There is an earlier social robot with impressive visual identification abilities and other skills, including using a human voice dialog bank full of stories that you might enjoy watching. They are available with male or female faces and voices. The Alan /Alaina Head robot is very useful for home and far less expensive than an Ameca or a Sophia. Check out "Samuel L Jackson voice speaking through my robot" by Will Huff on RUclips. On one of his first videos, two of the Alan's have some fairly hilarious silly conversations with each other. Something like I would imagine C-3PO would be after a few gin and tonics in him.
