man, thank you so much for uploading this, you just brought me some really good memories of my childhood, i remember being there on 01, 02, 03 and 04, i missed a day of school and went with my father, my uncle and a friend of my dad...
It’s crazy in 2023 Dixon and Helio are still going and Tony Kanaan is now only retiring. Also Dario has been gone 10 years already. Gil DeFerren has been gone 20. And how times have changed. To see Kmart sponsoring anything. Or tobacco companies. I also miss Paul Page he’s too indycar what JR is to WWE or Madden was to NFL.
I got interested in CART in 1988 & started following it. Awesome series. At the time in the UK they used to show most races, but really late at night, or early morning. Great to see all these vids 👍🏼
Thanks for keeping the ads in. I know it's weird to say that, as annoying as modern marketing is, but the time capsule from the whole broadcast (local commercials and all) is really fun.
this was the last CART season that was properly broadcasted, besides... i did not remember fundidora park to look so nice, it had nothing on a formula 1 racetrack, the first corners remind me of australian albert park as used in f1... great display for our mexican brothers,,
For someone who in his CART racing career when he was with Truesports would never talk to the media when he was out of the race, rather he left that to Team Manager Steve Horne to do interviews for him, Scott Pruett sure is a hell of a announcer.
Can anybody please tell me what happened to Scott Dixon that made him fall out of the lead earlier? I wasn't paying attention when that happened and I missed it.

Back when Indycars (CART) looked good
Hands down best sounding Champ Car!! Attended this race every year on a boys trip. Miss these cars and venue!
For anyone who doesn’t know the background song from the intro it is called Are You Ready, from creed

Zanardi's motto- "GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY!"

i remember that i couldn't come to this one.. i was in Vancouver so i went to that one.. instead... i wish we could have F1 in monterrey. ;)
I wish all of your people would stay in your country

the golden age of indy car, absolutly fantastic almost 30 cars inside the track
Golden age? WHAT? THIS IS IN THE MIDDLE OF A CIVIL WAR BETWEEN CART AND IRL!
Neat doing the interview with the driver still in the car after the race.
zackh900 It's because they weren't prepared or willing to extend the broadcast time.
any time stamps for shinji nakano? making a compilation of his car
the track still there, but they don't use anymore, just for special events, concerts or tuning car shows, and it always has been a park ;).
3:06 Patrick Carpentier going for the Wayne Static (of Static-X) look there.
Can anybody please tell me what happened to Scott Dixon that made him fall out of the lead earlier? I wasn't paying attention when that happened and I missed it.
i was there it was a great experience
Ah, the good old days. I miss when this circuit was an actual race track. Now it's just a boring skating park.
It’s for the best, complaining neighbors can close a race track.
Is this street circuit?
Nice! Old-School Creed in the intro!
Back then it was a American version of F1 in road courses only.
half of the schedule was ovals, way more than the current schedule. where do people get the idea CART was all road courses from anyway?
I LOVED CART but damn, those turns are slow for ANY series.
the track is still there.. and the park was way before the park... ther's also museums a hotel and a concert hall.
What ever happened to this track
Crappy adverts. Nice race though. Cool cars
HAHA, that Enron ad!

Gone, there's a park there now.
David Alatorre López it's always has been a park, and it's still there and even the grid is still there, they just don't use it anymore
I miss these Turbo Charged Sounds!!!!!!!
BRING BACK CART!!!!!!!!!
W CART było mało nudnych wyścigów, tutaj I połowa była nudna, a II świetna. A w Formule 1 dużo nudnych wyścigów :-(
