Oh man ! that’s another classic “The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool.” ― William Shakespeare, As You Like It GREAT VIDEO and good to get the details of the pods
Peak design for filming while hiking. You can carry your camera on your rucksack with the quick release system of PD and put it on the tripod which has the same connection without loosing time. Unfolding the PD on the field is also just a matter of seconds.
The Peak Design is limited when you rotate the camera 90 degrees because the head basically gets locked into one position. You can't pan or adjust the angle at all.
@@dylanjohndickerson When you rotate it into portrait orientation, the head basically gets locked into place. Unless I’m doing it wrong. And I wasn’t trying to criticize your video, just adding something I find annoying with the Peak Design
@@PhillipRPeck Ahhhh I see. If you're shooting vertical content, there's no way to pan. My mistake. Very interesting! Clearly I don't shoot vertical enough to notice that. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, Phillip 👊🏼
Wow...you're totally right. It's been a long week, but I'm amazed that I missed that. I was thinking I happened to misplace it when I got it 😅 thanks for providing some clarification! Because I have arca Swiss plates on my camera cages, I don't use the mount plate that it comes with though, so for me personally, it's not as handy. I'd have to keep the plate around.
Which one looks better for what you create?

Recently got the Ulanzi tt09 travel tripod absolutely love it. Can be a good alternative to these tripods
Very interesting! I'll have to check that one out. Thanks for the recommendation 👊🏼

Do you mean if you're trying to pan the ground?
