Hi everyone! This is the longer video featuring DIYs from my "oddly satisfying" video. A big thanks to Sophie & Toffee for supplying the deco cream and piping tips. If you haven't tried it yet, deco den/sweets deco is so much fun to do, and really eyecatching. There isn't a single company worldwide that sells manufactured "deco den" accessories so each piece has that charm of being handmade and one of a kind.
Please note that the next DIY on Maqaroon might take quite a while to go up because I'm working on another dollhouse (the huge "Time Traveller" caravan). I started making cases like these a bit ago!! A tip would be to not go at the angle she was using, go at a 45 degree angle or so to make the bumps look better. It was easy to see she was slightly struggling with keeping them connected and all looking the same but when doing it at a 45 degree angle they are closer together and you can make bigger and more uniform bumps!

Is soft or hard case better for this?
@@angelaadegbami2349 definetely hard, when it's soft theres a higher chance it could bend and the silicone would seperate in chunks

she isnt great at deco den, but its nice knowing that she tried her best. i know there's better tutorials and tips out there but these are just really simple tips :) (no need to make a big fuss over it in the comments) her pipings werent bad though. mine are worst haha

is decoden cream a little squishy when it is completely dried?
Meggstheeggs Depends on what you are using for decoden! Silicone will turn out squishy unlike air dry clay, which will be solid.

I think the novelty tip is useful for ruffles and shells (that's what I use it for anyway, I have no idea if it's the intended purpose - just that it works for me). Not a classical decoden look but I liked it :)
These deco den DIYs are so cute, kind of like piping buttercream frosting on cupcakes except it's not eaten! =)

late but yes its a lot better and you get more from a bottle of silicone then that small tube
Ez Izzy If I were you, I'd use clear silicone with a tiny bit of oil paint or powdered pigments. I've also found that Silicone II had less of an odor and also works better for decoden. Acrylic paint will make the silicone cure faster, since it's water based, and leave you with little time to make the case. But do have an adult with you as silicone can be very toxic with its fumes. Also be careful with silicone and clothing as once it's on the clothing it doesn't come off.
You need - no. You DESERVE more subscribers. You got me into needlefelting and I couldn't thank you enough. I've had anger issues for the majority of my life, and trying out needlefelting is my way to rid stress and try to develop some patience. Sorry I didn't post this on a NEEDLEFELT tutorial, I just needed to get this off of my chest.

Hey du, tolles Video! Bei Sophie & Toffee brauchst du dir wegen der Reinigung keine Sorgen machen. Einfach einen Zahnstocher in die Tülle stecken und 1-2 Tage trocknen lassen. Die Deco Cream bleibt am Zahnstocher hängen und löst sich super von der Tülle ab. Sie ist etwas gummiartig, deswegen lassen sich die von Sophie & Toffee gut säubern. Kannst du ja mal an einer Tülle ausprobieren, die du doppelt hast ^-^

I recently made a decoden phone case with the same cream you used in the video and I just want to know how long it takes to dry? It's been 3 days and it's still quite spongy, is it meant to be like this or does it dry rock hard?

no the tubes are very small you'd need 3 at least
Can you try and make silicone phone cases kinda like fimokawaiiemotions not to copy but to see how you would empliment your style and your way of doing it im sure it would be cute
I actually tried making the silicone dough based on FimoKawaiiEmotion's video but sadly it didn't work because the only silicone I found in Austria was "silicone caulk". It contains a cement-like ingredient that makes impossible to work with and sticks to your hands

Hi! Yes, deco den cream is non-toxic and doesn't stick to metal so just make sure to clean the tips really well and you can reuse them for icing. Be careful with plastic tips because the cream sticks harder to them so you have to check that there are really no bits left even after washing

hey maqaroon i was wondering if you could tell me where to find pre made macaroon shell shapes or a nice mold for the tiny macaroons you make because its impossible for me to make all the same size. (im using polymer clay but resin clay is fine too!)

I've seen people take silicone and mix it with different dyes and stuff, would that be cheaper than pre-made stuff?
It's much cheaper tbh. You just need a piping bag to put it in if you're coloring it (you can use it straight from the tube if you just want it white). acrylic paint is good for pastel colors and food dye / ink works better for dark colors. I've also seen brown silicone caulking in home depot so if you can find that you can make chocolate cream really easy.

Does the piping just stick to the phone cases, or do you take it off when it dries and glue it on?
Hi! The cream sticks extremely well to the phone case and all the decoration pieces. So there's no need for glue at any point
