Hi garycooper4460, thanks for watching. It was originally being built for a Chinese cruise line that went bankrupt as a result of Covid, their assets were up for sale and Disney bought the unfinished ship.
Those increased onboard experiences often mean increased onboard spending. I go on a cruise for the relaxation, dining and the occasional port stop. I don't really care to sail on a floating amusement park. I hope that the cruise lines will still keep some of their smaller ships.
Hi jgesselberty, thanks for watching. Your view seems to be shared with many cruisers. To your point of increased onboard spending, I know that factors in when cruise lines develop new concepts. It's becoming less common to see newly introduced amenities as included.
Hi otraviator, thanks for watching. The assets from Genting were ripe for the picking and Disney will now have a very compelling ship in that market that will do very well.
Hi NAStudios1, thanks for watching. Next ships for Carnival be repurposed Princess Cruises ships that will serve the Australia market in 2025. Then they'll add two more Excel class (like Mardi Gras) in 2027 and 2028, followed by a brand new, much larger class of ships starting in 2029.
Hi CruizinGal, thanks for watching. I get that, many people are are turned off by these massive ships, but at least there are lots of smaller vessels available to choose from.
Hi gatoreuph, thanks for watching. I totally understand, these massive ships are not for everyone and luckily, cruise lines still offer many smaller alternatives in their fleets.
I heard RCCL is planning a new class to replace the Radiance class. I think that panamax size is a sweet spot. Just hope it won’t be as outlandishly expen$ive as the icon class 💸
Are you excited for the New Cruise Ships of 2025? Let us know in the comments.
Absolutely amazing Chris
That Disney ship is big. Thank you for this video.

Disney Adventure was purchased from Global Cruises, who went bust, Adventure becomes the biggest ship in the Disney fleet...

Titles so big you can't see 25% of what's shown on screen....
Hi m.e.c.5837, thanks for watching and your comments. I've never had any complaints about titles, but I'll see about a new format for future videos.
Oh to be thirty years younger with a bigger budget
Hi aimeerogers4542, thanks for watching.
The fact that Disney actually purchased the half finished Global Dream and just renamed it Disney Adventure still leaves me in shock.

Great video, are there any new carnival cruises coming out?

@ Thanks
No thank you…don’t like the mammoth ships with 4,000+ passengers. Need to pack a lunch to get from one end to the other.

At my age, they're all too big.
