The cutlass red might be the best value ship in the game. For $135 you get great DPS, size 2 components, 2 medical beds, 12+ scu of cargo (can fit another 20 in the medical area). Can fit a cyclone and a ROC. has onboard bed, bathroom, shower, weapon racks, storage locker and an upgraded scanner module.
I drew you on the cutlass that I think the black is king here. Yeah you lose out on the medical bed but I would much rather have the cargo Bay open. Because there are so many other things that you can do by having a cargo Bay.
I had the Pioneer in and out of my cart multiple times, even yesterday evening (still available). In the end I didn't get it, so I started eyeing the Kraken because it's soooo sweet. Then I told myself "NO!" and moved on lol. WB Kraken still available as of this am.
I managed to finally have time at home during a Free Fly event to try this game out, and I had such a good time I went ahead and bought in with one of the discounted starter packages. I love the Drake aesthetic, ultimately I'd love to have pretty much half their lineup but I think for this first year or so I'll stick to my starter, buy things with in-game credits, and keep entering the odd giveaway here and there. If I'm still having a good time with this in a year, maybe I'll treat myself with an upgrade! The Caterpillar has been my favorite ship to look at since I first started watching Star Citizen videos, and getting to try it for free for a couple of days has only solidified that it's my favorite cargo ship. Kind of annoying to load up since you can't effectively load it from the ground but also sometimes can't get the angle to pull things off a freight elevator from inside the bays, but it just has a special style to it that draws me in. I'm eager to see what the modules look like in the future, although the day it's able to be a one-stop ship for me with medical services and carrying a small vehicle, my poor purse is done for!
I always love the Drake aesthetic and the Cutlass is my fav ship. Don’t forget, the Dragonfly was the first bike in game and I still have a Yellowjacket in my hangar ❤
Get multiple computers ready. Hit one f5 button at the exact time hit the other f5 at one sec past time. Make sure you have an exact time app on your phone. Then get through the entire purchase process within 15 seconds.
Drake got a good mix of ships! Maybe missing a offensive ground vehicle or two and some kind of heavy fighter. Waiting for gold standard caterpillar and cutlasses and kracken just makes me smile thinking of it. Especially after trying out the polaris with some friends and randoms the trouble you can get into with a bigger ship makes sc feel like multicrew has a great future ahead of it.
I picked up a Vulture CCU - it's not great, but the ship itself is imo the most useful ship in the entire game. Barring any major nerfs, or massive buffs to other econ aspects, it could be a great fleet ship at launch for solo money.
I went IC. ICA had cool features, but I won't use them. I don't plan to be doing dedicated ground assaults. I don't see ground vehicles survive much to need the S0 garage and jump seats. Railguns work on Tanks just fine. The IC can fit tanks through the roof with a tractor. I'll use a Liberator for what the ICA is designed for. Plus, I really wanted the extra cargo space and the "special" cargo area.
Really debating on CCU'ing my Galaxy to an Ironclad. I love the design and modularity of the Galaxy, but over time the Galaxy's only module I have come to care about is the BLD. With the Starlancer BLD being on the horizon, and the Ironclad having triple the CCU capacity makes it very debatable. Feels bad as I highly dislike Drake and its design/aesthetic being and RSI fanboi, but maaaaaan I can't deny the facts here
Hope I can find time to do the PYRO Event and earn those repeaters before 4.0 drops, but no time to play yet. Just a quick run to the ship show in New Babbage.
From a CCU point of view I didn't like the vulture but for new people its a great ship so I think its one of the better warbonds this IAE even if it didn't help me.
I love the Cutlass Steel because every time you come across it, you say "We don't talk about the Cutlass Steel." If you ever stop that, I'll lose interest. ;-)
One thing to remember is once you pledge for the Apollo Medivac you get the Cutty Red as a loaner so you can compare them both
Thanks for Sharing your thoughts on the available CCUs. Helps alot. Keep It up
Thanks mate! love your content!
Enjoy your takes!
Love these videos, gives me an outside perspective on ships

Great perspective!

Thanks for making these videos!

Good stuff - 'nuff said!

Great guide! Thank you
Drake has a special place as the manufacturer of the coolest ship in game, the Kraken.
Ended up getting the pioneer wave 2, thanks for the pro tips from your stream
what were the tips if i may ask for the next iae

As a fighter I love the Bucc I know it isn't great but I just like.
thanks for this. i bought the mul ingame. is really usefull for package mission as you can 6 packages on it
just got my ship thank you

I would like more war bonds under 200. They had a 15 dollar vulture one a while back.

I never realized the Cutty Red was so good

Bro slamming the vulture 😅 who hurt you? 😂 Happy Holidays bud keep up the great work.
Just the CCU lol

Walter's probably going to be one of the most important ships when it comes to building
Drake is loved more than any ship at CIG. Always better use than other ship builders.
The Mule needs more love, I love that little tractor, and the fact it can spin in place. Too bad the front clamps are not working
I am picking up a Kraken next IAE. I got my Odyssey and Perseus this time, but I am very excited about having that for an Org ship
Drake day was okay, It's ashame the Cat hasn't had the cargo grid fixed yet. I am so looking forward to modules though.
I do like the recent changes they have been going with drake, the vulture is a great ship.
Hope I can find time to do the PYRO Event and earn those repeaters before 4.0 drops, but no time to play yet. Just a quick run to the ship show in New Babbage.
right from the get-go i knew i wanted 2 ships. made sure i got the iornclad, but the kraken was to rich for my blood but not surprised.
Cutlass is the true goat of starters imo just saying u can't go wrong with it
From a CCU point of view I didn't like the vulture but for new people its a great ship so I think its one of the better warbonds this IAE even if it didn't help me.
Got my Kraken + Conversion Kit 🎉
The Kraken is statistically what I want, but the appearance is not. Do want to see how the Ironclads turn out, though!
Vulture best. Shame about the corsair nerf, was eyeballing that one.
How can they offer that Vulture CCU when the Zeus is literally a better chain link in the same price range at $5 for $15?
I love the Cutlass Steel because every time you come across it, you say "We don't talk about the Cutlass Steel." If you ever stop that, I'll lose interest. ;-)
Contemplating the vulture wb for getting a vulture
Grats on your Kraken!
Hope you get your kraken!
the black is grate
As John Crew said cutter is the best ship! Period! 🤣
The most important day, don't we all love Drake?
I didn't Tryed Scraping Mechanics yet, don't think worth atm to me.
I am skipping drake ships, but I would pick up a Caterpillar
Good luck with the F5 war.
I relly Like all features on Corsair, great cargo space, amainz guns, but bro what a goresome Ship ahahaha
Just cannot bring myself to like Drakes. They are the warty Orcs of spaceships.
The CCU was kinda lame but who doesn’t like Drake Day?
Junk overlapping warbonds.... hope Anvil day is worth something.
Do t know about the kraken rather have the polis
I have both so I have no preference!
I want to like Drake ships, but ...
Perseus 👉👈
Release the Krakken lol.
Hope I win!
