My Heart Playlist! In this Alone guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this great cover song by Heart on the guitar note-for-note. Including a guitar transcription of the piano sections!
The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.
This great song starts with an instantly recognizable piano part. I have transcribed that piano part so that you can play it on one guitar. It is alway a bit challenging to play piano based sections on the guitar while still making them sound relatively convincing.
From there we will cover all of the actual guitar based rhythm parts during the pre-chorus and chorus sections.
After that, I will cover Howard Leese's amazing guitar solo note-for-note.

Nice one! Heart was my first real hard rock concert! I saw them in the late 70s when Heart was Led Zeppelin 😂. I was in grade school and was absolutely blown away! Roger Fisher was still playing lead guitar back then (I of course, had no idea who he was at the time, just knew I liked what I heard), so good! As much as I love 70s Heart (and that is my favorite era), they did a great job of attaining greater success in the 80s as well. Have a great weekend! The solo was great on that song and you nailed it great! for your subscribers and viewers to really know how that solo was put together to get that melodic feel, like most ballad solo's, is chord targeting, explain why each note that you are hitting why it sounds so great and the solo notes in the chord transitioning, and higher octaves lower octaves back to the higher octave crescendo, there's not that many notes in that Solo or any great melodic solo it's just the arrangement emplacement make them so great that only a human can do on a guitar no A I.
Anyhow what I'm saying to make your lessons perfect that would be a suggestion for your intermediate guitar players who should know the notes on the fretboard and basic minor/ major theory, that would go a long way to turn that "light bulb" on for most players without totally confusing us like the super technical teachers, I could name a few haha.
