I've always loved watching the two of them host the show and be funny, entertaining and I can't wait to see it come on again, it's not been on for months, it's one of the best shows on TV to watch nightly. He had to move on with his life, understandably, and hopefully Vanna comes back, if she wishes and the show will go on again, great as ever.
God Bless Pat! I was totally unaware of his affiliation with Hillsdale College. That has got to be so rewarding for him. I never followed his personal life but I am a Christian and this is making me feel relieved. His background will allow him to use his influence to be a powerful soldier for Christ globally. People of this caliber are very much needed globally now.

Wish him the best. I wish they would have given Vanna the opportunity to be a hostess. They are so good together. Hard to understand why no increase in her salary. Also, why is her salary so much less?
To be brutally blunt, Vanna likely hasn't seen an increase in pay because she ceased being neccessary to the show in the digital age. It's been decades since she had to actually turn letters, and a long time since she had to even touch them. Vanna is there because she has always been there. The optics of firing her because technology made her obsolete would be very bad. But the bean counters likely view her job as a charity on their part. I wouldn't be surprised if Pat insits she stay on.
Vanna definitely proved her value when Pat was hospitalized and she took over hosting duties temporarily.. She deserves a raise for her loyalty and dedication to the show. When she does eventually retire, I'm not sure if she'll be replaced or not.

I agree, I do NOT think Whoopi Goldberg would be the right fit for Wheel of Fortune. I would say the BEST 2 people would be....... either Vanna White (and then Pat Sajak's daughter doing the letters), or Sajak's daughter being the host. No one else could take the place of Pat Sajak, then those two ladies (Vanna, or Pat Sajak's daughter). Although, I do not think Ryan Seacrest would be that bad of a host, that would be my third chose (Ryan Seacreast would be good addition for the host) for Pat Sajak's spot. Chuck Woolery hosted Wheel Of Fortune first didn't he ? Pat Sajak hosted this for many years stop the criticisms. I have love the show for years i love his humor for pete sake he's retiring. Give Ryan Seacrest a chance & welcome. Pat Sajak very well done. ❤

Didn't know anything about his early career. The real reason for the retirements is because they're tired! They've wanted to retire for decades, but were begged to stay and paid stupid money to do it.
Pat Sajak and Vanna White were 2 beautiful people inside and out and that show The Wheel Of Fortune will never be the same without them, its going to be very hard for someone to fiil their shoes...so they better use great discernment when looking for replacement,because the wrong choice can cause it to fold !!

I think ryan may be a fun change. Give him a chance?.. It's difficult to replace a long standing host like Pat, but he knows what his priorities may be.. We know he taped a whole week of shows in one day, allowing personal time 6 days a week. so the actual reason we have yet to learn..He had plenty of personal time. I'm hoping his reason is not due to a physical problem, or a family problem,.. I wish him luck, as he will still work as an advisor behind the scene for 3 years, it is an enigma.. Let's hope we won't need to change hosts more than once and that Seacrest does an amazing job, as

Sorry to see Pat go but 40 years he has been so much fun to watch let him go. I love that Bryan Seacrest will be stepping in. Vanna needs to prep for her exit as she probably won't be seeing another 40 with the show. Love the last 40 and was never disappointed.

Fun fact- when he was in Vietnam he replaced Adrian Cronaur (who was played by Robin Willians in Good Morning Vietnam) after he left the country.
I love wheel of fortune and Pat and Vanna. I would like to see Vanna supported. I would not like to see Whoopie or anyone who pushes issues that go against family values. We have had 5 generations of people watching together and the intellectual challenge of trying to solve puzzles, stretches the mind and is fun family activity. Now that I am older. I still enjoy Wheel of Fortune!
