“I did it for love” Oh please. That explanation flew out of the window when they said he started planning it BEFORE he met the girl. He was greedy, plain and simple.

In prison we called him Moondizle. He taught me how to play piano. He is different but a nice person.

What he did to Dr. Gibson was deplorable. Years of his research gone. I’ve seen the video of Gibson testifying on the stand, holding back his tears over what was genuinely stolen from him! Thad received extra departures (more years added to sentence) for the action of stolen research books alone. These were to help Gibson publish a book.
I don’t feel sympathy for Thad. Don’t fall for the cheap charm and slick charisma. There are a lot of bright students who come from shitty childhoods and wouldn’t steal national treasures that belong to all of us! Congratulations to Axel Emmerman, FBI, NASA Police and all authorities for apprehending this crook. He took up a space from someone who wanted to be there and wouldn’t make it about themselves.

He was my host brother during our senior year at Clearfield High School in Clearfield, UT (class of '95); I was an exchange stundent at the time. We. were in the swim team together and we ate standing side by side in that yearbook picture. To me That was a sweet and gentil soul. His father was EXTREMELY ABUSIVE with the kids, so I had no choice but to contat the exchange student program to find me another family, as that I became afraid that he was going to do the same thing to me! Years later, while he was still married to his first wife, who was also a friend of minr, we met, they came for a visit, we went to the U of U observatory and I had a chance to see through the eyes of this very powerful telescope the surface of the mon like never before, it was AWESOME !!!!! A few years later I found out about the whole NASA thing but was neither ashamed nor mad at him or surprised, considering the fact that he came from a very disfunctional family! We finally connected last year and I was very pleased to know that he is married with a very sweet woman (we chat on the mobile as well) and that he did not give up his dream. :)

I can't stop laughing at his stupidity... but at some point I pity him for not being properly look after by his parents... He's seriously a troubled person looking for attentions, and I don't think his parents ever gave him enough of that when he was young...

I warn all you thieves, which is over 90% of you, a motive is not an excuse. Excuses are like assholes; everyone's got one. I admit integrity is worth nothing in our society, but that's a motive not an excuse as well.

Like I’m watching this video and he’s explaining this kind of higher dimensional geometric structure that ties together all of the constants of the universe in this crazy beautiful symmetry and he mentions off hand about doing physics in prison. I look him up and woah he’s kind of my hero now lol

I guess it's kind of like international waters... ever consider the Antarctic treaty... every country wants a piece of it... the Third Reich claimed it a long time ago... how come nobody's ever tried to claim the Moon I mean we went up there we put the flag there.... so is that like the 51st state or what???? .. if I start a colony on the moon.... is the United States going to impose a stamp act on my colony... like Great Britain did to the original 13 colonies.... in 2002 like a hundred grams of moon rocks were stolen... they were valued at 21 million dollars.... do you seriously believe in this day and age we can't send an unmanned probe to the Moon... have it scoop up 20 lb of moon rocks and return.... just think about it in 2002. 100g. According to United States government has a value of 20 million dollars.... and nobody holds the mineral rights to the Moon..... do you honestly think that Russia the next closest.. to us in the space race and whom we depend upon now to get people back and forth from the shuttle..... would not have gone and brought back more I mean it's the most precious material known to mankind according to the United States government...
But in 2002... the Johnson Space Station was basically storing them in filing cabinet????? I mean what the hell it didn't cost them 50 million dollars a day....!!!!

Thad may have the basis for a Grand Unified Theory, in 11-dimensional space with quantized space as a superfluid. A most unusual and most interesting view of the universe's structure, and the constants in it. I hope he gets into space one day.

ust for your information, over 500 rock and soil samples are released by the Lunar Sample Laboratory Facility at the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas every year to scientists and organizations who wish to study lunar geology. At this stage literally tens of thousands of geological experts from all over the globe have examined the samples, published their findings and verified their origin as lunar. Take care.
