    What is the criteria for 2 run,3 Run cable selection?

    • @Electrical_Engineers_Academy
      @Electrical_Engineers_Academy  2 года назад +2

      Following are examples of multiple cables selection :
      1. Motors having a Star/Delta starters must be connected using 2 runs of 3 core cables, regardless of the size.
      2. Loads with breaker rating higher than 400A. This is since the max. Cable size used locally is 300mm2 for a 400A breaker. Therefore, if you have a 630A rated load, then you'll have to find a suitable cable combination, like 2x4C 185mm2.
      3. When the voltage drop value is very high, then you might have to decide in some cases, whether to use a bigger cable size or multiple runs to ensure that voltage drop is within permissible limits.
      More on this in the coming tutorial videos, where I will provide a detailed voltage drop calculation study and explain all aspects.

    Why 30A and above load,, wire size are different for single phase and three phase...?
    And also if it is armored wire size is very less, why...? Is it depends on insulation..?
