Mint Condition is so criminally underrated. Amazing live band. Absolutely amazing. All that is 100% real, and the lead singer Stokely just released a solo album not too long ago. Check out Mint Condition song Nothing More To Say.
Mint Condition is from Minneapolis I believe & Prince had him in his band in later years. I remember going to the record store buying this single & asking for pretty Brown eyes & because my real eyes are Hazel (click the thumbnail), the girl behind the counter snapped at me and said "It's not pretty brown eyes, it's called Breaking My Heart! You think you something because of your eyes if they're even real". Yes, they are because I look exactly like my dad, got those from him too (R.I.P). I couldn't believe people could be that crazy. I like the song, but it always makes me think of that nonsense. 😂
Yes they are absolutely a tremendous live band and Stokely's vocals are everything!
@@LG-kx8xl I also remember going to the record store to get this tape and got concert tickets to see them in concert! Their concert was outstanding !
@@LG-kx8xl they are an awesome Group and that is a great track. About the eyes…imagine what the people of color with the genetic anomaly that causes Blue eyes experience. People give them a very hard time and along with the eyes comes a hearing problem usually.
Minneapolis strikes again! That's why Prince worked with Stokeley.
Mint Condition is an actual “band”. They play all their own instruments.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This was my song because my ex used to always described my eyes as such. So this is one of my anthems. Therefore it hits different when you think the song is about you 🤣
@@Satori_My_G Lisa Fisher, How Can I Ease The Pain check it out one day. 1991 is when it was released. It's just one those songs . You're an old soul and music is your inspiration, you can draw from it.
@@portiamatthews9654 👍👍
@@jojogolo8228 😁, Thank you for your response 👍
Anything Stokley sings is 🎯
" Levels " 😒
Facts!
Facts
Big facts!! 😂😂
Luv his vocals 😍
Gotta do "U Send Me Swingin'" by Mint Condition. All I'll say.
Definitely a favorite of mine
Yeah I like "u send me swingin" better than this song.
Yesss
My favorite
Facts!! Both are masterpieces
By the way, Mint Conditio. Is a real band. With real MUSICIANS. This arrangenent is fire.
Mint Condition "What kind of man would I be" straight 🔥🔥
That was nice!!
Mint Condition ain't no joke. They keep it tight.
This song came out in 1991!! 31 years ago!!! Better than anything today!!! I was on the USS Midway decommissioning crew.
That boy Stokely don't miss!!!
Back when R&B was 🔥! I swear we had the best music in the 90s with such bands/groups as Mint Condition, Jodeci , Toni Tony Tone, the list goes on and on
And on and on...💯
@@s001til you ain't lyin!
can you guys recommend me songs similar to this or a playlist I wanna embrace the 90s rnb vibes
Sorry the 70’s gave all you a jump start from our music 🎼

My two favorite Mint Condition Songs!
Yes yes yes !!!
Also “you don’t have to hurt no more” “ nuthn left to say”
@@sixfootbeauty and yes!!!
Someone to Love takes me down memory lane. Great choice.
One of the greatest RnB bands of all time. Period.
No matter how many times I listen to this song, it never gets old!
Better than EVERYTHING in the last 10 years!!!
The last 20+!
For sure! 🔥
Try 20 years
these boys can blow bro, the lead singer be killing it!
Thank you Prince for opening the doors for sum awesome bands outta Minni!
Mint Condition You Send me Swinging
Great song!
The hook in this track is unbelievable. Their lead singer Stokely Williams took the role of Prince and did the guitar and vocals for Prince's The Revolution reunited tour after he died. I don't know too many other musicians who could even come close to filling the role of Prince but Stokley did it.
Glad you kids are getting exposed to that great music we made you on these songs 😂 🙈 I'm 43 btw, my daughter is 22
😂😂😂👀
FACTS @LADYGIRL99 MANNNNN💯💯❤💯❤(INDIANA)
You got that right ! I made a yougin or 3 to shit for sure.
I can’t believe this song is like 30 years old...or that I’m old enough to remember when it came out (to be fair, it was a pivotal year in my life).
Girl OMG it is that old I remember when this came out 1991 or 92
Please stop 🤣🤣🤣 time is flying 😩😩😩
Mint Condition had some of the best intros. They came out swinging on this song. 🔥🔥 I just know this studio session was fire!!
This song really is perfect from start to finish.
31 years later and this ish still goes hard. I was a freshman in college when this dropped. Played the hell out of this album!
