Visit Cancun with us | 3 days travel Itinerary 2023 | Part 2 | Chichen Itza Private tour

Welcome back to our channel ya'all. Continuing our 3 days Cancun visit into day 2, we enter the pristine and holy city of the ancient Maya, Chichen Itza. Our first days visit to Cancun had already been so exciting and fun, we were already pumped up for the next day. Considered as one of the modern wonders of the world, Chichen itza is a classic example of a capital city in the mesoamerican period. Located approximately 3 hr west of Cancun, we left our hotel early in the morning to reach early at this historic sites to avoid crowd. We were simply amazed by the first look of this monument. Having gone with a private tour guide approach, which we totally recommend, we also got to learn a little history of this place. The main attraction is the temple of Kukulcan which sits ~100ft high with a step wise construction on a rather large ground space. Watch our video to learn a little secret about this monument. After having spent about half a day here, we then head to the Ik Kil cenote, which was equally beautiful as the Xtun cenote we saw on day 1, but lot more crowded. Since this was deep, there are steps that take you down to the bottom of the cenote, where you can also swim. We then head to the nearby town of Valladolid where we paid short visit to a spanish convent, and had a delicious vegan mexican lunch. Before heading back to our hotel, we stopped by yet another cenote, Chukum, which had a different formation style, and was equally breathtaking. All in all, we had some of the best time here in Mexico, thanks to our tour guides on both the days, and this beautiful country. Hope your next journey to Mexico stays as memorable as ours.

We did all of our bookings through Getyourguide.com . For the snorkeling, we went with the Ocean tours. For the personalized tour of Chichen itza, we highly recommend Kay tours. Thanks for watching.

Do they pick you from resort for all these tours?

Not all, but most do. The private tours generally do a in resort pickups. The group tours also do in resort pickup at certain times of the day, mainly from hotel zone. Thanks for watching.
