I used to follow your guide for dark angels (using contrast dark angels, warplighting, moor green and an pale yellow, I used dorn yellow) now I am 5000pts into the army and several side armies with it I get a new guide that goes along with the new paints I bought recently from a pack sold by a really cool RUclips channel.
Two ways: either glaze with a tinned down version of your highlight color 2: mix more in between colors, so do mixes with smaller transition of tones and add more layers.

Love your OSL techniques, it really does look like the model is being lit by fire or lava etc.
