of my English learning journey. Thank you a lot!
Hello Luke, I realy enjoy watching you. So I fully agree with you. I'm also very scptical about this test. Your podcast helps me improving my English. Every day I listening an episode. Thanks a lot Greatings from Austria😊
Great episode, lots of useful vocab for learners. I personally liked this test, I took it twice with a 4 year gap, and of course there’s no way I remember what I answered 4 years ago. My result is consistent, and I could it very accurate and relevant. I don’t know, maybe I got lucky or perhaps I was more open minded and enthusiastic and did not disregard questions as being stupid. Anyways, doesn’t harm to play around with it.
Hi Luke! I do not sleep during your podcasts, but since I've begun listening to you (not so long ago) English is spoken in my dreams, which had never happened to me before! Your input is certainly effective. Keep up with the good work and thank you!
Hi Luke. You have a great sense of humour! I love listening to your stories. I have introduced your podcasts to my students. I use them in my classes, especially the stories with a twist. Thank you so much for your time and effort!
We are glad to see the Bangladeshi flag behind you luke 🥰❤️ I have been listening your podcast for like 4 years. I have accomplished an expensive English language from you by watching and listening over the period of time. You are like my friend who not only inspires me to obtain a language but also gives me a number of outstanding moments to remember upcoming days. I cannot thank you enough luck's ❤️ Love you from Bangladesh 🥰 Saif
Hi Luke, I am Anya, I had been leaving a comment before on the episode the importance of listening how much I got inspired by listening. Some of the episodes i can manage to understand 30%, for example the episode talking about Paris Olympic I want to share good news with you, which is I can understand 70% of this episode after listening to it for the second time. I am overwhelmed with joy. Listening did help improve my English skill! I am surprised that you tend to be an introvert person, I thought you were the type of extrovert! After taking the mbti test, as Luke mentioned before, i agree that it is a great chance to reflect on yourself and it depends on the situation at that moment, different results will come out depending on your ages and mind.
Hello Luke, thanks for your new episode!😉 It's really interesting and I like it so much. 😆 Though I've heard about MBTI many years ago, but I had never taken the test until I found your video about that. Before I try to take it I believe that I will got a introverted and finally not suprised I get a result of ISFP-A. what I want to say is that I totally agree with you about that the MBTI Personality Test is pseudoscientific, because there are over 8 billions people in the world, and human being is a complicated social animal, affected by their different surroundings and many other factors, how can it just be concluded into 16 types of Personalities, but we can use it to find ourselves thinking or feeling, although It will change anytime anyway. 🤔
I learned a lot of English so far. I won the first place in my country (Sri Lanka) for the Flyers exam because of you.Thank you very much for your episodes, I find them all very entertaining and interesting and they are helping me a lot to become more familiar with the English language.
Hi there I am from Uzbekistan I start listening your podcasts 3 month ago since then I really improve my english and keep listening you you like a real teacher and mentor for me I really enjoy the way you are teaching us talking us 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hi Luke I enjoyed listening to this episode and your elaborate, witty lecture. I fully agree with your summary. The personality descriptions are clichéd, and it's completely incomprehensible what benefit companies gain from using this test. I found it amusing to see you take the test because there were many questions where I also asked myself how to interpret them and where I would place my answer on the scale. And the result: haha, you are a 'multiple personality' 😅. I think the test is a bit of a fun experience and a way to talk about ourselves with friends, like with tarot. And I also think that you have to know yourself quite well to answer the questions. Does it make a difference if you answer the questions quickly and without much thought or carefully? I can share a horoscope story, by the way: During his time as a postdoc in the late eighties, my husband and three of his colleagues bought a horoscope from Astrodata based on the principle ideas of C.G. Jung. At the time, C.G. Jung was quite popular among psychology enthusiasts. The four friends all first read their results for themselves, thought that there was much truth in it, then they all read the text out loud to the others and each description fitted more or less to all of them. The Barnum effect sends its regards. Dear Luke, I am a big fan (which I am not used to being). Being retired, I look forward to coffee (not tea 😄) with Luke's podcast every morning and am actually making progress with my dusty English. Thank you, dear Mediator!
