      People that shop at these places more or less arent actually paying for groceries themselves. Usually have a husband/sugar daddy cause all you see is WOMEN in the stores. Any sane man would go to dollar store & be happy with a microwaveable T.V. dinner. Ain't no shame going back to ol' college days with cup ramen & t.v. dinner!

      Sure, because a lot of people only shop for specialty items there that they can't get at their neighborhood supermarket. Or they don't live the kind of lifestyle where they buy a lot of groceries, so they just pick up a few things here and there.

    While whole paycheck is and always has been overpriced but the actual real problem is the food at any store isn’t really more expensive. The problem is that dollar bill in your pocket is really only worth about 25 cents now. That’s how everyone needs to really look at the current situation to grasp just how bad this situation is we are in right now.

    I imagine these stores have to be tossing out and wasting a lot of food. There's no way they're selling all that cheese at $31 a pound. It reminds me of shoe stores like Adidas. They will destroy any shoes that go unsold instead of lowering the price/donating them. That would hurt their luxury representation and all their artificially inflated prices. There's no reason, even in this crazy economy, that cheese needs to cost $31 per pound.

    I have been shopping at Wholefoods for years and I am not rich by any means. You just have to know what to buy and what you can buy else where. I mostly buy in bulk and buy Wholefoods' store brand items which are cheaper and are of good quality (their peanut butter is to die for). I stay away from specialty items and if I do need a specialty item, I buy on sale or elsewhere I know has the same item for cheaper. Fruits and vegetables, I tend to shop at other stores because you will spend more at Wholefoods and alot of grocery stores now have an organic section that can be a little bit less. And if you wash your fruits and vegetables pretty good, you don't have to buy organic, if it's not in the budget. You can still eat healthy, good people and not break the bank.

      Actually all grocery stores (Albertsons, Kroger, Amazon, etc.) throw out there close to expired foods and do not donate to shelters because of the risk of food born illness and risk to be sued on expired food. In America we are a sue happy society so its a liability issue for these companies to give a away food. Also if they lower the price it hurts their brand as the customers would expect to pay $4-5 for that pie vs. $10-$15. Food Waist is a big issue in the United States but this is a complex issue in that there are the produces, distributers, and sellers of these products that would shy away from giving away or lowering the price of their products as it effects everyone bottom line.

    Good morning I did enjoy this and I do go to whole foods now and then. People can say what they want about buying food but the key is really home cooking! My husband and I are getting up there in years I am 71 and my husband is 75 we go to the doctor once a year to have our blood checked and a normal check up we are on no MEDS NONE. Why are we healthy? We don't eat out much at all WE cook at home grow a garden and eat not much sugar at all I do buy free range eggs people need to shop on the OUTSIDE aisle OF THE STORE and stay out of the middle of the store stop buying boxed food. If people would start cooking like they did in the old days like our grand parents did there would be hardly any sickness. Stop eating at fast food places cut back to once a month! OMG READ LABLES. I guess the last thing is understanding what your GUTS need to stay healthy and RUN your body think about what you eat in a day how many chemicals and preservatives your eating in a day? As we get older our immune system is not what it used to be and therefore for cannot fight off all the stuff we fill our body with. EAT REAL FOOD shop where you want but wash everything. What do we eat meat potatoes veggies eggs and cheese we love our coffee in the morning with cream the only thing I buy packaged is pasta and I can foods from the garden if you don't want to can it freeze it. Keep it simple and you will be healthy it is really all about the immune system and what you feed it and remember sugar is killing us use honey.

      If you're able to "be careful with your money" and survive in this economy, remember to thank the vast support network that made that possible for you, and turn your attention to the plight of the average American worker. • @stickyfox
      @stickyfox Год назад +1

      @@ketopower It is estimated that about 700 million people live in extreme poverty worldwide. But here in the USA, the number is definitely more than 10%. Meanwhile, some people residing here enjoy wealth that exponentially grows regardless of their productivity. They can stand in an office pointing at things, or stand on a yacht holding a martini, and reap millions of dollars in the same amount of time most Americans work to make $100.
      And the middle class is disappearing, the poverty class is growing. Those people aren't saving up and becoming millionaires. Neighborhoods are being bought up by vacation rentals and landlords and turning into slums or resort towns with $5,000/week rates. "Single-digit millionaire is the new middle class" is a common expression in wealth demographic discussions.
      It should be offensive to everyone that people like Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk are permitted to amass billions and enjoy tax exemptions in a nation whose citizens are dying of treatable diseases. These people should arguably be stripped of their assets and deported or imprisoned. Certainly not permitted to mark up produce 1000% and call it haute cuisine.

      sticky u r griping about stuff u have no control over. u r still stinking thinking inside the box and are not comprehending the facts, the truth is you cant change others by osmosis. You can only change Your Own Circumstance By Changing Yourself!!!! The problem is people think they are Entitled to be given anything they want that someone else earned just because they dont have it themselves. It will never work because if someone gives you what you didnt earn or work for you do not appreciate it just like a kid gets a new expensive toy and breaks it right away and plays with the box it came in or the paper it was wrapped in because the pretty colors etc. The child is not at fault because the child has not learned by experience and guidance yet to understand the value of how much labor went into the whole process of making the money to even be able to manufacture the item, from start to finish, the money, time, sweat, tears, success, failures, etc from the thought to finished product, the process of making the money to even be able to buy the item, the process from start to finish on that end etccc.... The only way most people learn is doing. They do not learn from being just given things. By the way, These people with all the so called money in the world is an absolute burden to have that much money and these people are chained and bound by the money they have because they always have to work on keeping track of it and shuffling it around and doing what governments and others are begging from them day and night. Be Careful what you ask for. Look at all the people who won a lot of money etc and they didnt even take the time to learn how to use it correctly first before they started spending it on foolish stuff. A lot of people in the world are still in the spoon fed stage of life because they are Not willing to educate themselves on Not being like the 99% of the people in the world and to learn from the vast amount of knowledge from history, people and all the mistakes and wise decisions of others past, present to help make your own future better.

    Whole Foods is a niche store for wealthy single professionals who don't cook. One was put in to a congested upper-middle-class neighborhood within a half-mile of the main Wegmans store in the northeast, and a Trader Joes. NO ONE goes to the Whole Foods except for some takeout lunch soup. The gimmick is to offer a few specialty items and hope people will buy the rest of their groceries at grossly-inflated prices. Walmart is far cheaper than Whole Foods and Kroger. For about 6 months, they had a special $3.99 lb for grass fed beef on Tuesdays, so I'd order 6 lbs of meat, some milk, eggs, half and half and they'd put it in my car. We all shop the sales, too. It's expensive everywhere
