I own it. Had to order over seas because I couldn't find in Canada and most places in US were out of stock or I had to pay outrageous shipping. In the end I managed to snag it directly from Germany. I have to say I'm impressed. Sensitivity and frequency response are above par and I dare say this model will outperform units that are exponentially more expensive. The filters do what they're made to do and that is a big plus. I won't use the added feature for an independent sub as I have a separate amp for that and have since learned that there is an issue with over taxing the heat sinks on this model. I intend to pamper this piece of equipment as it is the best I've seen for the price in a long, long time. Good to see Germany is still living up to its reputation for fein werk bau.
If all components have ground lift turn all off EXCEPT POWER AMP and the rest would be maxed out levels on gains filters cuts and boosting eq levels up very high scale gain levels back to 0db and cut from middle of eq to shape sound without clipping/distortion and keep amp at half way max for 50% headroom for clean distortion free power if speakers can handle that power level contiously/safely and your system sound should be vastly improved hope that helps :-)
Actually that depends. Some amplifiers have built in digital EQs in them. If such is the case with you then the short answer is NO. The long answer is that it depends on what sort of home theater amp you are using. With a DENON integrated amp, for example, you will only be able to use it in stereo mode and many of the features will not be accessible on that amp as you will have to do some fancy bypassing in order to use all the features on the EQ. This EQ is best used in conjunction with a pre-amp/power amp combo. I hope this helps.
I bought one 3 months sgo and it´s been working since with my old Sony STR.4800 receiver and worls well, but needs some XLR good quality cables.@@dumpsterdiverspcreclamation

@@johnnysmile01 Yes it'll work with XLR/RCA cables too. As I stated earlier, it depends on the amp. This unit works fine with my NIKKO pre-amp.
