I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to see Mandy Moore (Lana Thomas) come back. I've been a fan of hers since I was 3. My older sister listened to her music every time she came back from school and I started to love it too. And as much as I love watching her on "This is Us", it would be cool to see her return to her Disney roots. But if she doesn't come back, I'll watch the movie anyway because "The Princess Diaries" 1 & 2 were my fav movies as a little girl and they still are.

I’d like her to still be with chris pines character , and for her to be expecting a child. And it follow that journey and touch more on her dad at her age. Other then that I hope all the original cast return. I hope the script lives up to the first two movies. Keep it feeling that vibe and not “too” current. If that makes sense? I’m so excited. Idc if I’m 29, I’m excited. 😅
Haha I’m 29 too and I totally agree on it keeping the same vibe as the first movies and not too modern. Sometimes sequels done later have a way of losing the original vibe

They should listen to fans more often. I feel like now a days they try to reboot and produce sequels for everything, in hopes of making more money and success. You have to give the people time and space to miss shows/characters. Alot of the times the classics should be left alone,instead of putting it in live action and not pulling it off very well. when they do that it destroys their legacy.
I think a part three after all this time is a good idea, though i am a bit hesitant, it will be interesting to see how the characters have further evolved, if mia maybe got pregnant or already has a child,did she end up marrying the prince or perhaps continue her rule as a monarch solo.Mia is relatable, down to earth and chooses to forge her own path which to me has always been inspiring in its own way. I will be looking forward to seeing what they have to show us.

What I want in PD3:
Joe and Clarisse happily married, Mia calling Joe: King Joe. Mia's mom being the royal painter of Genovia. Fat Louie being the royal family mascot. Lana's rich attitude being knocked down a few pegs by her parents money running out forcing her to take on a minimum wage job and struggling. Princess Mia happily married with a child or adopting a child (like Odette and Derek did in swan princess)

OMG OMG!!!!!!, My life would ve completed with a third movie
Omg, if this is 100% confirmed, I hope they bring back Michael's character, he was supposed to be in the 2nd movie, it just happened the actor who played the character was busy and already on tour that time, so in the movie they put Michael was busy on tour with his band, Michael was Mia's real endgame, they got married in the book, the last book, and that book was one of my fave of all Princess Diaries series, like people were like pressuring Michael when to propose to Mia or what was taking it too long, if Michael would give up his life as a commoner and live his life as a prince, they can still bring back Michael's character of course just like in the book, he went abroad, broke up with Mia, remained friends, but when he came back they knew they were still in love and meant for each other, I was even thinking if Nicholas was a new version of JP? their backgrounds maybe are different, but how him and Mia made a perfect couple, their visuals, personality. Just like JP and Mia were in the book, but it was always been Michael for Mia, she was inlove with JP as what she has always been writing on her diary, but when Michael came back, it was just how she thought. And I heard Robert was also considering the possibility of reprising his character as Michael in the 3rd movie. I love Chris Pine of course, he's one of my hollywood crush, but I cant just let them make Michael's character vanished just like that, he was one of the main character. The main love interest, I'm sorry to Team Nicholas, I just love Michael's character from the book, if you dont like the actor, if it would be possible having another actor to play as Michael, just dont make Michael disappear. And hope it'd give justice to Meg Cabot's original plot. But I love Chris Pine of course, him and Anne are visually compatible 💙
True! I just love the ending of the book where she ends up with Michael. It's sweet and pure. However, I just found out that they finished the script and it's actually a spin-off. It's not definite if the original cast will all be included. The main character is actually not Mia but they are introducing a new character -another child of the late prince. So basically Mia's half sister. I think they want to keep the light teenage feel of the movie which in my opinion is a letdown. Like, it's my favorite childhood movie and they're possibly doing it dirty like spongebob.

The author of the Princess Diaries books also wrote another series called Diaries of a Middle School Princess featuring the same characters of the Princess Diaries so I think the girl from the Middle School Princess series will be the new princess.
