  • Hey peeps, and welcome to another Project Unicorn video! Wow! So today is a BIG ONE. Claire's Jar of Unicorn Wisdom question is a toughie: what 28 things have I learned in 28 years?
To be fair, I'm not quite 28.... not till March, but whatev.
    So, what HAVE I learned...?
I hope you enjoy, and please feel free to drop a comment below, or, if you'd like, ask me a question for the Jar and I'll include it in a future video!
    Stay amazing, my fellow unicorns!

Great list of things, I could relate to a lot of them, especially the 'take the medicine you've been prescribed' bit haha! I also love Disney too!
Hmm a couple things I've learned:
True friends are hard to find, if you find one, work hard to keep the friendship strong.
Disneyland is the happiest place on Earth 😁
Keep pushing forward even when times are hard. Never give up
Always be thankful for everything you have in your life
That's all I could think of on the spot! Great video! 😊💜

+Sasha Fitzgerald Thank you! They're fantastic things to have learnt. It's very true; good friends are definitely hard to find.
I've definitely been digging deep and finding out just how strong I can be in tough times at the moment.
Stay amazing my fellow unicorn! 😉🦄

Claire is really good at putting you on the spot with these questions! If I had to think of 28 things it would probably take me forever. You have so much great advice and insight in your videos. I love them so much!
#19 was probably one of the most important things I've learned in my life. And also one of the hardest. Self acceptance really does make a huge difference in pretty much every way. This can be one of the most difficult personal battles someone faces in their life, especially if they are different or feel different in any way.
Another big one was... number... 20... 21? 23? 23! yes! Never go to sleep on an argument. This is extremely important. It was recently proven by science that negative emotional memories are hard to reverse after a night's sleep. I don't know what it is, but even trying to go to sleep when there are unsolved problems in my relationship seems to amplify the negative feelings so much more. My boyfriend is the kind of guy who isn't great at dealing with tough questions right away... he has to take time to think about it. Meanwhile I wanted my answer yesterday. And trying to go to sleep while these things are left unfinished not only makes it harder for me to actually get to sleep, but seems to make everything seem worse than it actually might be. *sighs* It's really hard loving someone who is bad at giving you the things you need. ><
The only things I would add to the list are, Suicide is never the answer and It gets better. No matter how bad things are today they can always get better. The waiting can be really painful and it can be hard to be patient but the wait will be worth it.

+Poodlepaws44 Aw! Thank you so much! Yes, accepting myself continues to be my toughest challenge. All I want to do sometimes is be someone else, but then I wouldn't be able to do all the things that make me me...
      Anyway. 😂
Claire and I spent a long time figuring out how we were going to sort through any disagreements. Believe me, it took a while! Lol
Speaking of taking a while... those 28 answers? 12 minutes to think of! Haha! I just snipped that bit out (me staring gormlessly at the computer screen) haha.
You're absolutely right. It does get better. I'm so glad I got to stick around.
      Stay amazing! You're such a unicorn! 😉🦄
