think it’s kinda pointless to compare them as they have debuted in two aged of music consumption that are totally different.
Taylor debuted in the height of digital era, Ariana debuted at the death of said era.
Taylor’s album sold more because people bought the albums on itunes/in physical while Ariana’s forte has always been streaming which corresponds to minor sales.
Taylor has the luck of having a fanbase that has always been dedicated to consuming her music on physical which allowed her to rack up way more sales.
Taylor’s masterful move was to be able to become a streaming force aswell while still retaining a commercial appeal on the physical market, one that Ariana always lacked

they are included in the sales of the original album. Even with Gaga’s The Fame/The Fame Monster the two albums were treated as the same unit. Even with greatest hits, the sales of each songs are generally added to the sales of the original album they belong to… that’s how chartmasters operate

So Ariana is on good way to be in one of the most bestselling female singer in 2034, if she continued to be popular. So, both are great, but Taylor is the most best selling female singer after Rihanna in period after 2000. But if Adele would have more albums, I think, Rihanna and Taylor would be ruined by her. She has only 4 albums and small promotions and she is popular in every continent. Taylor is not popular in Europe so much. Folks in Europe listen more Madonna Gaga, Adele, Beyonce, Lana Del Ray etc... I think USA is Taylor's region and Canada, America.. Not Europe.

But Taylor beats her in streaming and pure sales by far, Rihanna only wins in digital sales. They’re both remarkable though. About Adele, you’re right that she could have sold more if she had been more productive, but 30 wasn’t nearly as successful as 25 and 21, it sold less than Evermore, which is Taylor’s lowest selling album besides the Christmas record. So I am not sure that she would have been able to replicate the success of 21/25 many times. Taylor has been more consistent with the sales of every album

"not to be a hater" and then goes on a rant that makes 0 sense. her albums are usually spaced out by 2 years and that is more than enough time for any artist to release another album. the only time she has dropped albums in rapid fire is her rerecords, but thats because she doesnt want to wait literally a decade to drop a fresh album, so she does 2 rerecords a year usually and a new album the next. also idk what you mean by she doesnt let her albums rest because shes still performing all her old songs years afterwards. she is a businesswoman and she knows how to market her albums and when to release them to garner the most attention and money.
