I grew up in Pdx. Socialist commies have destroyed a once great city. Residents are too ignorant to understand cause and effect. They will vote Fabian Socialist and then cry about the consequences.

Groing up we had a little two lane long country road we would do some drag racing on Saturday nights. The Sherrif would come keep an eye to make sure nothing got out of hand and it worked well . The police had a good relationship with police while still having the feeling of getting away with something living on edge a bit .... Now the modern kids are just nannied at every turn so when they let loose it's going to be big.

Why not simply allow these street-driver-artists to have a place (like a vacant parking lot of a closed big-box store) to do their thing. Set up portable bleachers and get some food vendors out there. 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place trophies can be awarded for the drivers, Fence off the parking lot, charge $20 admission and let the city make some money. We have a diverse community and welcome people with many talents. We could also get a sponsor like Big "O" Tires or Winchell's Donuts. Heck, we already have a drag strip at the International Raceway. There's screeching tires, food, music - What's the difference?
It's on the streets that we pay tax dollars to up keep.the fact that youre calling them artists says everything about your mindset.
