'RUDDER SHAFT' that's the answer to your question at 10:44 at least according to my life long boating friend on the River Barrow, John Dimond from New Ross. but I guess you have it sorted out by now.
I have shied away from boats because someone with a boat once said to me that for every hour you spend on the boat in the water, you spend 7 hours working on it! You have to looove the water dude!
Haha 😂 yes I keep hearing that too! But as I only talked about today in my new film out soon - that’s even in a land home there’s always work too! It’s the same with the things we love if we look after them we have them longer - there’s many that don’t do anything to their boats and it shows! Hope your all good and not getting to much heat over there dude!
@@jujujay You are spot on there Jay. You know when you get your boat up and running and you can do all the rope knots with your eyes closed, you should make your way through the inland waterways down to Saint Mullins and check with John Dimond and boating friends before and after arrival, you'll never look back!
@@seamusbrennan6302 ah yes dude staying put for now as the water levels are up high - I’ll sit tight here in Carrick and work on a few things that I can! Deal with the winter 🥶 and all 1st!!
