Humic is really a miracle product. It has so many benefits. Thanks for all you do John . Learning about soil and turf grass has been my hobby the past 5 years or so and I always appreciate your videos and take in all I can .
I really liked this video. We have had a lot of heat stress in the lawn in Richmond, VA the past several weeks. I had an area that that the sprinkler was not reaching very well. I got inspired (or frustrated) with this this area. I just dumped a bunch of Humic 12 and Air 8 into a sprinkling can a doused the area heavily. I then hand watered it. I did this another time and I believe I used some RGS. It seemed to help some but I bit the bullet and had the irrigation company come out and they suggested changing the heads so as to hit the area. All good as the new heads are now covering the area better. Then about 10 -14 days ago everything turned GREAT. I have noticed the area I treated is way ahead in color, height and health. Incredible what water - many more oz than suggested rates of your products really can do. It may give me some inspiration to hit other areas that are struggling a little more. Thanks John for the video.
I have a couple same areas that were struggling to get growth because of hard dirt/clay and moss. As soon as I started hitting it regularly with humic 12 and RGS...man that Bermuda is taking over that moss like no tomorrow. Love this stuff. Putting down some 18-0-1 tonight and 7-0-0 and MicroGreene on Sunday.
Very interesting experiment. I will watch this to the end. But then all of your videos I watched to the end. They're all very logical and very entertaining.

If anyone doubts this just try it. I had a stunted growth situation after applying Cutter mosquito treatment at exactly the suggested rate. I remember LCN saying that he uses Humic and RGS as kind of a medicine. I love mowing every 3-4 days and was not happy that my growth was stunted so I took Allyne's advice, The Lawn care nut, and threw down the suggested rate of Humic and RGS on my St. Augustine and within 3 days I was back to happy grass. I have already told John about this but I wanted to say it again for any doubters. Nothing wrong with healthy skepticism, but I promise if you follow the guys in this community and learn from them you will be dominating in no time. BTW, I live in Dallas, Texas. I don't know any of these guys.
So huge dose of humic-12 is ok. Would a heavy dose of RGS have any problems because of the other components in there? Can you stimulate too much root growth?

In other words since you put down four times the amount or maybe even much more than that into the poorly growing area should we also just adjust it to four times or her more on all of our grass? To put it another way,... the old adage of one aspirin was good... is 2 even better. And maybe even four would be even better than that. Or maybe 10 aspirins? From the recommended dosage should we just keep increasing? Or is there a point of diminishing benefit?
@mbrutus5 so the makers of this did a video many years ago where they sprayed an acre at the plant with straight humic. If I remember correctly he said it took care of the weed problem. Go look it up. I always go very very heavy
Hello John I am trying to get some tiftuf Bermuda plugs to fill in a big bare spot so I was thinking about does this. I was wondering what would happen if you put RGS down a gallon at a time? Would it burn the grass?
Jeez, with that kind of top growth with that much humic you have me rethinking my strategy and maybe holding off on spraying more humic in my lawn until after my grass seed is actually germinated and growing a bit instead of spraying it right away at seed-down time since I don’t want to push my existing grass at all. What do you think, seed down then wait 3 weeks and then go nuts?
DIY Dad so I watched your video with the terra vita and there’s no way you could hit the levels I did here. You’d need to apply that whole pack to 250ft to get this. Just run it and don’t worry
I just purchased the Bio Stim Pack from The Lawn Care Nut and I can't wait to start putting things down. I was wondering what grass type you have and what the temps are where you are? I'm up in RI where the heat has been been in the high 80's in the past week and I'd got KBG. Can't wait to see the results.
@@Lawncology Hey John just want to say again that your videos are great. I've been binge watching them and learning so much. . I just got my soil tests back and was wondering if you'd take a look at them and give me some guidelines on where to go. Thanks
Working through the video. It appears you're having a bit warmer air temps in SLC than we are here in Cary, NC. Would it be advantageous to hammer a yard of TTTF with Humic12 this time of year?
JP how many oz of product of humic 12 with one gallon of water? I don't use the ortho hose end sprayer I use the 32oz lawn solution bottles. And on the 18-0-1 as well I have Bermuda grass and the total square feet is 3000 live in Dallas Tx and it's hot here not hotter than Houston tho lol
Can you plz compare this with Andersons humic biochar dg? They claim it’s 60+% of humic vs 12% in Next. I’m sure there’s better way of comparing but not sure what. They are discussions in law forum about the same also I saw your other video on how liquid is better but the cost breakdown like you usually do will be appreciated
What exactly would help? There is a reaction process needed to release the acids from the shale. Typically the app rates for similar responses are 150-200 pounds per acre vs a few gallons.