Thanks Luke,it was informative I enjoyed n learn that this test includes only positives n at d end of test, their result is also giving happy n positive remarks,as if their goal is to make everyone feel good about themselves ,n at d same time can reflect a bit on their result n get deeper look on self.
thanks for your podcast! I also regularly fall asleep while listening to some episodes)))) but it's not because they are boring)) it's just a load on the brain as soon as English is not your native language! So, Luke, don't take it personal because we don't switch off your podcast episodes, they're interesting, we keep listening because we want to... but our brains just let us down))) Thanks again for your work)
I've taken this test for the second time (the first was in 2022) and both times is the same result(mediator as you, Luke). I couldn't remember my answers apparently. Well, I think it's ok if it's changing over time but it's strange that it's so different for you over short period of time. So we can withdraw that it depends on how strong you relate to any personality type. Maybe there are more personality types which were not listed in this test and it's needed some upgrades
Please make an episode when you'll take the Big Five personality test🙏 It's the most scientific one, psychologists use it in their practice... I found it the most accurate of all I've ever taken + has very good vocab to go over!
@@mratre7335 Right, it's "neo-pi-r" test. I think there are different versions, as well as the long and short version. The one I did has a short version of120 statements, it claims that most people complete the inventory in 10-20 minutes🙂
@@mratre7335 Right. It's "neo-pi-r". I believe there are different versions, as well as the long and short version. The one I did has a short version of 120 statements. It claims it should take on average 10-20 min.
Lucke, I took big five test. Although it is accurate, it is reliable for a certain period of time in our life. Because each 10 years our personality will change
In my opinion, a good way of making the test more accurate is considering some boundary conditions, for instance if everyone could do the test imaging they are in a particular situation at work in a meeting maybe.
I saw all of this video. I think mbti test isn’t accurate too. because I got a result of ENFJ before, but when I take same taste again, it said you’re INFP!😂 This is the first time that I listen your podcast. I thought Your English is very clear. I’ll use your podcast to improve my English skills. Thanks Luke!!❤
I am not a skeleton 😂I have been listening to your podcast since September 2023. Firstly it was difficult for my brain to listen the whole episode up to the end and I split it into 2 or 3 segments. This year I decided to listen to your podcast from the very beginning . During the week I listen to your archived episodes and on Monday or Tuesday a new one) I recommend your podcast to my friends but their level is lower and it’s difficult for them. Some of your earlier episodes suit them.
Fiquei curioso para saber o resultado do seu teste, que quando notei, já tinha se passado duas horas de vídeo . Acho que o resultado muda de acordo com o tempo, porque mudamos a maneira de pensar com o tempo
Hi Luke! I'm a university student from China. I really love this episode. MBTI is very very popular in China, but I don't think it's a reliable test. My results varied from INTP, INTJ to ISTJ to ISTP.😂
That's great that you mantioned White soft underbelly channel which is worth it to watch as a way to learn english as well as your channel that I personally find one of the best of all time. Keep up the good work. Hats off as always.🤓
the test beomes popular because recent years the Korean put it in TV programes with Korean artists and movie stars . Then it turns into a hot topic when audience and fans start to talk about the personalities in daily life.
Hi luke , thank you for making this kind of interesting videos . I have one idea for creating content . So can you create some video about uzbekistan country because I think , you got many subscribes who are from uzbekistan and i guess this will be one of the amazing your works.
The entertainment value of the test is inbubitable, garanteed, especially if you take it for your Lepsters and flavour it with your hilarious examples!
I am from Madrid. I am a high school teacher. I have been teaching spanish for 30 years this year and also I was teaching spanish in the US for more than three years. Well...this is just to say that I have been in the school and educational field my entire life. I am following your podcast and I am always amazed how brilliant you are as a teacher. You are so natural, so funny but so precise and with such an appropiate and accurate use of the language. If someday, somehow I am able to teach what could be consider just good I want to do it a half way you do all the time. Thank you Luke. With your podcast I can keep my english fresh and updated so easily and that is because of you.
