Why does everyone bag the new show? It’s actually really good! I love what they are doing. I’m not comparing it with the OG but they do keep the core of the OG alive in new one.
Dearne Maree True! It’s a hard act to follow for sure, but we should all support it! Being back in the Roswell world again is exactly what we want! I just hope the network gives it a chance to grow and keeps it on air! It’s neat to see a different interpretation while still staying true to the storyline that we all know and love! I love the different topics and modern twist!!!!
The original show hadn't a conclusive ending and we never knew what happened to the characters after the final chapter. Did they get to escape? I suppose yes, but the series never showed it. Did Kyle return to see his father? How? Could Liz and Max (and Michael and Maria) had children? How? We needed a sequel to find these answers and they did not make it and, insetead, they pretended to pass with all that material and strarting over with totally different characters
There is and always will be just one Liz. Shiri is that girl from the screen, who was so beautiful in a subtle kind of way. Without 500lbs of makeup... Everyone just fell in love with her with me on the top of that list. I will never watch that new Roswell, just because there is no way that it would be close to the original.
And that new actress who is playing Liz.... Come on... Not even ib the same league of Shiri

Ps: the future of the original Roswell cast? Max and Liz are married running a garden shop where Liz designs new plant species. Max and Maria have opened a new restaurant and occasionally Jim Valenti visits with Maria's mom, they eat, hug, update them on Roswell and Zane, who was actually readopted by his grandparents because the adopted mother died of an illness and her husband could not care for a kid on his own. Kyle is his sports coach and they get along well. Izzy went to Seattle after medical school. She worked as a surgeon under her alias Isabel Stevens (pretty close to Evans) and then she disappeared. Returned to her brother, where she works at a small clinic. Everything's pretty cool until Zane finds out he's 'different.'

I'm pleasantly surprised that this series is being revived. From what I understand, the original series had deplorable ratings (it never once cracked the top 100 in the Nielsen's) even though it lasted three seasons. I am very curious to see how the new series differs from the original.

Should’ve gone like 5 seasons. Season 3 got to weird tho. It went so far away from who they were in season 1 and 2 that they made the cast grow up and change. That’s part of like abs keeping up with the real age of the actors at that time but they should’ve slowed it down and got another 2 years or so out of the “teenage” experience. Hollywood always does this with 25 year olds lol.

I love the original Roswell and I’m glad she is having fun with directing the new one but there is no comparison in how popular or amazing the original is. There can never be a better Roswell than the original. The new one has to much modern day political garbage that no one wants to see.

I didn't make it past the first episode. At the time it premiered things were so divisive. We were inundated with politics. The shows I was watching had no political anything. I hate that all the current shows do that. I have gone back to watching pre 2014 TV shows in streaming.
Come on Shiri, I understand you being so polite as the classy beautiful woman you’ve become (not a surprise) but this new Roswell is only good as a parody. It’s like the original Roswell is the New York Yankees and the new one is some small town high school team, or a diamond vs a piece of glass.