Can I use this on potted plants & trees or do you have a different plant formula? The ingredients looks pretty basic just want to make sure im not missing anything.
Just gonna say up front.. I’m gonna watch the whole thing. It’s kinda a Richard Burton thing.🤣🤣 Seriously though, I am interested in this content. My initial takeaway is that I probably won’t be needing to add dye with this application.
Lawncology I tried it for the first time when applying chelated iron. Got that crap EVERYWHERE. Not sure I’ll use it again outside a 32 oz spray bottle with herbicide.
Do you think the time of day applied or if applied when you know you are getting rain has any effect on results with any part of the bio stim pack????? I treated my back yard yesterday and going to do my front maybe today. Trying to plan what time to do it.
The products work fantastic John! Why don’t you have Pete come west with his aeravator and get that property as smooth as a ball field? That would be a fun video! Happy Fourth of July. Always good to let the kids know freedom isn’t free. We ALL need to safeguard it.
Hey John, you're experiencing some high temps, expected high of 98 deg. today according to my Storm app. But you're cutting your grass, and your grass is looking great. What type of grass do you have?My TTTF is looking great as well because of the N-ext products and fungicide apps. I mean it looks like it does in the springtime. But, because it's TTTF, I'm hesitant to cut it this time of year - unless we are hit a cool spell. Would it be wise for me to hold off on cutting this type of grass now? We'll be in the low 70's to mid 90's for the next ten days according to Storm. I'm afraid I'll put too my stress, and it won't be able to tolerate the summer heat. One more thing. I believe you mentioned in one of your videos that carbon is lost to the atmosphere from bare spots in the yard, which I have many from a fall & spring kill-off of weeds, mainly POA. Anything we can do about that i.e., water in the app real good, wait till fall over seeding, enjoy a fine glass of Valpolicella or maybe a French Beaujolais wine, a beer or 6?
+Gene DuClos hey bud! I’m running Kentucky blue, I’m currently away from the lawn for ten days and during that time, I’m letting the lawn grow a bit. I’m still going to do some short cuts, but I want to see how much it’s actually growing this time of year. I would get you worried about cutting just don’t do too much at once. If you can keep bare spots damp, they will have less chance of loss. And yes, have a fine wine and enjoy summer
So do you recommend immediate watering after applying the Humic acid to my lawn? I live in central FL where the summertime heat is pretty intense. I want to give my lawn the best protection I can give it.
Would this be good to put on the ground along with air8 and rgs on newly seeded tall fescue in the fall or would it be better to wait 2 or 3 weeks until it comes up and gets established. Just wondering since this is so good for the soil.
I use a hose end sprayer to apply all my bio stimulants. after applying my 1000 sq. ft area I run a little more water over it, not much though. What will give the best results, water it in good or just by applying it with the hose end sprayer is enough?
What effect, if any, would such a massive dose of H12 have on the soil pH? Just asking cause mine is low and while I have plenty of H12 on hand I have to go to,the big box to get lime. BTW, I live in N Central GA and have TTTF.
Justin Jones you’ll likely still need to lime depending on where your pH is. With large humic doses, it would hold a higher pH longer when applied with lime, but for the cost to go super high, you’re better off to adjust the pH with your lime app and then remain on a standard app rate of humic12, but do it more often. This will help a ton moving forward.
Hey John if you're looking for a lawn to demonstrate how well your products work on I'll gladly volunteer mine. No problem at all it's the least I could do.😂
The bottle says "is a weak alkaline solution",so... it will raise your soil ph? can i use a weak acid like vinegar mixed with the humic 12 to keep my soil ph levels??
I have about 3.5 gallons of different brands of humid acid and sea kelp I’m doing about 32 oz per 1000 every week and I have about 6000 sq feet going to see how it goes
Get that kid some breakfast 😀. I asked you a month ago what to do about my heat stressed lawn. The humic12 you suggested has it looking absolutely amazing. Literally the best looking lawn in the neighborhood and a few of them are treated by "professionals". Thanks for being an inspiration and have a great weekend.
I'm confused why you would use Humic-12 in this situation vs Air 8? I have pretty crappy soil in my backyard and have been religiously applying "Compaction Cure". Would Humic-12 be a better option for fixing my soil?
+Carl Barrett the short answer is that I wanted more Humic/fulvic content without the major pH jump and potential burn I would have had at that app rate. Reality is that air8 does wonders for hard soil, this was just to see what I could get away with in one area
What’s your watering schedule like? I’m watering deep and infrequent here in West Jordan Utah, getting my inch of water a week but it seems like it’s still not enough? Any suggestions?
Lawncology thanks bro! And watering early in the morning is the correct thing to do right? I recently purchased a sprayers plus sprayer and I’m looking forward to using that to apply all the products including 18-0-1, what do you recommend for that application?