Hi Luke, thankfully I survived and I’m not a skeleton 😂 but I do agree with lots of your listeners, sometimes you help me sleeping too 😂 Have a lovely day! Big hugs from Poland 🇵🇱
I think one should take the test without thinking that much. Just out of curiosity, I tried myself and I believe the result really reflects who I am, or better, who I think I am. I'm sure that depending on the period of your life the test might give different results, but that's fair enough. We're not the same all the time, aren't we? By the way, I was a CONSUL 🙂
Oh, Luke, my dear. As your 15 years of good friend (although it's oneside friendship), I've always thought you would be INFJ for sure, I mean, for the SUREST. I cannot accept this! lol You were supposed to answer each question right away without contemplating so that your-natural-and-instinctive-self could respond before your-analytic-and-overthinking-self intrude your head like that, which was actually not so supprising 🤣 Listening you breaking them all down and thinking alllllll the possible situations was so funny. However, I really hope you re-try that test again maybe in a few weeks or months. As an extremely inquisitive and determined ENTJ-A, I cannot settle for this. 🧐 Next time, please ask your lovely wife to answer the questions for you on behalf, I think it will give you much more objective and accurate result. Anyway, thanks for sharing that, Luke 😍
Dear Luke, this is a comment about many episodes together because I’ve started it when I was listening the episode 871. I must admit that it took me a few days to finish it, but I have to say that I didn’t become a skeleton listening that amazing, funny and long episode. I loved it. However, it took a quite long time to write the comment, and then you released episodes 872 and 873, which I listened to and I also enjoyed a lot. The way that you analyze the MBTI personality test was amazing. So, now it doesn’t make sense to write about the 871. But I wanted to send you a comment. In fact, when I am listening many of your episodes, I feel like writing a comment, but sometimes I don’t have enough time and then I end up not doing it. Anyway, better late than never. This is a comment that I want to share to you about the episode 782, when you talked about Paul McCartney. Before the comment, I want to explain that I’ve started listen to you around 2018. So, I haven’t listened all your archive yet. Sometimes, while I am waiting for a new episode, I choose some old episode and listen to. As a Beatles fan, the episodes about them always interests me. Paul is my favourite Beatle and I had the pleasure of going to his concert last December here in my city, São Paulo - Brazil. Anyway, what I want to tell you about the episode 782 is that your description about how do you feel about him in the rambling part at the end of episode (1:19:00 to 1:24:00 minutes) is very similar the way I feel about you. When I was listening it, I realize that you put in words my feelings of admiration and why I am a fan of you and of your amazing work in this podcast. I feel as if you were a friend, even though I don’t know you. You are someone who I really enjoy spend time with. I know that you are a normal person like me or your other listeners with problems, virtues and flaws, highs and lows. At the same time, I think you are not really an ordinary person, because of your ability to make me laugh, feel emotions (e.g when your baby was born - that episode was very touching), make me enjoy English even more, and make me feel happy when I understand almost 99% of your content, makes you and your show special for me. You really grab my attention. I think you are a funny guy and you know how to tell stories in a such adorable and funny way. I also love to listen your stories, your rambling episodes, your comments about everything or nothing at all, and also your guests, friends and family. In addition, I would like to suggest one episode for you where you could tell us about your ten favourite Paul’s MCartnery songs in the Beatles and tell us what do you know about those songs and your ideas about what they mean or what Paul wanted to tell in those songs. I want also to congratulate you for the one million subscribers and for you RUclips award. You really deserve, because your podcast is spectacular. Sorry for this rambling and long comment. I hope that make sense for you. My English is not as perfect as I wish yet. I wish you and your family all the best. Best Regards, Alessandra
I feel similarly - when it comes to writing down thoughts in English, it takes time. Fortunately, RUclips (as well as other media) allows time travel ;-) Thank you for your heartwarming words.
Hello Luke! I'm Molly, It's a really interesting topic, and it's worth discussing in public. This study belongs to psychoanalytic theory, and its reliability is worth pending. It may be considered as one of the forms of self-examination, but be cautious not to over interpret it. If it has had a positive impact on your way of life, then you can take it seriously.
