I may sail on the Venezia if I go on a cruise. Hopefully from Central Pennsylvania I can take the amtrak to NY Penn Station and get the subway and walk to the terminal the same day
Thank you for helping to shift the weird PR narrative that it is some awful experience. I quite loved the ship and my cruise as well. 13 days must have been a blast.
I have taken cruises on other Carnival ships. Going on the Venezia in Oct.and so far it looks much more elegant then the other Carnival ships. I think I'm going to like it; even the Lido Deck.
It really is more elegant and the theme throughout is a lot more fun than most of the new Vista class ships that just sorta seem modern without a theme. I will be boarding the sister ship to the Venezia next month the Firenze and it looks nearly identical to this ship with just a few color twists and it looks like a couple additions. I only want to do these ships now! Have a great cruise.
We loved this ship in October and cruising again in a few weeks. The Terrazza area was lovely and we enjoyed our Terrazza room with access. The only thing I felt lacking was the Lido buffet - but all the alternatives were terrific, especially Chinese on Sea Days at the Seafood Shack and the deli.
Thanks for this vid. 😊 Booked the Magic but Carnival changed it to the Venezia (6/19/23, 8 day cruise off Manhattan). For some reason, the crew seemed so disorganized, cranky, & unfriendly, except for a few. Smiling or being pleasant to the guests seemed too much. School was out so it was super crowded. There was no available space in the limited number of swimming pools. Small vessel, comparatively. We liked the Magic more, tbh. Loved dancing in the lounge, the food, the ports. So many activities (Carnival is awesome with that). Loved the cruise director, our waiters, and the asst head (dining). They made up for the cranky ones. Had time to peruse the cute little library. Read an Evanovich book that had me laughing out loud. It’s been years since I actually had time to read a book to relax. My hubby met a new friend during that trip. New friend and his wife (and their children) become our friends since then. Great quality people. We are going back again this summer with our couple-friends. God willing. Same boat. Convenient. No flying needed. Much needed break from work and grad school. Most of all, time with my hubby (love of my life). 🎉🛳️ 🥂🍝🎈🏖️ 💝🐼Nurse A.

Next time, we will go with a Balcony and visit the serenity area. Paying the extra just wasn’t worth it especially as there was no pool like on the Horizon, Panorama and Vista.
I was looking at cruising the Venezia next May for a 5 day Mexican Cruise. Seems very similar to the Horizon (was on her in 2022). The Italian theme looks pretty cool and fancy. One thing i love about the older Carnival ships though is that the Prominade flows much better. The one on the Horizon, which this ship seems to model after, seemed a bit disjointed. That's a very SMALL complaint as overall i loved the ship and the cruise.
