- I found out about this book signing just one week ago, and there was no way in hell I was going to miss meeting my favorite WWE Superstar ever. Only thing I regret is that I did ask the lady to my right to record me as I talked to Shawn. Oh well, he was very nice to say the least.

I met and got an autograph from HBK somewhere in the 90s. I believe it was during 1996. I remember the line being long and I was 11 years old or so. I was so nervous and wanted to ask him something but was just happy to meet him and get an autograph. Still have it to this day.
Was he nice? He was well known for being an asshole back then.
"Hold on please"
""Mr. Hickenbottom is very busy, please move on."
I met HBK once...We were instructed by security to NOT speak to him. He acted like he just Hated seeing people. A real piece of Sh!t
Was it a young Shawn Michaels?
@@alexquinonez8443...Nah it was back in the early 2000's, after his FIRST retirement
People have bad days chill there are millions of people that meet him he can't always entertain all of them equally
As much as I love art I never ever would want the public life attached with it.
Because most 'fans' are the real piece of shit!! Don't know how to behave. That's why on scheduled MnG are quite strict rules, most ppl don't understand when first exposed to... but due to entertainment history are absolute necessary!
I managed to meet Beyoncé and Alicia Keys throughout 2000s several times. Other 'fans/ppl' around mostly were so rude and entitled, asking personal stuff that is none of their business, claiming autographs, selfies, if they could have this and get that. All while screaming and crying. 😏
With each meeting I could get to stay a little longer with intriguing real talk; treating them with respect, not wanting anything like a lil brat. On their terms.
Michael Jackson was unmeetable for the hundreds of flock that build up anywhere everywhere out of nowhere making a circus scene. I despised these fame-seeking clowns ruining any normality for him. I would have isolated from common steerage on the streets as well. Tiny starlets with no bodyguards I seen girls cling onto not wanting to let go... way past their minute.
Nevermind Shawn's time early 2000, when many ppl still loaded their hate upon him as a longtime heel. Unable to seperate Hollyweird Entertainment Script from Real Life! You really think he wanna have long discussions about this and that on WWF (Politics, Pets,...) to complete strangers... just read the comment section of fan weirdos taking TV way to serious! How badly you are willing to talk to strangers forcingly chatting you up from the side?!?? Total cringe!
BE grateful he is even giving HIS REAL FANS opportunities like that - they do appreciate!
Others (fans of a thousand stars just living nearby) are just over entitled to get into a stars pants / private life! That's the main motivation, to brag with the photo/autograph - not because your spirits kliq!
You do hear him talk when not bombarded, formal nice small talk, in and out. That's what it is or else you yourself had waited 10 hours with a hundred ppl in front of you. He can't please half a million to go with him on dinner, vacation or seeing their adoring bedroom decoration on him! That's what it'll go down to, if you start giving them a finger they want the entire arm. Even Book-Signings are designed business many ppl wrecked their head; developed to 'work' - for a unknown crowd!
@@brianwilliams8583Sounds like you met him in '96 or '97.
Hey I loved the fact you got a shot of your hand and everything (even the adjoining shop front upsidedown) but him 👌
😂😆🤣
Nice to see he seemed quite respectful and friendly to the fans.
Unlike mjf
GOD DAMMIT we’ve got a BABYFACE on our hands!!!!
Keep in mind this was at a Post/Base exchange on a Military base. Probably would not have been a good choice to display any type of disrespect. I'm sure AAFES (Army & Airforce Exchange) would have no problem canceling any other book signing deals they had with him.
Good thing you didn't meet him in '96 or '97.
Shawn A true legend the greatest!!!!
He said to the first guy, thank you sir. Shows he's a genuine humble dudem
Yeah but if you met him in '96 or '97....
I read the book and I actually enjoyed it.
Ok I'm officially jealous...
Is he nice? I hope he is cause he's been my favourite wrestler for as long as I can remember I'd love to meet him
Yeah, from what I remember he was very nice. Wanted to get a picture on my camera and i had to fiddle with it for a few seconds and he was patient with me. Got a real good photo. I'll never forget this day!
@@DakkTribalIf you met him in '96 or '97, you would've been very disappointed.
Was that close to HBK in 1995 MSG!
Shawn's such a great performer that people think he's actually the guy from DX 1997 24 hours a day. And no I don't take other wrestlers' words on what kind of guy he is. Bitter, old, two-faced wrestlers and wrestling business lifers rip anybody that climbed higher than they did and he climbed higher than almost anyone.
Everyone from Jim Ross to hbk himself admits he was an asshole his own friends admitted it so stop fanboying
shawn seems like the type of guy that wouldn't do autographs but then again he's now a christian.
*Protestant
@@nupatriarch1681 its the same
@@andujarbrito8584 Christianity falls into 2 main branches, Catholicism and Protestantism, with many different factions within. It's kind of like the 2 main branches of Islam, Sunnis and Shias.
I HATE MY BROTHER MY BROTHER MEET HBK
I have tromendous respect for you Shawn Michaels by Steve Irungu Jermaine
Dude got his ass beat and Davey boy and xpac hid in the dark
What happened at the end? Did Shaun give you that FAMOUS cheese I’ve heard off? Like the banana cheese. Who was the woman?
We took a picture together and shook his hand. I was feeling electric
i was there
my fucking brother was there too my fucking brother is lucky he fucking met the legendary hbk
I think your being a little tough on your brother. Lay off the Xanax.
@@ActiveRehabMobility you should look up what Xanax is used for pal.
So you purchase a book he signs it.....great!!! Overseas the WWE brought wrestlers into the base and they signed autographs for FREE. The only autograph in the business worth anything is Andre's. Of course, you had to get in the early 1970s, he wouldn't do autographs in the 80s or 90s. He would only hold a liquor bottle by then.
That's how book signings work for the specific occasion, smartie! 🤦♀️
Anyone can access lining up early enough.
To compare with unspecific common Military Honors PR, a civilian fan can't access. On a larger scale for WWF/NFL/e.g.
To compare with deceased bigger Wrestling Names. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
In 1992 I wouldn't have been interested in this fat, old, ugly Giant autograph... I would have swirled around Hottest Thing in Town, Young God Face Shawn Michaels!
