I will miss Pat because the show was on at 7 PM every night in my home and now I'm in my golden years retired. Will still watch it as long as I can. Vanna also I love her on the show . my best wishes to you Pat I think you will always be remembered as the big wheel. Love Marilyn Rinaldi
I am really going to miss Pat Sajak. He was in my home many nights in my 45 years of life. Thank you for your service and to entertain America for over 40 years. You are amazing.
You want the reason for his retirement? He's 77 years old and has been hosting the show for 41 years. He wants to retire. Thats it. Thats all we need to know.
Always a gentleman and consummate host... the best of the very best and in my opinion irreplaceable. I can only hope Ryan Seacrist will be able host the show and carry on the tradition begun by Pat. Happy Retirement Pat Sajak you certainly deserve it!
No offense to loyal viewers BUT face it everyone is entitled to retirement, not everyone gets to choose this time, best wishes for a healthy retirement🎉
Always a gentleman and an incredibly talented host...in my opinion the best of the best and is irreplaceable. I can only hope that Ryan Seacrist will succeed in hosting the show .
I retired at 60 years old a few years ago. High stress responsibilities. Lots of hours. Wishing Sajak the best, and he is no doubt grateful for his well-earned long standing career.
Welcome home brother. I left Saigon in 1965 and listened to Adrian Cronauer. Sorry I never heard your show. However, my wife and I have enjoyed Wheel from your beginning there and watched your last show. I am so happy you have new goals and wish you the very best. Robert 😎🌵
Pat Sajak ~ YOU were the Best !! ~ Myself and your multitudes of Fans will surely Miss You. God Bless you and may you have many Beautiful retirement years ahead of You. ~ Gid Bless You.
Met Pat Sajak some years ago while in Los Angeles to see a Kings hockey game. They were playing the St Louis Blues. Gretzky was on the team then. I got up to go to the lobby, and he was standing in the exit way to get there. I spoke to him with the usual comments. I wish I could remember the year. Gretzky retired some 20 + years ago so it was quite a few years. My wife and I had travelled from Las Vegas to see Gretzy play that night. We are from Brantford Canada (Gretzky's home town) and I'll add our son played with him for a few young years of his career. School mates. It was a treat to meet Pat Sajak.
My wife and I will miss you pat. I wanted to meet you and participate in the show but unfortunately my health wouldn’t let. Enjoy your retirement you deserve it. All the best Glenn and Lou W
It's interesting that Pat grew up with Jack Parr, as it was his Tonight show successor, Johnny Carson, who also had a well-publicized retirement after such a long run that defined a late night institution on NBC (and the first 7 1/2 years of Pat's tenure at Wheel were produced in the same building as The Tonight Show). Jay Leno was a decent replacement, but the later hosts just don't compare. Bob Barker's retirement is the only other big comparison to Sajak.
One of the reasons I watched every night was Pat did not allow silliness....screaming, falling on the ground, etc......grace and dignity throughout the whole show! I''ll miss him awful!!!
I retired at the age of 82 years. When work makes your life happy and your work brings lots of help needed very much any retirement at any advanced age is a blessing you enjoyed. To continue to work as long as you can is a joy and be grateful to God to give you that opportunity. I am 88 years old now and enjoying health and happiness for which I am grateful to people who gave me this opportunity. Mr. Sajak worked hard and for long time for bringing us very unique entertainment where enjoyment and intelligence walk hand in hand. We must not forget Vanna White for her charm, million dollar smile and generosity to give away that big amount of money !!!!
Thank you for you service in the military and for keeping us entertained with your gane show. Now it is your turn to be entertained enjoy your retirement and have fun.Wishing you the best.
The state of late night talk shows is bad. I remember Pat's show and it was excellent and well worth bringing back. I hope he does this if he gets tired of sitting at home!
@@lizvigario7686 Then he should say it the same consistency. He alternates between the two... pick a pony and ride with it. Or maybe this is just AI generated content and it is having a hard time.
"Pat Sajak Reveas the SAD reason for his Retirement"? His reason was because he wanted to spend more time with his family. That is a SAD reason? It is amazing how deceptive you can be to get others to listen! ! Tis is called "BAIT & SWITCH"
I have watched Pat ever since he was a weatherman in LA. Anyone else remember that? All my best wishes for a wonderful retirement Pat and family! You would think that after 41 years of hearing Pat's last name pronounced on Wheel of Fortune this narrator could have pronounced it the same way........??
We love Pat and Vanna. So glad he's going to get to retire, but we will surely miss him. Hope Vanna stays for awhile. It would be hard to replace her.🎉
I support Ryan Seacrest!! I remember him on the radio years ago! playing the Matchbox20 song over and over and Rob calling into the show!! I'm glad to see him do good!
I agree with DXKRAMER!!! Why do people have to add these untrue titles to videos. This man telling this video story is driving me crazy the way he says "Sajak"!!!!
When he is replaced, it should be with another male host. If female becomes the host, I think the show will slowly loose it following. I do not watch too much, but show is entertaining. I do hope whoever becomes new host, the show will continue to be successful. 😮
Tell us you’re using an AI voiceover without telling us you’re using an AI voiceover…😆 But, in all seriousness, the show won’t be the same without him. Happy retirement, Pat!
As much as we love Pat, it was time for him to retire. I could see it on his face during some episodes. Sometimes he seemed to struggle hiding his irritation. He was over it, and I don’t blame him. Even though he worked less than a month out of the year! I loved growing up with Wheel of Fortune. And as Pat said in his farewell speech, it wasn’t only a game show, it became much more. Thanks for the memories, Pat

Thanks to Pat for his many years as host. I never missed an episode. Ryan will have to work much harder to come even close to becoming a great host like Pat. Vanna would be a much better host than Ryan, & he could go back to his type of shows where it is all about him.

I missed a lot of early morning college classes because I couldn't turn off Jack Parr, the GREATEST talk show host/interviewer of all time!

41 years, and you say his name wrongly? Thank you Pat and Vanna.
He didn’t say his name wrong. Pat took the i out of his name. Which is the correct spelling in the Polish language
His birth name is Sajdak. The pronunciation is actually correct. Many people shorten or change their names for TV jobs.
... Never knew that ... but tv can do wild things ...
@@lizvigario7686 Then he should say it the same consistency. He alternates between the two... pick a pony and ride with it. Or maybe this is just AI generated content and it is having a hard time.

I will miss Pat. He was a very good host.

Yep... Welcome to the future... or the present 😥😥
