I was just thinking of this concept a short while ago today! Question: If a human brain is implanted in a robot, which is equipped with artificial organs and all the necessary biological systems that allow the brain to live, is this a "person" at this point? What determines what a "person" is? But all the biology is used for that purpose, for the self/person. I had the very conversation 2 years ago with a lead scientist in this field. The biggest concern is what is referred to as
UES. (Ultimate eternal suffering).
Though much of this video is hypothetical nonsense, it is a real concern that in the future, say 150 years from now, the delicate operation of transfer may be possible. Scientists still refer to our various pre brain glandular systems as " The limbic system." They still have little idea on how these different regions function together.
What's more likely is an ai brain that is grown within a portable self sustained tank.
