  • I've been looking at these for a while with some skepticism, and finally decided to answer my own questions. I wasn't sure which style to buy, so I picked up one of each for a comparison. In this video I open the box, give my first impressions, try them both on, and then follow up after spending a little time wearing each one.
I made a follow-up to this video showing how to improve both of these masks for a better fit and seal. • Four simple ways to mo...

I have the M2 mask, and I love it, VERY comfortable. I affix the strap up a bit on my head and the nose form doesn't pull down on my bridge at all. This is the most comfortable mask I ever owned. easy to put on and comfortable to wear for extended periods. I don't know why people say they are uncomfortable. Soft, fits great. Fast on, fast off and comfy, so there is NO excuse NOT to wear it.I LOVE my M2

I have been wearing these masks for 2 years. And I love them! I wear a medium & so happy that these masks have extension strap for the straps!

    Thanks for the review !!!
Just for basic grass mowing both these units seem to be a No Go & helped me from making a purchasing decision nightmare.

I’ve worn the M2 for about 3 years now. I’ve only gone through about 6 filters, as I only use this on my weekend warrior days. I definitely like it a lot more than the N95 mask, but like you, I feel it pulls down on my nose. I adjust this the same as you’ve mentioned. I need to buy some more filters and I have been considering purchasing the M2.5 and keeping my current M2 in my truck. Thank you for the great review! You confirmed exactly what I was hoping about the M2.5.

@@TheSnekkerShow I wear the extra large as well. I made the mistake of buying the large, due to my weight being just under the xl, and had to exchange it because I tore the mesh. The owner of RZ mask contacted me via email and helped me with a free exchange. RZ Mask really stand behind their product!

@@jamaxit Good to hear. I guessed on the opposite end of the large for my wife, so now I'm waiting for a medium to arrive. I think they need more pictures of actual people in their sizing chart.

I want to thank you, I saw your video before I made my purchase and I REALLY appreciate the time you took to show what the RZ M2 and M2.5 looked like and how they fit. I didn't like the way they fit on the face, looks really uncomfortable if wearing for longer periods of time. You are appreciated☮! Thanks again.

Glad it was useful. I have another video showing how to modify those masks so they're more comfortable, but if you find something that feels right from the start, that's the way to go.

When I cut rock with a gas powered saw I wear a helmet which has my ear pro attached and a visor. The M2 mask is great for the brief times I need a mask for brief periods. If I need a mask long term I use a 3m silicone mask with appropriate filters. Nice review!

Would love to see a comment for those of us that wear glasses for corrective vision. RZ mask does not look glasses friendly as far as room for the glasses......Any comments on this?

Worth noting regarding COVID, RZ does now sell caps you can replace the valves with. That way the air has to go through the filter both directions.
Also, I agree with the M2 pulling down on the nose.

Good point on the caps. I had some in the box, but forgot to mention what they were for.

The M2, I own, seems to be more of if your looking down alot... If I look up then it squeeze's my nose and its hard to breath. The flap on the 2.5 is there so the straps dont rub against your skin.

I know this video is a little old, but have you considered trying to use elastic strap and sew it onto the M2 yourself to keep it up?
This way you could place the upper strap in which ever place works best for you.
Then you would have the benefit of the Quick Velcro strap and the ability to hold it up in place without falling.
Have you had any ideas on how to use for COVID (to protect others)?
I like the fit of which prevents the sweat saturation and ability to talk well while wearing it, but am concerned about not being able to protect others if I became sick and did not know it.

I just uploaded this a month ago, so it's still pretty new. I'm working on an update this weekend to show how to improve the fit, with step by step instructions. They sell valve caps that can replace the valves. I had a set in my order, but forgot to explain their purpose in this video.

Safety glass on , what would happen to M2.5?

    • @TheSnekkerShow
      @TheSnekkerShow  2 года назад +1

The glasses would probably fog, but I have another video showing how to improve the design. Speaking for myself, I can almost never wear any mask and safety glasses at the same time. If the mask is up high enough to be comfortable, it pushes the safety glasses up. If the safety glass are low enough to be comfortable, it pushes the mask down and breaks the nose seal.

I’ve got the 2.0, not the most comfortable after a long day wearing it. Pulls down on the nose like you say and to keep it from slipping down I tried making it tighter on the Velcro but just pulls on the neck too much. 2.5 looks like a better alternative but I think they could have made the straps further apart for sure
