Hey Olga! Hope you’re doing well. Maybe i need to make a cake for a 3yr old and was thinking about your cakes. Specifically for the frosting. I was on your youtube channel browsing and saw you carrot cake. It has a cashew frosting. How does this frosting hold? Is it firm?? Does it melt?
This is a very stable cashew cream frosting because I use a lot of cacao butter there (and it has a higher melting point than coconut oil), and I use powdered erythritol, which makes it even more stable compared with the maple syrup recipe. I used this recipe to frost wedding cakes very often. So, I can recommend it as a stable frosting (but, of course, not at 30C).

@@MyPlantCake aaah perfect! One more question if you don’t mind. Is the texture like that of buttercream with butter and sugar? I need to make a dinosaur cake and they want fondant dinosaurs. I want to “glue” the dinosaurs on the side of the cake. Would they stick and not slide down?
@@Sunnycaribbeanvegan yes, the texture is like buttercream with butter and sugar (but without dairy and white sugar))). I do not know the size of your dinosaurs. You can always insert a toothpick inside the cake to hold the decoration. But again, depending on the size of the decoration and its weight, it can stay on the cake side. I do not work with fondant, but as I know, it's not the best idea to stick fondant to watery textures like buttercream. Fondants start "crying." Just check this moment.
Hi, Olga! Many thanks for sharing this recipe and congratulations for your beautiful work. I just want to ask about tapioca if is really flour or starch. In Romania (where I'm living) what you show in the video looks more like tapioca starch as the flour is more sandy. Many many thanks in advance!

You can make any substitutions that you want. It will be your recipe. Coconut oil melts in room temp, so you cake and your frosting will not be stable. And I can't predict a result. I give you the recipe that I use for selling my cakes in my store. Use iHerb.com website to purschase cacao butter. They ship everywhere
I am afraid that it will not work. Flaxseeds are dry ingredients and eggs give more liquid. The recipe should be fully adjusted. And I am sorry, I've never tried it with eggs. But I can guarantee that you will love this cake with flaxseeds even if you're not a vegan. I sold so many such cakes to different families including not vegans. It's always a hit on the table :)

This cake looks so great and tasty but I have some questions to make it the best as I can if you canhelp please.. Regarding the mold I can use a Springform pan but it has to be which height? Do I’have to choose one 10cm high or 6-7 cm like you but need some "rodoid band"? If I have a 9 inch how can adapt quantities? About Coconut Oil I know unrefined is more pure and natural but if someone doesn't like too much coconut taste we feel the flavor with it or I have to go with refined one? I just have a 900w Nutribullet blender so it may be hard to mix well high Cashews quantity? Many thanks in advance for your help! 🙂

@@happyeat6937 it's a carrot cake :) And carrots are the main ingredients. If you don't like them, please use any other my recipe - vanilla cake, a lot of chocolate cakes, green spinach strawberry cake. You can't just remove the main ingredients of the cake and get the same result :)

@@ricardocabral213 I don’t use store bought white vegan butter because it is filled with white sugar, soy and/or palm oils, and other not a whole food ingredients + tons of emulsifiers. I make everything from scratch. Cacao butter is the most clean ingredient ever. If you want to make any changes in my recipes, please, you can do it. It will be your experiment and the result will be definitely different.
