i rlly rlly like how u layered the ending of the sample. upping the octave and adding a crowd noise adds so much depth that i didn't even realize was missing
watching you throw those chords had me like "how tf he doing that" then you said i got something for you.. never clicked a link faster. Appreciate that bro!
The string technique it's not staccato, it's actually called pizzicato. Staccato is when you play the string with a very short attack, when you play the strings with your fingers is called pizzicato. I don't wanna sound rude or anything, the video was great. I just wanna let you know.
Thank you for this video. As an independent music artist, I thought about a problem, and that's clearing old school samples. So I thought why not recreate my own samples and use it however I want to, and this video basically summed up my thought lol, pretty dope!🔥
Much respect, but Marvin Gaye WAS NOT Sampled by Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z or Drake, He was Sampled by Their PRODUCERS! This is HipHop and we gotta get the verbiage correct. That way the producers get their props and future producers can study their work. Especially these days where Streams have taken over CD and Vinyl liner notes. Love the channel, peace! 💯 - LOGIKBOMB
Great vid brother! Love the progessions would love to now how you came up with them. For the chords on the first one though, wouldnt the Gm9 just be Gm7 and Cmaj7 be a Cmin7?
Gotta interject on those chord names. That isn't an A#dim, it's a Bb9. That Gm9 is actually a Gm7 with the 7th in octaves. And what you labelled a Cmaj9 is actually a Cm.
Fire bro 🔥🔥 I think if you added some type of grand piano to the chords to fill out that sound it would legit make for a crazy ass loop. Thank you for showing us this gen of a video.
when youre looking for a vocal from splice how do u make it on time with the project tempo??, i tried it but its so hard to fit it onto my project tempo any tips??
Time stretch. Every daw has this feature. If the bpm info on splice is incorrect, you can use the "tap tempo" button in your daw and tap it while listening to the sample to get the correct bpm. Once you have the correct tempo, timestretch it and line it up. If you're having trouble figuring out where to place the start of the vocal sample, you're gonna have to really listen closely and figure out the rhythm of the vocals for where the downbeat is. Or you could just make your life easier and download Serato Sample.
I’m tryna know how to make some synthwave songs like simple joints I’m actually getting BETTER ! Just tryna see if people know of any other ways to get lit of that synthwave sound. But I still need it to be like a Travis Scott ish synthwave sound not a semi cheesy joint not a The Weeknd joint. Like a deep synth bass or acoustic bass joint and some cool synth melody but simple af where a vocalist is shitting on everyone’s song because he or she or they or them or plem is just intuitively attached to it. I’m thinking of like 160-180bpm or 60-80bpm. Been practicing on my jdxi, I have a fucked up laptop rn I’m mostly tryna be a vocalist though and I got hearing loss rn whoever tryna make some heat MAKE SOME HEAT IM TRYNA HEAR MASTERPIECE SONGS OR NEW NEW VIBES WHERE THE NEW ARTISTS AT WHERE THEY AT anyone know how to reverse hearing loss or how to keep your ears healthy and also your sinuses????? I got ear-fullness and tinnitus:(((((((((((((((((( Whoever got a cure for tinnitus hit my fuckin line and whoever makes saucy fucking beats hmu.

Dope video bro! Just something to note though is that on the first song that was a glockenspiel not a vibraphone. Great video either way!

Thanks man! Splice search engine isn’t the best so it’s hard to find stuff unfortunately
Crazy bro, where did u get the sounds bro?
A few different vsts & banks bro. Played the guitar by hand but the vibraphone for example is a kontakt bank
”A sharp dim” is a Bb7Add9

Vital series - mallets kontakt bank 🙏🏻

when youre looking for a vocal from splice how do u make it on time with the project tempo??, i tried it but its so hard to fit it onto my project tempo any tips??
In fl studio, if u double click on the audio file & then pull the time knob up until it snaps into time

Neither of those two songs came out in the 1970s. 🤔
i didn't get what you explain at 5:47...
He lowered the pitch by 4 semitones. Then he added a tape saturation plugin to make it sound old.
Discord server rip?
Yeah bro new one coming soon!!
The crazy texture trick wasn’t very clear, confused 🥴
Basically I bounced the master of the whole sample with some fx on it and layered it in the background

Has been sampled by Drake? since when does Drake do anything involving a software or a sampler?
