Planning my next birthday with my partner for January 2024. First time traveling internationally without the guidance of my parents haha. We love the Costa Mujeres area. We stayed at Riu Palace Costa Mujeres last year in December and had such a good time that we're going back in November.
Oh yay!! Depending on time and where you are staying- Isla Mujeres - El Cielo Cozumel - cenote. Chichen Itza is a few hours away and a long day. Same with Tulum.
In Mexico, sargassum seaweed season is generally between May and October each year. If you travel to Cancun outside of that time period you can generally expect to avoid large mats of seaweed on the beaches.
This is great info to have, we have a week vacation in Cancun coming up in May 2023, I was also worry about getting ripped off for the transportation from Airport to Resort. I was going to just purchase it from website I use, but I think I will give Nacho Tour a try.

I took my wife for Valentine’s Day. It was the most beautiful weather I’ve ever experienced! It got down in the 50’s a night or 2 and the workers at the resort wore heavy winter coats like we do in Indiana in January. Stayed at the Hard Rock. It was nice but probably will never stay at another one. It was kinda like not being in Mexico not like the other places we’ve stayed.

how do you prevent theft of your stuff at the resorts i have seen a lot about butlers stealing peoples stuff or room cleaning people steal out of the safe how do you prevent this thank you
One is I don’t bring anything too valuable, if I do bring something then I put in my luggage and lock it in there. Like our passports etc. I never use the safe and I always have my phone with me.
How does child car seats work with the precooked shuttles service to and from the airport? Can they be added? I don’t want to have to bring 3 car seats with us!

Great tips! I am going for 14 days to Barcelo Maya Palace in July. I am already not a light packer to begin with lol. For 14 days to pack only a small carry on don’t think will work lol. But will try best to pack smarter this time around even if we need to check bags. I am sure it should be okay by July got two months exact till we leave.

When you stress not checking a bag, you seem to forget there are people like me who cannot physically lift luggage into the overhead bin and also have large amounts of medication. Checking a bag is my only option.

So many people ask me that!! And it’s a great question. They only use filtered water to make ice as well! At least in my experiences and the places I’ve been. Which only makes sense because they don’t want everyone getting sick!
We just returned from Cancun July 6th and we never filled out any forms. I wven askes the stewardess on the plane and she said they now use face recognition.

Hmmm I haven’t been to Nizuc but you could look into that. The Ritz Carlton was bought by Kempenski hotels. Rosewood Mayakoba looks amazing but is towards Riviera Maya. Also Xcarete Arte also looks amazing but not in hotel zone
You posted a short reel about excursion costs booking on your own versus through the resort and how it enabled you to customize your excursion at a very reasonable price. I am traveling with my mother to Mexico, she is older and a customizable excursion would better enable her to keep pace. Can you tell me which excursion company you used?

That’s very exciting!! Usually during that time it’s much better except by The Grand at Moon Palace which the beaches are always full of seaweed there.

I don’t think so. I always bring 4-5 small little spray cans and a face tube. But even if you buy it at the resort it costs less than having to check in a bag and less hassle. Look what happened with all of those cancellations. Some people didn’t get their bags back for a week!!
@@3Days3Noches yeah losing the bag is definitely something to consider. Last time I went my resort was charging $20+ for a bottle of the spray and I ended up using almost two of them between myself and mom by the end of the trip. We were considering checking later this year when we go back just to be able to bring more sunscreen. TSA says you can only bring 3.4 ounces
Yes but you could bring multiple cans but it would probably add up $ wise the same! We spend $ on dumb stuff all year. Don’t check a bag, pack some sunscreen, buy some there who cares! Go have fun and live it up 🤗🤗🤗

Do you still get ice in your drinks even though you don’t drink the water?
So many people ask me that!! And it’s a great question. They only use filtered water to make ice as well! At least in my experiences and the places I’ve been. Which only makes sense because they don’t want everyone getting sick!
We just returned from Cancun July 6th and we never filled out any forms. I wven askes the stewardess on the plane and she said they now use face recognition.

Which resorts are best for kids 6, 3, and 1? Also looking for Moon palace Diamond member.
If you don’t care about the beach then The Grand at Moon Palace is the best. Did you want to look at a different resort?
@@3Days3Noches beach would be nice, especially for the prices I’m seeing. Looking at 5/27-6/3 (next week). Ideally want drop off kids club available for 3 year old. Most resorts say 4+. Moon palace said fine if potty trained.

Royalton Splash is newer but still working out kinks I’ve heard. Hard Rock always has good options but not a fan of them myself. Other ones I know of but haven’t been to personally are Barcelo Caribe (far from airport) Hyatt Ziva , Garza Blanca

You can bring up to 3 liters of alcohol into Cancun. So whatever you buy there they just check it at customs. If you go over the limit it’s a fine

Hmmm I haven’t been to Nizuc but you could look into that. The Ritz Carlton was bought by Kempenski hotels. Rosewood Mayakoba looks amazing but is towards Riviera Maya. Also Xcarete Arte also looks amazing but not in hotel zone

I flew to cancun in February and didn't have to do any paperwork. They scanned my passport and face and I walked through a machine.

Not super affordable but then again we’re not staying in Cancun so maybe that’s why? But we have seen better deals. Is there a way to get a better rate with Nacho Tours?

If we have TSA pre-check will that help us in the CANCUN airport as it does in the US. Will we still need to go through Immigration?
TSA is only for departing from US! You still have to go through customs

Thanks for watching!! The Costa Mujeres and Playa Mujeres resorts are nice bc the beaches are very private. Also I heard Royalton Splash which is newer is nice but the beaches can get a lot of seaweed

I don’t think so. I always bring 4-5 small little spray cans and a face tube. But even if you buy it at the resort it costs less than having to check in a bag and less hassle. Look what happened with all of those cancellations. Some people didn’t get their bags back for a week!!
@@3Days3Noches yeah losing the bag is definitely something to consider. Last time I went my resort was charging $20+ for a bottle of the spray and I ended up using almost two of them between myself and mom by the end of the trip. We were considering checking later this year when we go back just to be able to bring more sunscreen. TSA says you can only bring 3.4 ounces
Yes but you could bring multiple cans but it would probably add up $ wise the same! We spend $ on dumb stuff all year. Don’t check a bag, pack some sunscreen, buy some there who cares! Go have fun and live it up 🤗🤗🤗

How much generally is Nacho for transportation?