I can never get the dang lid to screw on straight on the ortho sprayer so then it leaks. It takes me at least 2-3 times to get it on. I may return to using my chapin hose end.
Thanks a lot! I’m really learning a lot from you! Using Next products have really made lawn care easier and I can’t wait to use them on my 2500 sqft. renovation. I’m scoring big points with the Mrs. 😄

What's your daytime temperature now? Have any idea of the ground temp?
It’s been in the 80’s. Haven’t checked ground, but it will be warm.
LOVE Humic12
+Todd Kepler essential tool for the serious lawn lover
I have about 3.5 gallons of different brands of humid acid and sea kelp I’m doing about 32 oz per 1000 every week and I have about 6000 sq feet going to see how it goes
That’s a lot.
"The Corn Hole Green Challenge" . Looking good!! who else is in?
+Chris Elms it’s on. I mowed everything off today. Start from scratch when I return
+Santiago Rivas awesome! Glad to hear it. Humic for stress and water retention is absolutely key
i just caught this after watching again, 164 times the rate
Yes. Over the top on purpose
How long did it take to notice the difference
+Jesus Quiles well, you should be 2-2.5 here. It takes a lot to get it where it needs to be in our dry state
Lawncology thanks bro! And watering early in the morning is the correct thing to do right? I recently purchased a sprayers plus sprayer and I’m looking forward to using that to apply all the products including 18-0-1, what do you recommend for that application?
Jesus Quiles that’s a great way to do it. Put out 16 ounces per thousand and water in
Lawncology thank you for your time and amazing products!
Hopefully no Humic drift into your coffee! 😱
"Hmm... our Humic 12 sales are down this quarter. We need a sales boost quick!" JP: "Hold my beer."
+Emiljon lol. Not this year. 😂😂 The boys have been jamming to keep stock, it’s been a very busy year for the Humic production team.
...." hold my, coffee...." there.....fixed it....
What are the differences from using h12 and products like hydrotain?
I like the shades, what kind are they?
+Walter Burns ray ban 4147. Nice big fit.
I wish we could buy combo packs with 2.5 gallons
Build a box? I feel like you can?
I think you can get four at a time but only in one gallon jugs. I think you’d just have to build two boxes right?
@@Lawncology you can, i just bought the 5 gallon build a box with 2, 2.5 gallon humic12 .
Well I’ll be spraying Humic again after I mow, I usually do. Any real difference between granular vs liquid?
Uptake quickness.
Real question is how long the benefits stay with average soil leeching.
Love It!!!
What kind of grass is this?
Kentucky blue, my friend.
I can never get the dang lid to screw on straight on the ortho sprayer so then it leaks. It takes me at least 2-3 times to get it on. I may return to using my chapin hose end.
+Gary Wheeler its a weird little item. We will be showcasing something very soon that will help with apps.
Are you and Pete from gci having a competition on who can put down the most humic 12.... Lol
John Blevins great minds think alike
@@Lawncology very true.... Both of you are master's of grass....
Holy Crap! It is Friday isn't it?!?!?
Where did you get that awesome moose shirt! I want one 😃
+Garden Moose ooooh. It’s special. Do a search for Copper Moose Farms Park City UTAH...
Thanks a lot! I’m really learning a lot from you! Using Next products have really made lawn care easier and I can’t wait to use them on my 2500 sqft. renovation. I’m scoring big points with the Mrs. 😄
What was your application rate in the sprayer?
+John Wills put it on 8ounces per gallon. So it took about 2-3 minutes per 32 ounces
What’s the difference between liquid humic vs granular? Granular seems to be higher percentage.
+Manny Chava I will do a video on this
@@Lawncology please do. I'm a homeowner without a big sprayer. I have 35,000+ sqft of lawn. Wish you jad granules.
Gary Avery I may have another option for you. Stay tuned
Nice Lawn
+D S thank you. Low and tight
😂😂😂i would love to do that to my whole lawn 1 gallon per 1k $114 that's not too bad
Man we have something at the plant that gives a crazy does for a low cost
What’s the “12” stand for? 🤷♂️😊
+Scootdawg great question! 12% Humic acid guarantee. The product actually tests out higher, but that’s our minimum guaranteed allowance.
What’s exactly humic 12...12% humic acid?
Whoa, u gotta whole house? I thought u lived in a shed, but i didnt wanna say anything. Next thing ur gonna tell me is u own a pair of shoes lol

Lawncology Make it 40 next time 🤟🏽
What is this song at 11:40
+bnielsen44 I’ll have to get back to you on it, I downloaded it from the RUclips creator studio a while back, it’s saved in my iTunes on my laptop but that’s getting repaired, I will t getnit back until the end of next week. Keyboard fizzled out.
