    These performances were so good! The artistry is so impressive!!!!! You can tell that Cold Steele put so much work into entertaining the crowd. The choreography was incredible! It's almost game time. Looking forward to the half-time show.

    One thing's for sure.....the BGMM puts on a damn show... these tickets were over $30 after fees if you got them online, and I can honestly say, i got my money's worth. After a few Hennesseys and cokes, the last thing I wanted to sit through was a drumline clinic for drummers.. you come to #GHOE for a show.. and Cold Steel gave a damn show... # AGGIE PRIDE!

    DAMN! NCAT begging announcer gets on my last nerve with all that damn begging! Hell, let the drumlines talent, determine the crowds participation. NSU drumline went out and performed, WITHOUT having an announcer to contantly hype the crowd and begging them to "Make Some Noise!" I couldn't even enjoy NCAT, because of their wanna be "Keith Sweat" begging announcer ruining everything! SMDH

      Yea them Aggies announcer always begging the crowd to "MAKE SOME NOISE!" Dude forcing their fans to yell and scream for them. That's the only way he can get them to "MAKE SOME NOISE!" LOL!

  • @PAPADUCKYT

    To determine a winner, let me help guide you. This a show, with a crowd that 8/10 knows don’t know a thing about rudiments. A&T will keep winning in these competitions because they out perform. Easy way to win a crowd over, play grooves and get down. No matter how complexed or hybrid your cadences are. That won’t matter when the opposition is doing a dance routine with drums on and still grooving. MD WAS DOPE with the ripples and cymbal solos. But Cold Steele took it 🎼🥢🎶🤟🏾

  • @deenice5764
    @deenice5764 6 лет назад +31

    A&T can dance but they dirty as hell. NSU is one of the cleanest drumlines in the Meac. I rather see MDFS play someone with a better skill level.

    Man it’s all preference. As a percussionist I’m about being clean and together. As a drummer I want to just put on a show but still with some control. I give this one to MD.

  • @GEdwards412
    @GEdwards412 6 лет назад +35

    Being a percussionist I try to have an open mind. I am an MD fan, and each year ahead of these battles I try to prepare myself for a possible Cold Steel uprising and if they will actually show up and play some rudiments. Cold Steel had a drumline (2016) go to the PASIC (Percussive Arts Society International Convention) for God sakes. PASIC doesn't just ask anyone to be showcased. You've gotta be good at what you do. I've watched MD and Cold Steel battle for the last 3 years and I have to say that Cold Steel has the Showmanship as they always do, but I know of some High School drumlines in the Virginia area that could give Cold Steel a run for their money when it comes to rudiments and overall material. The fact that they needed flashing lights and a hype man to cover up the dirt in their show said enough. I am not an A&T hater. I'm more so disappointed that it seems as though A&T holds back every year. I know that A&T is more than capable of chopping out, but this performance didn't show that. The Heelys shoes were nice with the tenor drums, but that was about it. We've seen all of the other stuff before. MDFS outplayed NCA&T in this battle once again.

    • @kennethjones9742
      @kennethjones9742 6 лет назад +8

      George Edwards Jr. Honestly I don’t think you have to play to your crowd like you said, CS is way more the capable to play 1000 notes, but look at this situation. No one in the crowd is going to understand 1000 notes hence why the crowd is so quiet during the show. When’s the last time you seen a classical piano player performing at a rap concert?

    • @kennethjones9742
      @kennethjones9742 6 лет назад +2

    • @GEdwards412
      @GEdwards412 6 лет назад +7

      I agree with playing for a crowd. However if cold steel put more rudiments in alongside the showmanship, they would win every single time. Not to mention this crowd is mostly Aggie fans so the reaction of the crowd can't be taken in to account here. Home crowd, bigger reaction.

    In my opinion it’s about showmanship and entertainment! By far coldsteel done that! Let’s use basketball as an example... Michael Jordan scores 30 points off dunks alone versus Klay Thompson scoring 30 points off of 3’s alone.... 95% of people would agree that Jordan would be wayyyyy more entertaining although klay used precision and was way more effective..... just saying Cold steel was out there “dunking “ Md was out there shooting spot up 3’s 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

      Crank Mukas bruh unlike YOU I can name those cadences that were played then in 95. Question is can you ? Nope. You can’t because you “think” you know what you talking about. But since you think you do, point them out with the time that they were played on this video. That way you can show the folks in here how much FLUFF you really in here talking. I know that people who wrote these cadences. You only know what sounds “familiar”. See the difference here. One are facts and the other, well you see where I’m going. And to RESTATE what I said earlier, there was 1 old cadence in here along with a piece of another one. We all know that. And I’ve already explained to you why they were played. You just don’t read well nor want to comprehend. It’s ok though. I’ll sit back and wait for you to tell ME about the cadences from this block that was played back in 95. Ball is in your court SIR...

      Crank Mukas and so you don’t look like complete fool I’ll even help you out one of those cadences is called Calypso Groove and the other is Untouchables. Now since that’s out the way, tell me the names of the “other”cadences that were played in 95 from this block. Let me help you AGAIN, you can’t because they weren’t. In here sounding like a bitter old head. Tighten up.

    • @AKINGSKYD
      @AKINGSKYD 5 лет назад

      Crank Mukas Calypso Groove is from 1:31 to 1:46 and a PIECE of Untouchables is from 1:47 to 1:55. So we not even talking a whole MINUTE of this 5 min plus block that was played in 95. The rest, written in the 2000’s like I initially stated. “90% of these cadences were wrote in the mid to late 2000’s” READ sir. Just READ. Now I’ll give you the floor so you can tell us when the rest of these cadences were written. 😂😂.