This song hits from beginning to end🔥🔥🔥
The Way they Killed This song 🔥
Sounds of blackness, we were in the studio at FLYTE TYME the very same time that Mint was recording this. I remember hearing the preliminary tracks for the first time and I lost my mind. I’m so proud of my homey’s. I count them among the greatest R&B bands up there with earth wind and fire, cameo etc. THIS SONG WAS DEFINITELY ON FIRE. ❤️🔥❤️🔥
Ma'am if I may ask you.. is the story true? Of the former lead singer quitting on the group which led to Stokely having to step up and sing this song? 🤔🤔🤔
@@dangerwhite697 I heard that too
This is MY GROUP right here! ❤❤❤
I knew it.... I just knew it 😂😂
I knew when the saxophone start to play.
You'd be gone
Song is blazing fire 🔥🔥🔥
For everyone that suggested this song to Satori My G..... One Love
Thank you 💜
Because Satori's reaction off of this one
.... is everything
Yes it’s awesome your reactions I love how you feel the music
Yassss!
Other songs by Mint Condition you may like are:”Someone to Love”, “What kind of man would I Be”, “You send me swinging’”, “ You don’t have to hurt no more”, “Forever I’m your eyes”, and “So Fine”.
What kind of man!!! They need to play that on the radio now.
You dont have to hurt no more is the song!!!!!!!! brings back so many memories
So fine
What kind of Man wld I be! 💯
@@faveese I love that song.
This is my group. LOVE Mint Condition. The beat and production on their songs are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Truly THE MOST UNDERRATED BAND EVER! They are fire! Wish you could see them LIVE. It's like no other experience.
This is the Real Deal! This is another reason why I say that 70s-80s music was Real music! No studio add ons, No autotune, Just pure talent!
I always start cracking up at your reaction when you suddenly hear a saxophone!!🤣🤣🤣 I love it!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Mint Condition is cold - LOVE THEM straight musicians
"Oh sh**! What was that?!" Hahaha! So genuine. It's composition/a "bridge" by real musicians. Good stuff, huh. They have to many to name. Enjoy!
This was my favorite band in the 90's. I have not yet seen a reaction from anyone to their song -Nothing Left to Say-the most meaningful lyrics in music...periodt!
FACTS
Their Catalog is Fiyaaaaaaaaah
Run it back.. Yass fiyah! Lead vocalist Stokely has current solo music that pumps hard. Stay lifted!
My boyfriend dedicated this to me during Slow Jamz 🤣 He used to sing his heart out
I forgot how GOOD this beat is!!!🎤🔊🎧👍🏾
Definition of a Band. Talent on top of talent. Your reaction is priceless. Seeing them live is insane!
One of those joints that *instantly* transforms me back to my... younger days 😉🤣🙌🏽❤
Yessss sir! Official Minthead over here!!! You must see them live in concert 💯 They are a total live band that gives you an experience that’s sure to hook you and leave you very satisfied!
"Pretty brown eyes...you know I see you..." Yaaaaasssss! M.I.N.T. is the best "band" around next to EW&F and the Isleys and Tony Toni Tone. Stokley is a beast with his vocals and MC live in concert is 🔥🔥🔥Good choice, Satori. 👍🏽🕺🏾💃🏾🎶
Your reaction to this song is similar to how brother's reaction was the first time he heard it! He went straight to the store and purchase the CD! To this day the album is fire!
Glad My Satori G you felt what I and so many in my generation was feeling in 1991/92 when we heard this song!🙂
There whole catalog is smoking hot. You can't miss with them !!!🔥🔥🔥
It’s actually called Breaking My Heart..lol Jeffrey Allen plays the sax on this. He’s also an awesome keyboard player..Another good one from among many Someone To Love
That whole album is great!
This was one of the few full bands in the 90's still making good R&B music. For that alone, they should be more famous.
Awesome band. They used to tour with Toni Braxton.
Their drummer is Kerry Toni's now ex-husband.
You reacting like all of us old heads when we at Mint concerts and they get to this song. EVERY Guy and Girl singing and swinging You gotta catch their live shows.
You Dont Have To Hurt No More is also great by Mint Condition!
Please react to Mint condition - what kind of man would I be
Back when Rnb was sizzling - RNB is dead in the water died a slow death...quite sad really.
So true
I hit subscribe, when I saw you were reviewing one of the best things to come out of Minnesota. One of Prince's favorite bands, the living legends, MINT CONDITION. Multi-instrument playing masters of the game. If you ever have a chance to see them live, do so.
They are even better live
This one of my favorite songs of allllllll times
Oh yeah this was the ish when it dropped in the 90's. I loved this jam for all the ladies who have brown eyes 👀 even though I have green eyes 👀 and Stockley's voice 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Mint Condition is on my list of Top 5 Live Bands.
Since you like this & downloaded it, you might as well download the lp.The cover on your right shoulder. They are another great group from MN. like: Prince, The Time, Mazarati, Next, The Jets, Studio group Low-Key, Sounds of Blackness,The Family. There are more, not counting Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis contributed you can now see how big the MN.seen was in the 80's thru the late 90's in music.
