Lovely exploration of all the islands on Lough Key. I particularly like your coverage of kayaking under Drummans Bridge and Fairy Bridge: unforgettable. Thank you for sharing.
Ah thanks dude was happy with the adventure and film! Ya there’s 3 great ones to camp out pending what your into and which way the wind blows but I liked and will camp on church isd,
Which kayak are you using? I'm looking for a stable sit in kayak for a novice to accompany my sit on kayak. I know from watching your other videos that stability is very important to you! Fair play for venturing out in those conditions!
Yes á fabulous all round stable kayak for anyone little bigger in size or with sore knees or just people who can’t swim like myself but love kayaking! It’s called “pelican sprint 120 touring” have a look in i canoe they have one left and other open cockpit kayaks!
Sounds ideal. Are they quite slow on the open water, being so stable? I like the idea of a wider cockpit and then I can use a skirt if I get more confident that it's not likely to capsize@@jujujay
@@iansimpson8309 all depends on what you are looking for! I do fast session in it and moves smoothly along and in waves ! Top speed on windy days 15/17kph on a push! Holding pace would be 6/7kph but there not made for speed! BUT great in all weathers! But have to say amazing in wild windy waves and helps me stay in the boat!! Once you have a good paddle to move along nice and pack your kayak with good balance you’ll move nicely along!
That's great info, thankyou. Have you ever capsized it yet, or is it fairly hard to do unless out in ridiculous weather?! Basically I'm looking for something stable and comfortable to tour some of the main local rivers, so it's probably fast enough for that!@@jujujay
@@iansimpson8309 nope I like to stay in up top 😛 and I’ve been in some wild weathers and she’s amazing! Very hard kayak to roll dude! Less you want to fall out then it’s easy! Be careful as it can turn over like any kayak no matter the weather! I’ve fell out of it just trying to get into it once! But easier to get back in as for the bigger cockpit!
