I started making cases like these a bit ago!! A tip would be to not go at the angle she was using, go at a 45 degree angle or so to make the bumps look better. It was easy to see she was slightly struggling with keeping them connected and all looking the same but when doing it at a 45 degree angle they are closer together and you can make bigger and more uniform bumps!
You need - no. You DESERVE more subscribers. You got me into needlefelting and I couldn't thank you enough. I've had anger issues for the majority of my life, and trying out needlefelting is my way to rid stress and try to develop some patience. Sorry I didn't post this on a NEEDLEFELT tutorial, I just needed to get this off of my chest.
So happy to hear that you started felting because of my channel and I agree that it's one of the most therapeutic hobbies ever 😄. I'd love to get more subscribers and working hard on it!!
she isnt great at deco den, but its nice knowing that she tried her best. i know there's better tutorials and tips out there but these are just really simple tips :) (no need to make a big fuss over it in the comments) her pipings werent bad though. mine are worst haha
you can always use a fake buttercream frosting recipe for practicing your piping before you start any sort of more permanent piping. and as long as you store your fake butter cream in an airtight container you can keep practicing with it without it drying out. (4 cups powdered sugar, 1.5 to 2 cups crisco, water if you need to thin it and corn starch if you need to thicken it. or more sugar. beat it with a hand mixer until it's fluffy, stick it in your piping bag with your tips and you're good to go.)
Thank you for also including the tip for cleaning up after. Many forget about the clean up after crafting and cleaning those piping tips is surely time consuming.
Smh people in the comments judging her. Decoden isn’t her job it’s a creative and fun hobby. She’s having fun and showing beginners some tips and tricks. We didn’t ask for these “professional” decoden people to push up their glasses and go “ACtuALLy...” smh
1. It's called criticism and 2. People are complaining about her skills because she isn't skilled enough to do a video about teaching how to decoden. If you're not good at drawing, you can't make a tutorial on how to draw informative because it's clear you don't know the basic techniques and you wouldn't be able to give good or helpful advice. That's exactly the case with this video. Don't just come in here with that "she's having fun and it's her hobby" bullshit because if she can't decoden she shouldn't make a tutorial on it because because she will give people misinformation. People can't accept that criticism is just criticism and it's not meant to hurt anyone, but to help someone improve. Please get that in your head.
Mein Kater liebt die Musik in deinen Tutorials! Er schläft tagsüber immer neben mir, oben auf einem Regal, und sobald ich deine Videos an mache fängt er an sich zu räkeln und schläft dann viel entspannter! *My Tomcat loves the music in your tutorials! During the day he sleeps next to me, up on a shelf, and when I start one of your videos he starts to stretch and looks much more relaxxed during his sleep!
Hey Joanna! My package from Sophie & Toffee came and i love the cabochons and deco cream they r a little hard to control but i just wanted to thank u for introducing me to this. You're my inspiration!❤️
OMG!! This should definitely be a ASMR I felt sooo relaxed I could fall asleep watching this and it's not because it's boring it's just that it's relaxing!!
I remember when I typed in origami in the search bar and saw this cute video for origami stars. It was so endearing I had to subscribe. I'm shocked of how quickly you grew! I just wanted to say thank you. Also, I'm taking a visit to my grandmothers house in Austria. I'm exited!
Please make a needle felting video soon! Those are my absolute favorites! Maybe a littlest pet shop theme or even Best Fiends and see if you could get sponsored through that!
I think the novelty tip is useful for ruffles and shells (that's what I use it for anyway, I have no idea if it's the intended purpose - just that it works for me). Not a classical decoden look but I liked it :)
Hi Joanna! I recently made a decoden phone case with the same cream you used in the video and I just want to know how long it takes to dry? It's been 3 days and it's still quite spongy, is it meant to be like this or does it dry rock hard? Thanks xxx ^^
Ez Izzy If I were you, I'd use clear silicone with a tiny bit of oil paint or powdered pigments. I've also found that Silicone II had less of an odor and also works better for decoden. Acrylic paint will make the silicone cure faster, since it's water based, and leave you with little time to make the case. But do have an adult with you as silicone can be very toxic with its fumes. Also be careful with silicone and clothing as once it's on the clothing it doesn't come off.
Minus the convenient tip, would you say Sophie and Toffee is better quality wise compared to regular silicone tubes? Is it harder, squishy? Collect dust?
+Maqaroon hi, du machst sehr tolle Videos sehr bewundernswert!! Du machst so tolle DIY's!!Es ist einfach toll was du alles machst!!Mach weiter so und bleib wie du bist!
Hi Maqaroon! I have a question, if you use the decoden cream in one of the metal piping tips used for cake icing, can you still use it for food or will it be toxic? Love your vids 💖😘 Thanks
Hi! Yes, deco den cream is non-toxic and doesn't stick to metal so just make sure to clean the tips really well and you can reuse them for icing. Be careful with plastic tips because the cream sticks harder to them so you have to check that there are really no bits left even after washing
+Maqaroon hi maqaroo can I use the diy version of deco cream the you made please answer btw love your vids can you make a diy piping tip on cute life hacks please
Hi maqaroon! I have a question, is there any other way of getting different color POLYMER clay without buying a new color? Anyway absolutely love your videos! 💕 have a nice day, Thank you!
Hi maqaroon! All the tubes you get is it sold together? And wich packet is it? Also, I wanna do a phone case for an IPad mini. Is it enough or do I need to buy more than one packet?
Hi! ( if you are seeing my comments a lot it is because I'm running through a lot of your videos!) For the very wide star tip and novelty tip, I believe it was called, I would use that for shells for an "under the sea" theme! :)
Hi Joanna! I love this video! :) I just want to ask you to keep the volume of the music down a little bit. It's quite loud in comparison to the crafting sounds that I like.
I started making cases like these a bit ago!! A tip would be to not go at the angle she was using, go at a 45 degree angle or so to make the bumps look better. Hey, mind if I ask you questions about decoden?
Is soft or hard case better for this?
@@angelaadegbami2349 definetely hard, when it's soft theres a higher chance it could bend and the silicone would seperate in chunks
I love how everyone is saying she isn’t good at this but if I tried doing it it would look like a piped potato
😂😂😂
Exactly.... Mine would look like a mashed potato... I think she did great in the vid

