Duplex printing and duplex scanning from the document feeder is a MUST for any small business / office. Aftermarket toner for brother can do 7000+ pages when set to medium quality for about $40-$45, we've been using it since 2005. Also, one aspect that you didn't touch on AT ALL is serviceability. I've fixed Brother printers many times, parts are widely available and are cheap - good luck doing that with ANYTHING HP!

At my previous job I used an older Brother MFC that uses the same toner. I used it daily for printing, copying, and faxing but only rarely scanning. While the HP Neverstop’s large toner capacity and cheap toner are a huge draw it would not work for my office. We made copies of multiple page documents all day so having a feeder tray is a must. We still have a send and receive faxes daily so it’s also a must. Lastly it’s much quicker and easier to use the MFC with the full rubber button layout than the MFC with small color touch screen and touch capacitive panel.

  • @matttypes2695
    @matttypes2695 3 года назад +17

Brother printers have drum units which are responsible for fusing the toner to the page while HP and Canon (among others) toner cartridges have an all-in-one approach that have the cylinders built in.
That said, I’m assuming those hp cartridges for the neverstop don’t have the cylinders inside them so how do you replace it when it inevitably goes bad?

The never stop printers do not have a user-replaceable drum, and the drums are not even available for sale to consumers. An HP technician / service centre would do that work. That said, the drums on Neverstop printers supposedly last for 50,000 pages vs 12,000 for Brother. But labour & material to change HP drum would greatly Brother cost: part is readily available to and changeable by consumer.

Misleading review that is ignoring the current situation around HP Neverstop 1200 line. All the reviewers seem to adopt HP's tech specs and publishing their reviews without veryfing the most important product details. Unfortunately, the consumers had to call out all the flaws of this product. I will not comment on its connection problems, out of paper error fault, bad print quality and go to the core - the print economy. Even with 5% page coverage (according to HP statement) you will NEVER be able to achieve 2500 pages per refill (or 5000 at full tank). In fact, you will struggle to get to 1200. HP tries to convince the consumers that their new firmware solves this but it only does so at the expense of print quality which was below average already. The reviewers should prevent people from buying bad products.

I need a home printer (monochrome) that doesn't lock me out when it thinks my ink is gone! I have an Epson WF-3620, and it locks me out while it still seems to be printing black and white just fine. I want it to scan, copy, and print--haven't figured out how to use the fax capability--I'm not that tech-savvy. I like the Neverstop toner cartridge feature but I probably don't print even 200 pages per month. My current all-in-one is about 10 inches high (in an armoire under my keyboard--so I do some crawling on the floor), so it's inconvenient to have the Neverstop style (lift a lid to place the paper on the glass). Feeding on top is what I need. The 10-inch height is good but it could go up to 12 inches or so. Do you have a recommendation?

weak arguments for the hp. A printer should make your work easier and the contractual partner (the company) has to be trustworthy and reliable. These are the points that are important:
    1. Ease of work (through speed)
    2. Inexpensive (also in the long term)
    • ~ $ 92.49 ÷ 3000 pages = approximately 0.03 cents per page. So how much paper do I actually use each month ?! So the toners are inexpensive.
    • In the case of repairs, the spare parts should also be inexpensive.
    3. Brother is customer-friendly through solid repair service, customer service and so on.
Brother simply has the best printer.

BIASED. WHEN BRO PRINTER IS CHEAPER YOU SAY "IT'S ONLY ABOUT 100 LESS THAN HP" 😂😂😂. 100 CHEAPER IS 100 CHEAPER, NOT "ONLY ABOUT"

Thanks for your comparison review. I've been using Brother for over 10 years but I'm certainly interested in this new HP printer. I wish Brother created this new concept first but it might be time to make the change. Will it print multiple documents per page?

Do not fall for it. Stick to Brother. HP printers are terrible and will enrage you.

All due respect, I have printed 60,000 pages on my brother mfc printer, I use aftermarket toner cartridges or toner refills. When the printer recently started paper jamming, I just ordered new front and rear rollers on ali express for less than $15. It looks easy to disassemble. No experience with HP but I am a big fan of brother printers

There is no comparison, Brother b&w printers are cheaper to print with 3rd party toner. You can also refill toner on most cartridges and do resets... just DON'T update the firmware, ever!

He forgot to mention that HP software is complete garbage! I've owned over 50 printers a good many of them have been HP and the software always craps out eventually. Brother makes the best all around printer.

I got a Brother ..my cartridges cost me 12$ for 1200 pages ...if i buy a 10 pack cartridge it comes down to 7 $ per cartridge for 1200 pages
Brother is easier to fix when broken
You are an HP shill so i don't get why you even tried comparing when you had a bias to begin with

Using a phone app to set up a printer for small business? Way over engineered. Far easier to to use the printer's interface and software on the pc itself where your documents are stored.

Biased review cux every HP laser printer, their toner is more than 200bucks but epson has better quality and prices. HP is just slapping u in your pocket. Epson has monochrone with more than 3k pages. Your video is biased.
