Not really. He just said something very sensible and obvious, that you can only really be an expert/genius at one thing or maybe a few. There aren’t any genius scientists who are also genius writers, actors, engineers, athletes, etc. Thats why you should channel your energy into being really good at one thing other than being a decent Jack of all trades

im a liberal with very different political views from this man, but some of this stuff is honestly pretty respectable. at the end of the day we’re all human beings and sometimes we need to see people for who they truly are as a person. the fact that he fw the dark knight trilogy is what really made me respect this guy. and the fact that he can embrace his memes, the best way to go.

What Ben said about IQ and Genius is so true. It doesn’t matter how smart you are, what college you go, or any other thing. It’s what you do with it and how you live your life. For example, in some cases I knew friends that were really smart could go to Ivy league on a full scholarship if they wanted to and just didn’t maximize their opportunities, didn’t work hard, etc.

for me its so extreme that there is zero overlap in the people i know who are the most successful and those who are the most intelligent. the most successful people i know, some wildly successful, are really not special when it comes to how "smart" they are, what makes them special is their discipline. they all worked extremely hard and with extreme focus to reach their goal of success. none of them were even interested in a specific type of success, they just strived for success and went down whatever path they found. one guy opened a clothing brand and he had absolutely no interest in fashion before then, he just found a way to make it work. what they also have in common is that failure didnt demotivate them at all, they just bounced between different ideas until something worked out.
i admire their persistence and discipline.

Sorry, i don’t really see the point in capitalizing “i,” grammar nazi. In German, „ich” is only capitalized if it starts a sentence, while „Sie” is always capitalized. In Russian, “я” is only capitalized if it starts a sentence, while “Вы” is always capitalized. “Thou” should always be capitalized, if anything.

Most of the answers to the questions they asked were on the signs right in front of them, and yet they asked me the questions because they thought I had more expertise on the topic. That was hardly the truth. If you simply knew four or five facts about an animal, then you could answer 99% of questions and appear to be an expert when all you were really doing was using the go-to talking points and interesting facts. I then read a book on how Rome turned from a republic into an empire, and I saw an eerily similar theme. A politician would use their talking points and rhetorical skills to present their case to the Roman citizens, and the citizens always gave that politician exactly what he wanted. People prefer to have others think for them rather than seek the information out for themselves.

But every time I get ready to leave for the barber my wife asks me to take her to the hospital. I may very well not get a haircut before she gives birth, there's just not enough time between working, watching a baby, and caring for my sick pregnant wife. From the moment I wake up to the moment I go to bed, I am taking care of my family and I have no time for myself. So if I get to incorporate one thing into my day, it's usually sleep.

Like hearing him talk on most of his vids, he’s pretty smart.
But hearing him talk about just everyday things, like kids, and his life, it really does something to you. Like even if you hate him, you really can’t softer this. Sure, you can strongly disagree with or hate his opinions, but really, he’s just an average young man with a family and a life. Hearing him talk about some of the things in his life, really makes you like him more, and just reminds me of some stuff. Like never before would I have thought that a man so intelligent as Ben would be over here talking about kids, sports, and just genuinely joking around.