1:35:18 you choose too much 50%to50% but through your description,I think you are an infj ,n/s maybe half half, and the result can be changing since your experience are changing, your attitude to things can also be changing .it’s interesting people are so different.
Hilarious! Very rich vocabulary (which could be closer explained on Premium?)Your description of bad personalities- super! Definitely should be acknowledged and put into the test. You create then a new, better, and more interesant version of the test, will you? 😘
Absolutely , he is good teacher I'm one of his funs also As a Muslim we believe life after death quran and hadith tell us We hope he will search it God will judge each individual by his or her deeds and that heaven awaits those who have lived righteously and hell those who have not. Thanks Luke. You are one of best teachers in RUclips .
Hi. Interesting, as usual. And provocative a bit - invites to discussion. Here are some of my thoughts: * I feel awful as you talk about the negative types. Every one fits to me. Is it the Barnum effect? (I appreciate your creativity and humour, however it touches me somehow) I don't like to think about people that they are toxic. I'd rather say, that their behavior is toxic or maybe they are involved in toxic relationships. * Is it wrong to make people feel good about their personality, to direct their attention to their strengths and inspire them to grow? What for would any test make people think that they are bad?
The test is supposed to accurately read your personality type. Whether that makes someone feel good or bad is nothing to do with it. I think the reason this test is successful is that it makes people feel good, but not because it gives accurate readings. I agree that making people feel good is ok. Nothing wrong with that. 🙂 But this is supposed to be an accurate descriptor of personality type not just something to make people feel good about themselves. Do you really see yourself in all those negative personality types which I made up? I hope not!
@@LukesEnglishPodcast 5/7 😉 😂 I'm going to write something more later (this week, I hope) about personality tests and our curiosity - I need some time to make it in English, you know... 😅
The MBTI is a pseudoscientific test - I agree. But personality tests are made to describe someone's type, not to judge. If it explore your image, it would tell us, for example, about the natural color, structure of your hair, whether it is thick or sparse, curly or straight and where it grows. It's not how you style it or what you decide to do with it. And without using pejorative words. You will never know everything about yourself or anyone. And as humans, we are more or less curious. What others know about us is also important to us, because we function in society. These days we want to know each other faster especially when it comes to get people to work and to have a big probability to fit them to the job - here is "the big five test" a useful tool. I don't have anything revelatory here, just chaotic thoughts. Again, thank you for the opportunity.
I'm not a skeleton and never fall asleep during your videos. And honestly, I 'd be terrified if I did 😮😅 I love your RUclips channel, because I always feel like I'm having fun, not learning. Thank you so much Luke, with or without beard, doesn't really matter as long as you are happy with it 🤗😀🙏
Hi sir Luke's actually I new here in your yt channel I lot of leaning and thank you because of you I understand British language accent and also I understand more English vocabulary😂😂
I love your long episodes, Luke! You always choose a good subject to teach us grammar/vocabulary. You know how to keep us attentive to your episodes. 😊

I love your voice and your audio setting. So comfortable to ears.

I do not fall asleep while listening to Luke's Podcast, it is awesome, I just enjoy it a lot!!
Please make an episode when you'll take the Big Five personality test🙏 It's the most scientific one, psychologists use it in their practice... I found it the most accurate of all I've ever taken + has very good vocab to go over!
Is it the "neo-pi-r" test? There is 240 statements.. How long would the episode be?
@@mratre7335 Right, it's "neo-pi-r" test. I think there are different versions, as well as the long and short version. The one I did has a short version of120 statements, it claims that most people complete the inventory in 10-20 minutes🙂

26:59 the test is not about good or bad,it’s about how people see the world,so,you can’t find a bad example in these types, you will see,😊
Lucke, I took big five test.
Although it is accurate, it is reliable for a certain period of time in our life.
Because each 10 years our personality will change
In my opinion, a good way of making the test more accurate is considering some boundary conditions, for instance if everyone could do the test imaging they are in a particular situation at work in a meeting maybe.
Keep it going luke 👍👍
I love it 💛
Thanks Luke.