Aquatic Llama That’s kinda rude, she’s very good at it tbh.
Ramen Noodles I wouldn’t say she’s very good, she did a decent job on the phone case but on the trinket box it was so cute!
Lemonade I agree

This looks soooo cute! Now I REALLY want a deco set
I love the music in your videos! They all have a peaceful vibe to them plus they help fall asleep.
Thanks! this video was helpful because for my 12th bday, I got some of that decoden so I am a beginner
is decoden cream a little squishy when it is completely dried?
Meggstheeggs Depends on what you are using for decoden! Silicone will turn out squishy unlike air dry clay, which will be solid.
Anyone else think her videos are so satisfying and calming to watch or is it just me 😬
Me too!
It's so pretty!

I came here thinking the tern "den" was used as in animal jam "den" meaning animal home xD
Omg that's what I thought too! XD

cRIES

I think the novelty tip is useful for ruffles and shells (that's what I use it for anyway, I have no idea if it's the intended purpose - just that it works for me). Not a classical decoden look but I liked it :)

Hi Joanna!
I recently made a decoden phone case with the same cream you used in the video and I just want to know how long it takes to dry? It's been 3 days and it's still quite spongy, is it meant to be like this or does it dry rock hard?
Thanks xxx ^^
Can you do a review on the Rainbow Loom?
This is an awesome vid! Btw i was wondering if i could use silicon and color it with paint, would that work?
late but yes its a lot better and you get more from a bottle of silicone then that small tube
Ez Izzy If I were you, I'd use clear silicone with a tiny bit of oil paint or powdered pigments. I've also found that Silicone II had less of an odor and also works better for decoden. When you switch the piping tips on different coloured creams, you can continue piping to create a gradient
Annie Goh yes
This is very useful! Thank you for this video!
I really want to get a kit from their website, will a tube be enough for a 3DS XL case? :)
no the tubes are very small you'd need 3 at least
So cute
Hi Joanna! ^^

Hi Maqaroon!

The macaron trinket box reminded me so much of the twin stars from sanrio
YOUR SO AMAZING 🍪🍪🍪🌌🌌
Hi did your glue ever get hard? Like it's hard to pipe. How to fix that? And my glue kind of shrink when it dried
This looks so cute I need to buy this❤️
thank you so much
I know this may be a dumb question, but is deco-den squishy when dried/set?