Thank you Prince!!! 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
There is nothing like a live group band and Mint Condition is a good one!!!!
Whoo!! Enjoyed watching you enjoy this!! This a straight classic!! 😍 Mint Condition has some great music. My vote is for “What Kind Of Man Could I Be?” next!!
One of my fav songs hehe. That instrument music break is everything. That’s the difference in a real band. To think they wrote that bridge and music themselves. So underrated. Loving your vids ❤️
Lmao! I love watching y'all EXPERIENCE OUR GENERATION MUSIC! 💖
😂me too!! We're too blessed!
YOU MUST LISTEN TO THE WHOLE ALBUM " DEFINITION OF A BAND" TRUST AND BELIEVE. GOD BLESS. PEACE
Such an amazing band saw them in the late 90s the whole audience was up dancing
I’m 30 and I’ve grown up listening to all these songs and more from this era… I’m so happy I know all these songs… I’m really an old soul… you need to dive into more of their songs… love me some mint condition 🔥🔥🧡🧡🧡
You definitely need to react to You Send Me Swangin by Mint Condition!
Glad you found out how amazing this group is. They are probably the most underrated R&B group ever. Seen them in concert 9 times. 💙💙
I would love for you to react to Eric Benet - Feminity and Kenny Latimore - Never too Busy
WHAT!!!!???? Femininity was/ is my joint!!!!✊🏾😂
MY FAV FROM KENNY IS " FOR YOU". PERFECT WEDDING SONG.
Gotta check out "So Fine". Yo.... And be sure to find the album version. Mint Condition is a deep rabbit hole.
I saw them in concert when they came to Harrisburg they did a good concert they did this as the last song people went so crazy I had front row seats so I acted a fool I lost my voice and everything
Yesss...the 1990's were the years of the R/B bands...They were some heavy hitters...I also loved "Forever in your eyes"
I love hearing this one live!!!!!!
Mint Condition was one of rare bands from this era that actually played instruments. They were seriously underrated but had heavy radio rotation. Stokley Williams was always ahead of the times with his writing and musicianship. I remember they used to frequent the 930 Club in DC with Al Green #90'sallday
If your generation would play instruments again, maybe y'all will bring groups back!
Listen to " Mint Condition - My Dear". Thats my favorite! The melody and lyrics are beautiful! Those guys are really talented. Plus it was produced by Jam and Lewis!!
Okay now you got me hooked on these reactions from you listening to these real old school music.
It's the vibe you just can't now.
Bruno Mars and Anderson paak is trying to make it all come back with a group Soul Sonic with "Leave the Door Open and their latest" "Skate"
A timeless certified slapped, ain’t it?!? Type of cut you wanna go get dapper, ride out and blast this💪🏾
#toosmooth
Excellent band that definitely deserves much much more credit. A very talented crew
Check out an early Eric Benet song "Femininity", as well as Brian McKnight's "What's My Name?" and "Another You". Both artists have a great musical catalogue, these are a few of their lesser known songs. The first two are grown and sexy. Another You, on the other hand, would make an excellent wedding song.
The good 'ol sound of Minneapolis. Stokley Williams killing it on vocals. Produced by Jellbean Johnson of The Time.
This song makes every guy I know do the outstretched to hands on the breaking my heart part ☺️ Classic!
i'm glad that i found your channel and i love how you are appreciating our generation of music you are so genuine with your reactions and i love it.
Amen!!!! 🎶🙌🏽👍🥰 Love his Reactions!!! 🎅✔❣🎶🙌🏽🥰
That absolute pleasure that came over your face at the end is exactly how I feel every time I hear MC! That made me so proud!!
You must review Johnny Gill’s duet with Stacy Lattisaw- Where do we go from here!! This song is lit 🔥!!
Pleeeeeeeesssseeee Satori!!!🥰❣👍🎅❣
Great song!! Underrated band.
I have no idea how I missed this reaction 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️This is one of my jamz😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎. Great reaction as always👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Still a banger too me❤️
I love how the younger generation is diggin' our music, I absolutely love it. It's crazy I'm a ole head now, I was just in my 20s yesterday it seem like; You got a new sub young bruva
YESSSSSSS. Another full band. They were rare for the 90's but held it down like no other. Another must see if they get back together and tour.
@Loyana Dale I also had the pleasure of seeing them live! A-MA-ZING!!!! Everything was a 10!!! Sold out, of course. Mint Condition is a WHOLE MOOD! That's why they're so loved.
@@vgordon596 Everytime they'd come through my city, they get the crowd. We love live bands. They're so doggone good.

Fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Once again, I’m glad you had a chance to experience the music we grew up to.
I was in middle school when then classic hit the radio. Good times.
This brings back so many memories. Love your reaction and love those pretty brown eyes!

Your reaction and what you did to this is the same reaction I had years ago. Feeling every vibe.