I made this test in my english classes in Canada, was great.
The most I love the way you not only passes the test but also gives very critical comments on its validity and reliability
I saw all of this video.
I think mbti test isn’t accurate too.
because I got a result of ENFJ before, but when I take same taste again, it said you’re INFP!😂
This is the first time that I listen your podcast.
Teacher luck
I love your stories
You made me interested in the British stories ❤❤
I highly recommend 5 big model trait test!
the test beomes popular because recent years the Korean put it in TV programes with Korean artists and movie stars .
Hi, Luke! Could you please create an episode in which you tell us a story of your recording process for the 'story time' episodes?
I love this episode,
I am from Madrid.
Hi!!Luke!!How do you do?A big hug from Argentina.Gustavo.
Hello Luke...from Lima-Peru
1:34:39 - ah, that famous British humor in all its glory. Amazing 😂
jaja i only can say "overthinker" its funny how that is so strongly exposed about your personality. kisses fron ARgentina love your channel!!
Like most questionnairs it is not very easy to complete, which could be seen from the way you did it Your grimace speaks for itself
Oh, Luke, my dear. As your 15 years of good friend (although it's oneside friendship), I've always thought you would be INFJ for sure, I mean, for the SUREST. I cannot accept this! lol
You were supposed to answer each question right away without contemplating so that your-natural-and-instinctive-self could respond before your-analytic-and-overthinking-self intrude your head like that, which was actually not so supprising 🤣 Listening you breaking them all down and thinking alllllll the possible situations was so funny.
However, I really hope you re-try that test again maybe in a few weeks or months. As an extremely inquisitive and determined ENTJ-A, I cannot settle for this. 🧐
Next time, please ask your lovely wife to answer the questions for you on behalf, I think it will give you much more objective and accurate result.
Best Regards,
Alessandra
Thank you for writing this Alessandra 🙏
I feel similarly - when it comes to writing down thoughts in English, it takes time.
Fortunately, RUclips (as well as other media) allows time travel ;-)
Thank you for your heartwarming words.
Yes, planning a premium episode to review a lot of the vocabulary here, but crikey - there’s a lot. Huge list.
Yes, almost the whole book for psychology! 😊 Take your time... ❤
Absolutely , he is good teacher I'm one of his funs also
As a Muslim we believe life after death quran and hadith tell us
We hope he will search it
God will judge each individual by his or her deeds and that heaven awaits those who have lived righteously and hell those who have not.
Thanks Luke. You are one of best teachers in RUclips .
Hi. Interesting, as usual. And provocative a bit - invites to discussion. Here are some of my thoughts:
* I feel awful as you talk about the negative types. Every one fits to me. Is it the Barnum effect? (I appreciate your creativity and humour, however it touches me somehow)
I don't like to think about people that they are toxic.
But this is supposed to be an accurate descriptor of personality type not just something to make people feel good about themselves.
Do you really see yourself in all those negative personality types which I made up? I hope not!
@@LukesEnglishPodcast 5/7 😉 😂
I'm going to write something more later (this week, I hope) about personality tests and our curiosity - I need some time to make it in English, you know...
Hi Luke, I know what you mean; I've seen a few interviews you are talking about, yes, it's really heartbreaking
I'm not a skeleton and never fall asleep during your videos. And honestly, I 'd be terrified if I did 😮😅
I love your RUclips channel, because I always feel like I'm having fun, not learning.
Thank you so much Luke, with or without beard, doesn't really matter as long as you are happy with it 🤗😀🙏
Hi sir Luke's actually I new here in your yt channel I lot of leaning and thank you because of you I understand British language accent and also I understand more English vocabulary😂😂

"The longer the episode is, the happier I am."
Sara, a 5-year-old skeleton, who recently came to life!
Good day.
I identified episodes by Luke's beard. Older - without, newer - with. My system has been broken today. From other hand - fresh look is a clickbait.
Shaving bliss 😊
34:19 that means you don’t actively enough to make friends,it’s not a positive thing for you, you make friends by reason.(ok I will shut up now 😂)
