I don't mean this as an insult; it's just an observation. I've noticed that people tend to only pay attention to the title or snippets of information without truly understanding or analyzing it. This is evident in situations such as watching a video about mac and cheese, and then seeing the comments flooded with people upset that it isn't dairy-free, when in fact the video was not intended for them as the target audience. It's frustrating that clickbait titles are necessary for engagement, but what's equally disheartening in my opinion is that people seem unable to watch and analyze a video thoroughly enough to understand its content. This is demonstrated by the publications that attempted to discuss Jon's video, but didn't actually comprehend it and instead relied solely on a speculative title.
As a consumer, i always saw fpt as a news channel. When I saw the title, I believed it and didnt bother watching the video because I thought it was going to be about the iphone 17 “air”, which I wasn’t interested in. But if I was, it would have been annoying to get clickbaited. And I can see how it couldve spread confusion. So Sam has a really good point.
